Timestamp: 3rd Day of Fall, 511 A.V., Evening Purpose: The Ladies, duh. The dark sky settled over the enchanting city of Lhavit like a thick velvet blanket. Stars glittered high above, their gleaming lights casting a surreal glow across the sky unlike anything Sterling had ever seen before. Kilo, his Strider, had been placed in the city’s stable for the time being. He hoped that those overseeing it would take good care of his companion; he was his pride and joy, nothing less, and there would be trouble if he wasn’t kept up to Sterling’s standards. One foot in front of the other, he made his way deeper into the city, curious, and yet cautious as to what the city might hold in store for him. It seemed a safe enough place, contrary to the wild Sea of Grass. It was a big change, but one that he welcomed with open arms. Below, his stomach growled with the anticipation of a meal. Unsure of the currency requirements for the city of Lhavit as well as the whereabouts for a good plate of food, he reached down into his pocket and unwrapped a piece of dried meat. The remainder of his provisions had been left in his saddle bags with Kilo. It seemed it would be too much trouble to wander around with his heavy back leeched onto his shoulders. Best get a good layout of the city before tiring himself out. Sterling chuckled to himself. Silly, it had slipped his mind up until that very moment. It was the sixty-sixth day of the Fall season! How could he forget? His twenty-fifth birthday had completely risen with the day, and was nearly past. Surely there was something around the city that he could do to celebrate. Some sort of tavern, perhaps, or… A scantily clad woman with shimmering skin and horns similar to a ram passed by, giving him a sort of glare. Had he been staring? Most likely. It wasn’t every day that one saw such a paranormal beauty walking past in the street… Hips swaying… Hair tumbling down her back… Lovely violet eyes… He sighed. Where the petch was he going? |
