Hi Guys! Basically, I wanted to let you in on what I've been thinking and hearing so no one in Riverfall is really 'in the dark' etc. Stranger approached me about how crazy her life has been and that its going to get even more crazy here very shortly and that she felt she needed to think about possibly retiring but that she needed a few days to think it over. That being said, hours and even days later I've heard that she has officially retired from about ten to fifteen people and most of chat and that its 'set in stone'. Now I haven't heard anything definitive from her yet, so her status is going to be unknown until I do. I dislike missed messages and the rumor mill, so I discount it whenever I can and will wait for her official word if and when it comes. That being said, cities need active engaged moderators. There has been a noted lack of steady moderation in Riverfall for ages. When people have been here, they've done their best. Its had DS's come and go that tend to vanish, and AS have just about as bad of a track record. Its time that changed. Riverfall is rife with potential. This city has both Wysar and Akajia here full time which means the Irst and an entire city devoted to so many good things its not even funny. I'm very tired of the jokes about Riverfall, the pettiness directed at it, and the fact that no one thinks its safe to come here, especially if you are females. There are very lucrative offers here for females, but that being said, other things should far outweigh even that. So, with that in mind, I'm going to gut Riverfall completely, get rid of the patchwork quilt look to the city, put in a REAL MAP that is elegantly done so people know where to go and what things are where. From there I'm going to redo the link map, rev up the locations because frankly some of them are boring and predictable, and make the city unroll its welcome map and indeed do my darndest to change the way people see Riverfall. I want to put it on the map as an epicenter for great quests, stellar moderation, and quick response times. What does this mean exactly? I'm taking over. Wind Reach is in great hands with Phoenix and she's even offered to do some guesting here to fill in the gaps or grade things I can't because I have a PC here. It's going to be a new experience for me, moderating where I actually do the majority of my playing, but I think Riverfall deserves it. I'm tired of sitting back and seeing all the TLC other moderators give their cities while Riverfall has very little attention by DS's. It deserves more. It will get more. I want to spearhead new ideas here, unveil concepts we haven't see yet on games like this, and try to take this city to a new level. That being said, I'm going to work on Cyphrus heavily as well, assuming a RS type spot there and overseeing the cities in the area. I'm hoping people like Trident who have domains that touch will be willing to play footsie with me under the table and bounce quests back and forth so we can really interact with our environment and get things rolling. This will mean a Win-Win situation for Cyphrus, the Suvan, and all the cities scattered about the region. This will also help out Endrykas. This is your warning. This is your heads up. Hopefully this will get people fired up to really rp in the region and explore the themes Riverfall and Cyphrus have to offer. And as an initial start, I've posted a moderation request thread for folks to throw in their XP and let me know if they need any help. I've had a city itch for quite a while. This will be a good way to scratch it.
