24th day of Fall, 511 AV
Miro had long since been tired with Kinneas' asocial attitude lately. He had not spent any time with his friend in too long and that would have to change. Miro craved his attention desperately. If Kinneas would pay mind to his achievements then there we other ways to get attention. One can ignore a friend who has a busy social life quite easily. But when somebody terrorizes you on a daily basis turning a blind eye is none too easy. Miro had been steaming up ideas on how this would be achieved. Kinneas didn't even know how much stronger Miro had grown, or how much more devious. He had been brewing in a vengeful lust for attention. He had sometimes even dreamed of setting fire to draw attention. It was all a bit too much for him to take action on. For now that was. Kinneas would get one more chance to give attention to him, but no longer would he wait for him to approach. Today he would approach and 'ask' for him to spend the day with him. Being with a person day after day one would find themselves rather attached. If Kinneas their friendship suddenly severed it would be by Miro's knife slicing it apart.
Miro took a hand to his eyes, wiping the morning from them slowly. He sat up and tilted his head to each side snapping out the kinks. Letting out a yawn he walked over to where his clothes rested and began to dress himself. There was still the ache of the morning in his bones, but that soon too would fade away. He picked up the bracelet and scowled down at it. "Damn thing...I don't even like it. But..still, I will don this as a mark of determination. Together we will find her and end it for good." He let out a sigh and secured it to his left wrist. It had an eerie feel to it. Though it had grown cold from the floor, that was not what bother him. Almost like it had been tainted with the sight of death, the bracelet shared in Miro's pain. Miro finished up in his room and sought out his friend now. Kinneas wasn't in his room, nor in either of the common areas. Perhaps he was outside? Miro peeked out into the courtyard. He saw his friend sitting solemnly in its center. Quietly Miro tried to approach him, but before he could even begin to move close he felt Kinneas watching him. "Hey sorry to bother you Kinneas. I think today is a nice day to go out. Perhaps we could go to the colosseum. I am going to fight today, and, well...I am feeling like taking a risk. Perhaps I will fight some lions today. You can feel free to watch...oh, unless...no. You wouldn't want to fight with me would you?" Miro turned away to hide the grin that was forming on his face. He bowed his head as if he was disappointed and waited for Kinneas to respond. Deception always had consequences of some sort. Sometimes it was successful, but other times they were less than favorable. The dice had been rolled, the risk taken. Would his gamble end in triumph?
