Talen waited as Marx' weighed his concerns against each other on whatever scale his conscience held it's council. It was most likely meticulously measured and put into order, and he remained calm even though it was rarely pleasant standing on the brink of one future or another. He had always had faith in his superiors, and it was easy with a man such as Marx. Suddenly he spoke again, and Talen looked a little surprised for a moment. He remembered well enough the various lessons he had received, the choice that the children had to make and what they had to learn. His own had been made before he even met at the Academy, of course. It was his heritage, but that did not mean that he couldn't help others find their own way, even if it were another than what he excelled at. He nodded with a determined smile, eyes matching the lieutenant glance with equal focus. He would do as he was bid and learn what he needed to, and rise to the challenge like a true Denvali. "Yes sir."
