Pray myself we don't forget Lies, betrayed and the oppressed Please give me the strength to be the truth People facing the fire together If we don't, we'll lose all we have found Save your tears For the day When the pain is far behind On your feet Come with me We are soldiers Stand or Die Race: Benshira Age: 30 Height & Weight: 5'10ft, 135lb Birthplace: Yahebah Current Location: Sahova Look At Me... Jette has long dark red hair, stormy blue-grey eyes and brown skin. From hauling heavy barrels and serving ale-filled mugs to sailors, her upper body is toned and strong and her stamina is high. She collects her clothes by bargaining and has manages to swap skirts, belts, linen shirts, corsets, and pants with travelers she runs into. One old shirt often gets traded for a new one, although she keeps the same cloth and leather boots. The many folds in her skirts serve as hidden compartments for a small dagger, mizas, and other easily concealed items. She often wears her hair loose around her shoulders but when fighting or engaging in physical activity she binds it tightly to the back of her head with a leather string either in a braid or a pony tail. Take it or Leave it... With a lawful attitude, Jette takes pleasure from ridding the seas of evil and oppressive people who threaten what she regards to be a rightful, neutral balance. Personal freedom for herself and her family is Jette's single most important life purpose, she is driven to paint over her sickly past with the blood of those who have wronged anyone like her and her Jackals. She acts in the name of all slaves out there. She willingly punishes those who, in her eyes, are parasites. Because of her past horrors, she is constantly haunted by the memories of what she had seen and been through. She succumbs to her rage every time she slaughters a new enemy, and in the splendour of this moment she is most susceptible to falling over to a dark, twisted frame of mind. With every new experience she threatens the very balance within herself that keeps her from killing everything around her, friend or foe. Strengths... Being educated by the finest teachers in Ekytol gifted Jette with an eloquent tongue and mannerism. All of her siblings were schooled in their very home, a palace of a place in Yahebah of the Ekytol desert. From playing the violin to debating politics, Jette was trained to be a suitable wife and scholar before she was snatched away by slavers. She had lived an extremely cultured yet sheltered life; a life that really only prepared her for having a husband, bearing children, and acquiring knowledge. Her body was untrained and her survival experience next to nothing; totally naive to the darkness that crept behind every corner. Where I went wrong... [[UNDER CONSTRUCTION]] When the pain of bad decisions became too much to bear, Jette fled her lavish home and stumbled her way onto a slave ship disguised as a merchant vessel. Where I ended up... After being thrust into the role of a slave, a completely opposite place to be from where she originated, everything Jette had accumulated in the past had come to a halt. She embarked on a transformation out of being the sweet, seductive and musician to becoming the ruthless and revengeful pirate killer. Jette didn't know then that slavers had taken her to profit themselves, she didn't know what pirates were capable of. She was only a young girl. Like many of the other girls she often shared cages with, Jette was put to work scrubbing decks and pots, fetching food, and pleasuring the crew. And if they were really unlucky; the worst of them all, the Captain, would call them into his cabin. He frequently requested multiple girls, those of which wouldn't return for many moons if at all. Jette wasn't ready for her life on the slave ship, no one would have been. Long nights were spent rocking back and forth in petrification after spending time with the pirates at their drinking tables and in their beds. It wasn't unusual to be tossed around like a rag doll for countless bells before eventually discarded into a filthy cell and left to sit in the dark. Desensitization eventually set in, for the agony of constant abuse painted the slave girls’ innards with sticky black oil. They soon became numb to the horrors of their slave life. Out of the grim conditions of the 52 seasons after her capture, Jette met three girls who became her allies, not only because they connected out of fear of a mutual enemy, but because they were the only girls who hadn't been separated - either by fluke or destiny. The girls could avoid being touched or hurt if they kept out of sight during the times the slavers were more interested in fighting each other than in the girls. Shouts and laughs would eventually die down as the crew would drink themselves into a slumber. That's where it all began - their revenge, birthed from the bitter hate and disgust for the pirates. Their whispered wishes turned into ideas and plans for escape, or mutiny. After escaping enslavement by banding the slave girls together and committing mutiny, Jette and her companion Pythe scoured the shore of Northern Sylira for a cave to rest their weary bones. Jette and Pythe became close like family, traveling the surrounding area, bartering the gems they stole from the ship for clothes, meals, and shelter. Where I'm going... [[UNDER CONSTRUCTION]] |
