Evening, 76th of Fall, 511av
Antar traveled back towards camp wearily from a hard days worth of work, after training Nil a little in the art of using a kukri , throwing knives, and hatchets earlier that morning. He was tired , to be sure, but strapped to his saddle were three of the largest rabbits he had managed to find in the fields so far. In fact he'd really only tracked one to its burrow before sharpening a rabbit stick. With the stick in hand he had reached inside the little rabbit nest and had stuck each rabbit in time to bring it's wriggling body out to crush it's head with a rock.
It was one way to get an easy meal, but the sounds of more rabbits in the burrow prompted him to try two more times with equal success. Thinking that was enough for now, he mounted his horse and returned to camp to start the daily chore of building the fire for dinner. As it began to take light, the rogue added more sticks and twigs as needed before building it up to consume a variety of logs he had cut to length in his spare time.
Soon enough the pleasant warmth coming from the white hot coals was enough to help cook dinner, and he brought Ellise out of her cage to enjoy the time spent as well. Looking around, he wondered where Nil and the rest had gone off to...
