40th day of Fall, 511 AV
"No more reimancy practice. No more flux training. It is all too risky. Today I am putting it all away for something much overdue." Miro walked over to his bookcase and took each one of the small books in arm. Though he would view them as magnificent tomes, they were little more than a quick read. 'Basics' that was the key term. They would give him little more than an introduction. A quick guide through the process and a helpful example or process. He had taken a look through morphing. It seemed to be a magic based on stealing foreign forms and applying them to your body. Ever since his brief introduction he had been playing with an idea over constantly. Some nights even having dreams. The example in the book was that of a monkey with a long sleek tail. The idea of having a tail excited him. He imagined being able to play with it and even wondered how it moved around. Miro had never had a chance to find one or view one, but he had learned of them before. They were nimble and acrobatic, able to move through trees with ease. It was certain the key was in their body. Their figures were very slim with long graceful arms. They would be light on their feet with just the right amount of muscle to be able to jump and run at high speeds. Miro could relate. He had long arms and was naturally light. He had a bit of practice with being nimble, but he knew that he was nowhere near ready to move like a monkey. The tail though, it had to be the key. It could work like a third hand to assist climbing, or possibly help run. Whatever it was that made the animal so fast, Miro would find it and learn it.
Miro Grabbed his things and moved them to his bed. It was a good start, but he had more he wanted to practice with and learn about. Miro reached down under his bed to pull out his most prized treasure. The staff was plain enough, but he knew the power it held. He placed it up on the bed next to the books. In his wardrobe he eyed his robe. It was heavy and he had grown fond of it. Training wit it brought the risks of ripping it, it would have to stay put today. He took Griever which was hanging on his shelf and tossed him on the bed too. His scrolls that laid tucked away in his scrollcases were next, along with a bit of inscribing paint. That too was added to the collection on the bed. He looked down at his collection of items. There was a sword, a staff, several books, scrolls in cases. A quick trip with his arms full and he reached the courtyard. He had a lot of work to do and even if he stayed out until the beginning of the next morning, the training would be a success.
