Leiwinn reached down and grasped the hem of her black pants, pulling them up over her hips and pulling the drawstring tight. Next she bent over and pulled on her boots, tightly lacing them all the way up. She reached to her right and grabbed one of the many weapons in her chest, the dagger she had been given by the Father, and slipped it into her right boot. Next came her belt, to which was attached her short sword and throwing daggers. Finally she pulled on her top, a sleeveless black shirt that left her midriff exposed, and spent the next few moments tying up her hair and straightening everything out. It had been some time since she had worn the outfit and she was pleased to find it still fit properly. Choosing not to wear the mask for the time she tucked it into her belt, put on her cloak, and walked out of her tent.

Leiwinn had risen early, hoping to wake before the rest of those who were camping on the circus grounds, and the sun was just rising in the sky to the east. Nobody else seemed to be awake yet, just as she had hoped, so Leiwinn quickly made her way out of the camp and down the path toward the city. The suns golden rays streaked over the city lighting it up and by the time she found herself walking its streets the sun was fully in the sky.

Though she had spent many years in Sunberth, Leiwinn knew very little about it. Whenever the Father had taken her out she would always be blindfolded until they reached their destination, or it would be on dark nights when it was hard for her to get her bearings anyway. After she killed the Father Leiwinn ran out of the house in a frenzy, too distraught to pay attention to her surroundings, and so Leiwinn had never really known where she even lived. After her escape, before joining the circus, she spent most of her time living in inns and rarely venturing outside for fear that somehow the Father might be alive and come after her. It was quite a while before she finally went out again, and when she did it was to join the Circus.

Leiwinn wandered up and down street after street as the morning dragged on, searching for something that might remind her of home. At one point she considered asking if anyone remembered the Father but of course they would have known him by some alias or even his real name, and Leiwinn didn't know any of those things. He was also a master of disguise so it was unlikely anyone ever even saw his true face. Not for the first time Leiwinn felt the stabbing pain of regret for having killed him so early. What other secrets could he have taught her? And of course with him died the knowledge of why her parents had been killed. I should have waited longer, she thought to herself, I should have bided my time and learned all he had to teach, and maybe then I could have extracted some information before sending him to the goddess.

Leiwinn sighed and continued on her way. She didn't know what she was looking for, hoping she would spot something familiar, but it truly didn't seem like she would. And then she saw it. Something that nobody else would have really taken note of, being that it was just a simple window, but it brought forth a memory in her mind. The Father always made her look away before he went outside the house, that way she wouldn't see where they were, but sometimes Leiwinn cheated. Sometimes Leiwinn would peek into the reflection of her dagger which she would tilt toward the door and she would see outside. There wasn't much to see, really, just the backside of some building and a boarded up window. The very same window she was staring at at that very moment! It had to be it, she knew it, which meant that the door directly across from that window was the Father's house!

Leiwinn turned and reached out to open the door, but when her hand touched the doorknob she stopped. What if somebody lives here now, she wondered, Or what if the body is still inside, rotting away? What if the place has been cleaned out already, and there are no clues left to find? For several chimes Leiwinn stood at the door, unsure of what to do. Shakily, her hand let go of the knob as she began to lose her courage. I don't know what could be waiting on the other side.. maybe I should wait. No, I need to go in, I need to see this. But.. I don't know if I can. To a passing stranger it might have looked rather odd to see her there, but Leiwinn didn't care what other people though, she was too busy having a mental conversation with herself. Leiwinn, you have to go inside. But.. I'm afraid.

Memories (Bob Barton)

Postby Bob Barton on October 8th, 2011, 2:36 am

Bob just woke up when the sun was just rising all wet on his face. "Alright, alright Jinsen! What have I told you about getting on my bed?" His bed? He did not remember it being so stiff, even Killroy was not that cheap to his employees. He didn't even remember having a skyview in his room and yet the yellow beams were getting into his eyes after he got the dog slobber all off. Then he sat up with feeling that "my head hurts..." and saw that around him were a whole lot of "tents? Whats going on here Jinsen?"

Stuck in such a strange situation Bob quickly stood up and looked around. This place looks familiar with all these tents about especially that big one in the center. "The circus? What am I doing here?" he managed to moan out before crouching on the floor again holding on to his head. "Ohhhhhh, my head...you think you can tell me what happened yesterday Jinsen?" The dog sure had a way of showing it running all over the grounds until Bob had enough of it making his headache worse. "Jinsen, back..." he called waving his hand towards him but the dog ran to one of the bushes on the side and tried to signal Bob there. He was not in the mood for its games so he raised his voice "Jinsen, back!" pointing to the spot in front of him.

Still not listening? Then Bob had no choice. "Really Jinsen, sometimes I don't even know why you listen to me and why you don't..." moving towards the dog disappointed. Can't be happy with it and can't be angry with it either but as he was walking he saw a figure exiting a tent. Bob did have some stake in the circus but he didn't really care much about taking part in it. Investments and returns. That was all he cared about so it was surprising that someone would be working so early in the morning. Maybe it was finally time to see more about what the circus was about?

"Jinsen, come" quickly before she gets away. Bob has never seen that woman before, he thinks because if he did he would definitely remember her from the shape cast in the shadows of the sun alone. "Hurry Jinsen, hurry!" he called out to his dog with open arms to get it to come. No way he was letting a woman like that get away so fast. The bad thing with playful and affectionate dogs like that is they are hard to train but the good thing was that they were easy to control once you grasp their motivation and for Jinsen, it was just giving it attention. A lot of attention like he was doing now but sometimes Bob thinks it was more about patience.

Once Jinsen came, Bob put it on a leash and got it to lead him. "Remember, we are following her." He has tried a few times to let his dog lead or follow specific targets but failed more than he succeeded. Jinsen got sidetracked too easily so hopefully today it will be more focused. If not then it would depend on Bob's focus on the woman which should be easy enough. He was already pretty focused on her.

Then they started following the woman. At first it was just like any normal day with a few turns here and there. Alright, not so normal. Jinsen got sidetracked first as usual and Bob had to pull and tug on the leash to stop the dog from getting at the trashcans. "Stop! I am already feeding you well enough so that you don't have to eat from the trash!" which was disgusting. It was said that a dog's behavior reflected its master's so definitely Bob was not going to allow his own dog to eat from the trash. "We got to follow her!" he reminded the dog this time taking the lead. It was hard to keep track of the woman and keep the dog from getting at the trash at the same time.

But after a while Bob started to get bored as well. Then it was a good thing that the dog was going at the trashcans because "this trashcan looks a bit familiar..." Actually a lot of them started to look familiar. He was not an expert on trashcans but he could see some oddities he has seen before. Like the same ragged coat or the bin that Jinsen toppled over when Bob finally lost his grip earlier. This woman..."she is going around in circles..." But for what? It could be time soon then that Bob should leave her alone because this was not doing much for him. He could approach her now if he wanted to, but not suddenly in the middle of nowhere especially when it could let her know that he was stalking her from the circus where they began.

Finally the long trip was over. Of all the buildings she walked past she went to the door of one to turn the handle. But she didn't. All she did was just stand there. This could be a chance for Bob to find out how to approach her. Bob tethered Jinsen to a nearby pole and snuck up to the woman who was lost in her thoughts. From the back, he could see nothing. Then he went to the side. She looked familiar somehow, but he could not recall from where. Obviously the circus but who? Still, she was very...enough for Bob to whistle if he did not remember that he did not want to surprise her. FInally he decided to approach her and as he got close he saw her face. It was Leiwinn. Better still.

He went straight for a greeting. "Leiwinn, I knew that it was you!" Actually not but it would be good to let her think he did. "What are you doing here? Maybe preparing for another dinner? I hope you enjoyed the last one the way I did." Bob has always been looking for another shot at alone time with Leiwinn so why not now?

Memories (Bob Barton)

Postby Leiwinn on October 9th, 2011, 10:01 pm

Leiwinn wasn't expecting to be interupted by anyone. People usually didn't bother shadowy armed figures wandering the streets of Ravok, which was the entire reason she had chosen to dress the way she did that day. Furthermore, the fact that she had allowed somebody to approach unnoticed was just.. well it just wasn't acceptable. Leiwinn jumped at the sound of Bob's voice and her hand went for her sword as she tensed and turned Bob's way, but at the sight of his face she visibly relaxed. Just Bob.. nothing to worry about. Her hand left the hilt of her sword and she offered the man a friendly smile.

"Oh, Bob.. what are you doing out here?"

Bob was asking her the same thing, and Leiwinn supposed she was the suspicious looking one. Would Bob turn her in for breaking and entering if he saw her do it? It was Sunberth.. so probably not. Most people didn't stick up for each other in a place like Sunberth, but what if Bob was a different sort? I should probably keep him here, Leiwinn thought to herself, If it looks like he's going to be a problem, I'll have to kill him. Leiwinn nodded her head towards the door, turning away from the man and facing it.

"I used to live here. My... father, he died here. I.." I can't tell him the truth. I can't tell him I killed the Father. Leiwinn sighed and took a deep breath before continuing. "I wanted to look around.. see if I could find any clues. Maybe I can find out who killed him. I.. I don't know. I just wanted to look inside, but it's been a long time. The place might have been cleaned up by now, and people might be living here now."

Leiwinn sighed and turned back to Bob. She knew it wasn't necessary, Bob liked her, but as she looked into his eyes she called upon her hidden power. When she had joined the circus before, people had known about her power. Essik didn't seem to remember, or perhaps he never knew, but Leiwinn was certain that nobody else knew about her. She needed to keep practicing, to get better, and Bob was the lucky guinea pig for her to use her magic on. Her eyes implored him to trust her, not to say anything. Trust. Trust was the magic that filled her gaze, and floated across the air to touch Bob's mind. Even if he already trusted her, even if he never had any intentions to turn her in for what she was about to do, Leiwinn still sent the magic. Just a tiny bit, just a subtle suggestion to strengthen his trust. She had been doing it every day since they met, but this was one time when it really did matter. Bob couldn't tell anyone about her being at the place, he had to trust her.

"I don't think anyone is home right now. ..I'm going in. You can come if you want, but you don't have to be a part of this. If I get caught breaking in to somebody's house I don't know what will happen, but you have to trust me when I tell you I just want to look around. Okay?"

Memories (Bob Barton)

Postby Bob Barton on October 9th, 2011, 11:10 pm

A question for a question? Swell...but the answer was not something Bob could give because he had absolutely no idea except that he had the perfect excuse thought up for moments like this and that was "just walking the dog." A dog which was probably barking a little excitedly as it noticed the sword that Bob missed. Now he had better things to look forward to and Jinsen was not helping him one bit with the barking. Tugging a little at the leash to get its attention he told it in a rough voice to "hush up Jinsen!" He didn't need his own dog to blow his chances with Leiwinn. There will be other opportunities for it to mess up Bob's life in the future.

Bob had already found out that in Sunberth its better to not ask too much questions. Not because its likely to get you hurt but because the answers are normally that which you don't want to hear. Like someone's dead father. Great, daddy issues. Bob did not know his own father that well but he was sure it was pretty swell so he was pretty "sorry to hear that Leiwinn." A man who could raise up a daughter like Leiwinn despite living in somewhere like Sunberth should be pretty good no matter how you think of it. Knowing how her father really was would not really change how cheerful he was at how things turned out. In fact, he would be laughing out loud congratulating her on a job well done because...it should be something worth celebrating right?

If Leiwinn really lived in this house it would be a really good opportunity for Bob to gain more insight into this interesting woman so "yes, why don't we look around for some clues?" thought the clues Bob would be looking are different for his own motives. She shouldn't trust him now, just as he did not trust anyone too easily. While her eyes told him to trust her, the suggestion given by the hypnotism was added to by his own brain. Bob never trusted anything without having any reason to so like he wanted to, he will be finding reason to and of course anything he found out would be his little secret.

If there was no one in the house that would be good, but if not "we had better come out some excuse just in case." This was Sunberth for crying out loud. No one cared if you break into someone's house. Bob would know. He has done it quite a few times but not really by his own accord. He would blame it on the bad influence of people like in the Crimson Edge. Hopefully this would not be the case with Leiwinn but only time will tell "so what are you waiting for? Lets go check it out." If she would be struggling to make the decision to open the door, she would find that Bob would gladly make the decision by opening the door for her. The front door. Bob's best way to get into a building.

Memories (Bob Barton)

Postby Leiwinn on October 9th, 2011, 11:42 pm

Leiwinn let her magic fade. One nudge a day was more than enough to keep Bob under control, not that he seemed to be a problem in any case. Bob was quite interested in her and she knew it. He'd been interested in her from the moment they met, and Leiwinn was all to happy to indulge his interests so long as it benifitted her some how. "To be honest, I hadn't considered an excuse. If there are people inside.. I'll deal with it then. What sort of excuse can you give someone for breaking into their home in any case?"

Leiwinn shrugged and pushed against the door. At first it didn't budge and she thought it might be locked, but when she shoved a bit harder she realized it was only stuck. Perhaps the house had shifted, or the wood had swollen due to rain, but the door was unlocked and Leiwinn was able to open it fully on the third try. "I guess nobody is home." A rat scurried across her path as Leiwinn stepped inside but she ignored it. Rats were the least of her concerns. The room was dark, as she expected it to be. All the windows in the house had been boarded up, and Leiwinn had not thought to bring a torch, but slowly her eyes adjusted to the darkness and she was able to look around better.

The front door opened to the common room, but Leiwinn knew there were three other rooms in the house. One was hers, the other the kitchen, and the last room was the Father's. If there were any clues to be found it would be in his room, but it seemed that the house had been picked clean. Leiwinn glanced at the kitchen door, but did not head towards it. That was where she had poisoned the Father, and if his body was still there she didn't want to see it just yet. Instead Lewinn headed for the Father's room, pushing open the door. The mattress had rotted and had rat feces all over it, and the dresser drawers had been picked clean of most of the clothing. What little remained had been chewed up by the rats.

"Well.. it looks like nobody has lived her, but the house has obviously been picked clean by scavengers." Scavengers, both human and animal, for there were no weapons or gold left in the house either. Leiwinn walked about, examining every nook and cranny of the room, but she could find nothing of interest. Sighing to herself she walked back into the common room, wondering if the entire trip had been a complete waste. There were still two other rooms to explore, however, so Leiwinn couldn't leave just yet.

OOCWe don't have to find anything right way, but I'll say now that hidden under a floorboard in Leiwinn's own room is the Father's journal, which one of us will eventually find and is the whole point of this thread. ...also the Father's skeleton is at the on the ground next to the kitchen table. His flesh was eaten by the rats, and anything valuable on him was taken by thieves, but it's still in there. Feel free to have Bob discover either of these things, though I would prefer to get further in before discovering the journal.

Memories (Bob Barton)

Postby Bob Barton on October 10th, 2011, 10:16 am

"Excuses? Plenty" but getting others to believe them was an entirely different thing. Not a problem here because there are no other people to hear it. Nobody but "rats. Why did it have to be rats?" Bob had already been spending a lot more time with them than a person would think of as healthy. Ever since the chaos where he had gotten them but even the smaller ones still made his face wince in disgust. Besides the rats and nobody, "did you find anything else?" Stupid question as Bob would find out soon. The house was dark.

Not a problem for Bob. He may not have a torch but he did have....Jinsen! Yes his dog. Dogs had a lot more better sense than humans so it can help him navigate around. "You've done this before Jinsen, you can do it again" he told it encouragingly while pointing its head into the house. "Lets see if we can find anything alright?" and then they were off. Bob being led into the house by his little dog.

It worked out alright at the start. The dog had other ideas so they ended up splitting up from Leiwinn who Bob lost in the darkness. Lucky Jinsen's coat was white enough to make out faintly in the dark. All those times of paying more attention to it than the other dogs in Killroy's finally paid off and Bob only had to follow Jinsen wherever it went. Until he lost it in the darkness too then it was only the leash helping him which did not work out too well once "CRASH!" he stumbled over something in the dark and fell over.

Jinsen always Bob's loyalish companion followed through with his command just like the day before. Taking off after catching the scent of something interesting. Probably not driven by Bob's command but that is something that he will at least hope everytime something like this happens. "Help?" he asked out pathetically before getting himself up and following the path his dog took. Now that he had to rely on himself, it seemed that his eyes got used to the darkness as well at least enough for him not to stumble across anything.

But what he found in what looked like a kitchen. At least that was what Bob could think of seeing some of the crockery left behind. Even looters knew better than to interfere with a man's last meal which smelled horrible from being allowed to fester so long. Bob had to hold his nose and in a squeaky voice told "Jinsen! Get away from there. Come on back here" gesturing the dog to come and grabbing hold of its leash once more. "I think I found your father!" he yelled out to get Leiwinn's attention. More like Jinsen found her father but since Bob was the owner, he gets to take the credit. For now Jinsen would have to contend with some petting and a "good boy Jinsen" before Bob moving over towards the skeletal remains.

If it was a dead body it would be better since Bob would know how her father died but skeleton? The only thing he could think of was the man died eating. "Hope it was a good meal for you then" he told the skeleton not expecting any foul play. For all he knew the man died choking on his food but then "how can Leiwinn be so sure someone killed him...?" Maybe there was more than just this which Bob just could not see around the house. So its back to "Jinsen! Have a look around." While the dog did not find anything good from the Kelvic nonsense the day before, it could prove itself now.

Should Leiwinn enter the kitchen now she would see Bob fighting to pry one of the bones of Father away from his dog's mouth shouting "no, no Jinsen. You can't eat that. You don't know where its been!" Wasn't this the first lesson that Bob taught his dog? Stupid dogs! You can never expect what they were going to do.

Memories (Bob Barton)

Postby Leiwinn on October 14th, 2011, 12:13 am

Leiwinn heard the loud crash and the call for help but ignored it, knowing Bob was probably just being his usual silly self. If he had truly needed her help she believed she would be able to tell from his voice that something was wrong. That is why when she heard him yell about her father she knew he was being serious. "Oh, Dira take me now, dare I go and look upon him?" Leiwinn's whispered question would go unheard and unanswered as she slowly built up the courage to head into the kitchen. When she walked in she was met with a rather disturbing, albeit comical, sight. Bob was wrestling with his dog Jinsen to get a bone out of his mouth, and though she knew where the bone had come from she still found it a bit amusing. Her eyes scanned the rest of the skeleton and Leiwinn felt.. nothing. She had expected guilt, remorse, maybe even pride, but she didn't feel any of those things when she looked on him.

It was all at once disconcerting and liberating. Leiwinn had been so worried that she wouldn't face up to what she did but once she saw the skeletal remains she knew she had been right. Leiwinn hadn't loved the Father, he wasn't her real father, and killing him had been the only way to free herself. The old man probably understood, and Leiwinn almost believed he might have even approved. She had, afterall, been his chosen replacement. What would he think if he knew she had turned to the circus life, she wondered?

"He was poisoned," Leiwinn commented after she took a deep breath and stepped fully into the room. She didn't feel the need to mention that she as the one who had done it, not that she regretted it. Not anymore. Leiwinn stepped over the skeleton, a stray bone crunching under her foot as she moved over to the cabinets and began looking through them. Just because the Father was dead didn't mean that there wouldn't be clues somewhere in the house, she just had to find them. "Oh, and he's not my father," she added. "He was called The Father, but not mine."

The cabinets yielded no clues either, only broken dishes and cutlery, none of which she had any use. Leiwinn moved to the drawers, to the cabinets below the counter, all empty. Nothing. It was useless. Leiwinn sighed, turning around and facing Bob and the dog. "Well.. I guess there's only one room left." Leiwinn headed for the door winking at Bob as she walked by. "Wanna see my bedroom, Bob," she joked as she headed for her old room.

If Bob had any expectations when he entered the bedroom he would be disappointed. The room was empty, completely empty. No bed, no dresser, not even a closet, just an empty featureless room. Leiwinn sighed, knowing it would be that way. "This is where he kept me," she muttered nervously, biting her lower lip. Leiwinn walked into the middle of the room before turning to face the silhouette in the doorway that was Bob, illuminated by the light of the front door in the room behind him. "He didn't let me have a bed.. sometimes a blanket in the winter, but never a bed. He said the floor would harden my body against the outside world." Leiwinn stopped. Why was she telling him all this? Was she actually becoming attached to the little man so much that she was willing to confide in him? Leiwinn shook her head, "I.. I'm sorry. I don't know why I'm telling you this."

Leiwinn let out another sigh and her shoulders slumped. "I don't think we'll be finding anything in here. Maybe we should just go.."

Memories (Bob Barton)

Postby Bob Barton on October 14th, 2011, 4:37 am

Bob would not know where the bone has been but now he knows that it was "Poisoned?" before. There shouldn't be any left on it but there was no point in taking any chances so "you spit that out right now Jinsen!" he yelled at the dog worried as he took another pull. The bone flew over him and landed somewhere behind him before it could have a chance to affect his dog so "good riddance to that old thing" before pulling Jinsen away from trying to get another bone forcing Bob to give empty promises that "I will get you somemore bones when we get back Jinsen so just...stop!" which the greedy dog understood and obeyed.

Just in time to hear the rest of what Leiwinn had to say about her father who was "not your father?" Very strange that she would go through all this effort of trying to break into the house and find out who killed him. But Bob understood all that since "if anyone poisoned my uncle, I'd definitely try and avenge him" even if their relationship was estranged since the day he left. Talking about subjects like this about dead relatives was pretty depressing so when Leiwinn suggested to see her bedroom, or course Bob agreed. It will help him with the reason he followed her in here besides the reason of trying to help her.

It turned out a lot more depressing especially when he heard about the way she was being treated by her...the father. Bob could sense a little bit that she was a little bit uncomfortable with the place and asked "are you alright?" Stupid, stupid question. A childhood like that will definitely be traumatizing no matter how good being hardened for the outside would be so "I guess its good then that you have a new life in the circus with the big tents and the animals" he said trying to console her with the only thing that he actually knew about her.

"No, don't be sorry" because Bob did get some insight into Leiwinn today. And the room was just far too barren to really find anything unless that blanket she talked about was still around. But that would probably be in the possession of some lucky hobo out there in Sunberth who was able to get warm during the winters. "Yes, we should go. It looks like you need to get away from this place. How about the tavern?" he asked with a smile and gestured her to follow.

Memories (Bob Barton)

Postby Leiwinn on October 21st, 2011, 12:35 am

Leiwinn was a bit disappointed. It seemed that her entire plan to seek out the home of the Father and find answers had been busted. There was nothing to be found, and certainly no clues leading to the reason her actual parents had been killed. Now she had no idea what to do, though it did seem there was a light at the end of the tunnel. Bob Barton, the strange little man who's weird personality she was beginning to find more and more charming. You always pick the rejects, don't you Leiwinn, she thought to herself as Bob suggested they head to a tavern. "Alright, that sounds good. Let's get out of this place." Leiwinn started to walk towards the door but on her second step the floor creaked when she put her foot down. Jinsen's ears perked up at that and the dog ran over, sniffing at the floor beneath Leiwinn's foot.

"Well, now, what do we have here?"

Curiously, Leiwinn knelt and pushed on the floorboard, which gave a little under the pressure. Could just be a rotten board, Leiwinn thought to herself, but she very much doubted it. The Father kept his house in perfect condition, and for one board to be rotten when none of the others were, it was just highly unlikely. Leiwinn reached for the dagger hidden in her boot and withdrew it, wedging it under the floorboard. The wood groaned and creaked before Leiwinn finally applied just the right amount of pressure and it popped loose, a small cloud of dust rising into the air as it did so.

Leiwinn waved away the dust with a hand and peered into the small cubby she had found. Inside was a leatherbound journal which Leiwinn pulled out and held it into the light. "The Journal of Caius Lazerin," she whispered. Could this be the Father's real name? Cautiously, almost reverently, Leiwinn opened to the first page of the journal, but snapped it shut just as quickly. It was neither the time nor the place to read it, she would just be straining her eyes in the dark and leaving Bob standing there awkwardly while she read.

Leiwinn stood back up and smiled at her companion. It was a genuine smile because Leiwinn was genuinely pleased with her find. "Well, I guess this trip wasn't for nothing afterall." Leiwinn reached out for Bob's hand, taking it in her own while she held the book in her other hand. "Let's see about that tavern then," she said, waiting for Bob to lead the way.

OOCYou can choose the tavern.

Bob was just about to leave through the door when Jinsen suddenly left him to sniff at Jinsen. "Stop that Jinsen! How many times must I tell you that its rude to sniff at people? Come on back, come on..." he called out gesturing the dog to come back before someone kicked it off like they always do. Whats more is that Leiwinn is for Bob, not Jinsen. The dog would have to go and look for its own companion if Bob was not good enough for it but he really hoped that he was good enough for her.

But the dog just did not want to listen to him...as usual and it was going to happen again. Jinsen got Leiwinn's attention and now she was going down towards it for reasons he would only know once it was too late. And Leiwinn was such a good catch too. A pity he would have to avoid her if she did something bad to Jinsen. So "hurry up back here Jinsen, hurry!" he stressed staring at the dog and lightly smacking his hand on the floor to call it over.

He knew it, the dog knew it, it was going to happen eventually. As soon as Bob and Jinsen saw the glint of the dagger coming from the boot the dog ran straight towards Bob who caught and shielded it with his arms. "This is all your fault Jinsen. Now I am going to have to avoid her too. How many times have you done this already?" he whispered quietly to the dog as he got up expecting Leiwinn to follow through with the dagger. Instead of attacking them however, she was attacking the floor. Better than Jinsen which he put back on the ground and commanded "stay close to me this time...or else, no dinner!" he whispered. Yes bad dogs get no dinner. Bob couldn't discipline it with violence because that was not the way he got the dog. He got it with food so he assumes that it was the acceptable method to use.

It was until Leiwinn took out the journal when Bob knew why she did what she did. "I assume that was what you were looking for?" Before taking her hand he put Jinsen back on its leash whispering "behave and don't blow this for me" before he led Leiwinn out of the house. "I think the Pig's Foot would be nice, it should be a good place for you to read that journal too" and then share its contents if she wanted to.
