It is a sad feeling when I look at this lovely game with a sense of obligation or dread. One engenders the other. The obligation exists because of the privilege of responsibility, but the dread because of the malingering feeling that the responsibility is not being fulfilled as it should. With a great host of players, it is easy to feel you are selling them short. But then everyone is in a different time in their lives, and even if there is time, each of us has a different order of priorities and a different level of responsibilities. I won't lie, sometimes I think it is better to dote on my newish husband or console one of the girls I mentor than to make sure I've tended to pending game questions. On other days, I will ignore tasks just to work on a lore. Also, a parent cannot contribute as much as a single student. We all have different concerns. In my life, there is work, a strong family presence, minding a home, shopping for a house, a new husband, my faith, a team of 10 volunteers I manage, several post work meetings a week (usually over 3 hours), friendships to maintain, social events and over a 100 girls who look to me for guidance. I cannot contribute as much as others and there are even some who cannot contribute as much as me. What drives work is passion, and I, regretfully, have not felt it for a bit. Searching for a file on my computer I came across an old document that had saved posts from a different time in my writing life. It made me nostalgic. I miss being excited. I miss having buddies I could talk to and write with. The sort who were as enthusiastic as I was about plots and PC's. It was a friendlier time. I wonder why the change happened. Was it the amount of time I had? Was it the people? The characters? The conversations? I have added a little corner to this place and proudly watched talented people grow the game even more. There are plots I am proud to be a part of (looking at you Hai peeps). And, yet, I feel more left out and alone than ever. P.S. On an entirely unrelated note, thank you for my presents Mao and Sysy

Colombina, I don't think I can write a long speech out at this point, so I'll keep it brief. You're an amazing moderator and we all love you to death for giving us so much, both in this game and in support. For a year of my life I've been writing Hirem from failed concept to living, breathing person, and I have you to thank for it. You may not have the writing muse at this point in time, but that's okay. You've already given us so much, I doubt we will mind an absence or a farewell.
