Baine Coolwater Age 22 Race: Vantha Height 5' 10'' Weight 168 lbs Hair: Dark brown Eyes: Sea Gray most days, but can change to a clear, crulian blue when happy, or a frosty, ice gray when angry to grey tinged with red when angry enough to kill, though his eyes have only gotten that shade once, and he hated the feeling so much, that desire to kill another human, that he swore to work on his anger. Knowing that drinking to the point that he got drunk is not a way of life for him, it's something he has to avoid. There's also that special shade, for that special someone, a rich gray tinged with purple that will let the one he loves know that his heart is true. *NOTE: The image now used for Baine is not the original image. It was changed when it was made known to me that the avatar I was using was in use by another player.* Appearance Well chiseled. Words that are often used to describe Baine Coolwater. Both in form and face, his crafter sparred no room for excess. Though slender, he's not thin, muscles move in well rippled form under golden skin. His face too, is sleek, square jawed. Handsome, even though only twenty-three, there is nothing left of the boy he was only five short years ago. Hard work and life lived much aboard the various fishing craft his family operated aged his face and hardened his body to what he is today. [History and Character Concept:] History: Baine , the eldest son in a family of five sons, had a terrific if hardworking childhood. A fisherman's son, he learned sail-craft and fishing at his father's knee, and his love of the the his Morwen, her bedazzling city, and the glorious sea seeped into his pours from the time when his father first presented him to the snow as a child, laying him naked, into the pristine whiteness of the first snowfall after his birth, after he'd taken him to be presented to Morwin herself to receive her mark that late fall day. Baine's mother would tell him to smile more and show her the eyes she so very much loved, the ones she first saw that day as he lay waving his arms at her, grinning up at her, happily cradled in Morwin's own bunting. All through his childhood, Baine felt Morwen close to him, wrapping him in her comfort, as she did all her people. And as his father taught him of honor and responsibility, and to do what is right, his desire to return the favor grew. Character Concept: Although his father wants him to be his heir and take over the family's fishing industry, Baine has his mind, heart and soul set on another goal. From as long as he can remember, he'd longed to be a member of the ice watch. For him, it was more than having a bear companion, though the though of having a Kelvic bear bond with him gave him a feeling that was even better than the first time he'd taken out a skiff on his own for a night fish, and that still gave him tingles when he remembered it—being a member of the ice watch and being able to protect and defend the city he loved seemed to call to him. It was as though there was a piece of himself missing, as though he himself were a puzzle and parts of that puzzle were missing. The only way he could find those missing pieces was to be able to protect and defend those whom he loved and the city he loved. Merits and Flaws: Baine has a strong sense of doing what is right and defending the city and people he loves. Though, he can be stuburn about what is right, and not easy to convince differently if he's wrong. Hardworking but can let other's needs and goals get him sidetracked from his goal. He's blunt but can sometimes seem brash, and while he loves the people in his life, can equate doing things for them as showing them the affection they need. While he's not quick to anger, once he does get angry, he can have trouble controlling his anger and have to be held in check by someone else. If not, he can go too far and regret his actions afterwards.
