Slowly the man looked up at her blinking confused. The armored arm reached out nervously and took the muffin from her. He held it, he lowered his scarf though he kept his head down as he ate to keep his face from being revealed.

"I, uhh, t-thank you, this, this is very appreciated" He seemed awkward and not used to the concept of compaction. Nervously he ate, shyly trying not to raise his head. The shame from before preventing his actions.

"Uh I, am, it, um." He groaned and smashed the ground with his left fist sinking it into the frozen ground. The stone like fist was clad in a glove but its power was not dimmed any less. Reason for this action was simple, he was frusterated, at the fact he couldn't express himself properly.
"Where life leads me, is where I shall go. The greater question is, who is willing to accompany me on such a long travel?"

Aiza smiled when he took the muffin from her hand. She clasped her hands together and nodded happily. "You are very welcome!" She watched him eat it with a wide smile and sat down next to him. That wasn't hard. A good way to break the ice is always food she knew it would be--!!!

The man's sudden action made her jump. She fell back wards landing on her back. She squeaked and in a quick twist of light shifted. Her clothes fell limp on the ground as if she just disappeared. A small dump was left where she was. The bump moved then a silver cat's head popped out of the clothing. She mewed and started to back up, away from him.

Blinking at the small cat he dropped the muffin, he was surprised, the red of his eyes began turning a softer orange. Reaching downward at the cat, he picked her up easily. This had been the first time he'd ever encountered a Kelvic, his curiosity took over as he examined the cat. It looked like any other and he gently set her down upon the ground. Not saying a word he continued sitting there, just, watching. Eventually that gruff voice of his broke the awkward silence, his frustration towards himself gone.

"This, is a very new experience...." He continued to watch the cat his eyes just visible from the shadow of his hood. Even as the chilling day set upon the new comer to the north he was able to ignore it while he watched the small animal.

Aiza blinked and mewed when the large man picked her up. Her heart raced, her eyes were wide with panic. She had no clue if he was going to harm her or not. Aiza never really minded being picked up. Her father loved picking her up and petting her when she was a kitten. Her mother did the same. It was a comfort thing when she was picked up as a cat.

When he sat her back down she blinked, cocking her head to the side. He was strange. Shifting back she leaned forward, tried to see his eyes again. "I'm sorry, it was a panic reaction...Are you okay?" She was worried about this stranger, he was odd, but he seemed like he needed help. Maybe some comfort of his own.

Carving out a new Future (Open)

He blinked in utter surprise, she had just changed back into a human, or at least looked close to one. Speechless as she got to close to him he leaned back, he then realized she'd yet to put on her close this made him very uncomfortable. A thud struck the cold air as he landed hard onto the ground. The face he kept hidden soon turned as red as his eyes. The top of his hood fell back a slight bit to reveal the top half of his face.

His darkened blonde hair was short and mostly flipped in the front. The scars that marked his face, looked old, painful, they where improperly sewn shut, poorly done. To anyone with a more trained medical eye it would've seemed like he had done the sewing himself. They scared what once might have been a handsome face, it was more evident now that his face came from an Isur though his eyes where Vanathan. He was a mixed breed, and to make it worse he was scared upon his face. One of his scars went from his left eyebrow, down across the bridge of his nose and across a cheek bone, the second one went from just beyond his left eye, then downwards disappearing behind the scarf that hid the rest of his face. The third and last was just past his cheek bone, it was soon gone underneath that same scarf.

Giving out shouts of fight and worry he quickly hid his face turning over on his back and drawing the hood over. The shadow that helped hide his disgrace, this was far from what he had in his mind. He only wanted to find out more about where his mother had come from. Not show the wounds that shammed him, that made him hideous. Those red eyes of his where almost pure, except for a small bit of black near its edges, marking his fear and rage. The rage that never went away, that no matter his other emotions always dominated his eyes. Why he was angry, he didn't know, but it was worse now, he'd let someone see his face. He was very angry with himself for because of this.

Aiza blinked, sitting back on her heels. His anger confused her. Was he afraid to show his face? She cocked her head, dipping it closer to the ground to see his eyes. "What's the matter? Are you hurt? If you are I can't make the pain go away but I could buy you another muffin to get your mind off the pain..." She said in a mew.

Every time she moved to look at his eyes he only retreated farther from her, he was acting like a wild animal. His right armored hand covered his face the dull metal helping to hide his marked face. The green coat tinted was not just an article of clothing to him. It was something that shrouded him from others to protect him in a sense. He had humiliated himself allowing his scars open in public, he was a disgrace already, he was horrified he had showed his face to another. Why did this have to happen to him!? Why did he have to show his face!?

These thoughts plagued him, his mind lost to the irrational fears of his mind. Logic no longer was within his reach as he felt his one bit of security had been lost to him because of his own fault. This thought alone was enough to make him quake, his eyes holding the emotion of fear and rage. His shivering made the metal on his shoulders, arm, and boots rattle. The leather brown belts creaked at his waist as he hunched over away from her trying to evade her, to keep distance. The fear of his scars, the marks on his face, made him fear judgement most of all.

She was baffled. His reaction was wild and fearful. Sitting back again she stared at the large man. He treated her like she was the scariest thing in the world. But she wasn't scary at all... Thinking for a moment she noticed his shivering. He clearly was scared. Aiza then got an idea.

Shifting back into her feline form she jumped into his lap. The small cat began rubbing her cheek against his fur, purring loudly. No one can resist kitty love. It was the only thing Aiza could think to do to help. Pushing her small body against his she purred, hoping he would calm down enough to share why he was so afraid. Because honestly, she just didn't get it.

He looked down at the cat blinking, the white scarf that hid the lower half of his face had small bits of ice on it from his breath. Just barely he felt the small feline rubbing against him. Confused and unable to understand he found himself petting the cat. Petting her with black gloves that ran through her hair.

Slowly he began to relax as the gloved fingers scratched at the cat. He had retreated so far that his back was now against a wall. Slumped looking at the cat he kept scratching just behind her ears. However despite this he remained silent, his determination to hide his face had not faded with his fear.

Carving out a new Future (O

Postby Aiza on November 2nd, 2011, 1:55 am

Aiza purred, letting the man relax now. She felt like this was the only way to get to him. Once he had calmed down she jumped off his lap and shifted again. "What's your name?" It was important to ask that first, she felt. If she was going to keep him calm, maybe knowing his name could help. "I'm Aiza." She smiled sweetly, hoping he would respond. She didn't move from her spot, or try to see his face again, in fact, she diverted her eyes, assuming it was her looking at him causing his freak outs.

She really had never dealt with someone like this. She normally didn't do well with people at all, nor had really good tact in the first place. However, she was good at being kind. Kill 'em with kindness! She felt maybe she could change the world one day with kindness, but that was a silly dream.

Looking off towards the street she could see some people had begun staring at her. Looking down she realized that she was nude. Her mother's voice rang in her head... "They don't understand, just keep your clothes near by when you shift..." Snorting with annoyance on the ignorance of the "normals" she grabbed her cloak and wrapped herself. It was stupid, she felt natural without clothes, even though it was cold, but it felt fine.
