Fall 80 511
Almech was compelled to leave Alvadas, heading toward Avanthal, where he'd heard there were many of his kind were. He was interested to see this new city and what it would bring, what he would learn from it. His stay in Alvadas was nice but he didn't feel like he really belonged, he'd broken his first friend ever's nose, and cracked his arm. He not only felt bad about this, but, more and more people were moving into Avain manor making him feel out of place. He traveled the lands of Kalea with a quickness, he was familiar with this region, more than the others. He remembered travelling in several different regions with his clan before they were slaughtered in front of him. So he ran, he ran and he ran, anxious to see this city, Avanthal. He'd now travelled far enough from Alvadas that he could see the gaping maul in the horizon "Goodbye Miro, i hope to see you again someday" he thought to himself.
It was then he noticed his stomach growling, he needed to find something to eat, he sniffed at the air, nothing. He sniffed around the ground as he walked, he picked up the scent of something, smelled edible enough. He thought of what his father taught him, looking around examining every detail of his surrounding landscape, looking for signs of a creature passing by. It was then he realized, after so long, that the smell was, wolves, this worried him. If it was an average size pack he was done for but he also thought he wouldn't be worthy prey as he was large, but not large enough to feed an average sized pack. In the distance he heard it, twigs breaking, bushes rustling even though the wind was too calm, he thought the worst for himself, he blinked a few times thinking these were his last moments.
Before long, they appeared, much to his relief, he may have a way out of this, it was a pair of wolves. This was accurate to the scent he picked up after taking into account his father's ambush then kill shot strategy. There was atleast 1 more wolf in hiding, atleast so he thought up until he heard something coming from behind him. He turned just in time to see a grey colored wolf pounce at him "Ah i see, the distraction strategy" he said outloud. He bucked up on his hind legs, dodging the wolf's attempt at grabbing the back of his neck, he knew if he wasn't quick he could be dead soon. The other wolves were running towards him now, he had a few precious moments to do what needed to be done, he needed to kill this wolf or it was all over for sure. He took off from a standstill using every ounce of strength he could muster, tackling the wolf who'd just attacked him, a few moments rolling on the ground and Almech had torn out the canine's throat.
The other two came at him, blood dripping from his chin Almech showed his teeth, growling and snarling. It had some effect, also the fact that he'd just killed their leader with relative ease, this was only because of the rapid strength he'd displayed, had he attacked normally he wouldn't have pulled it off. They played the same game Almech had seen the other wolves do in his clan, one was pouncing to attack high, the other stayed on the ground to attack low. Almech was just a dog to them, they didn't know he used to be in a pack himself, he knew the strategies, and that would be his salvation. He hopped to the side dodging the pounce and when the low attacker reach where Almech would've been, Almech tackled him with the same ferocity as the first. They rolled around for a moment and when Almech heard the pouncing wolf get closer he jumped up and got back in his defensive position, showing his teeth and snarling.
He'd gotten the one good, he managed to bite into it's leg as hard as he could, and like with the Akalak he'd fought during his slavery, he let his teeth tear away from it's leg as he jumped back. The pouncing wolf ran towards Almech and tried to pounce again, Almech stood on his hind legs and caught him mid pounce. The two scratched and snapped their teeth, trying to bite onto whatever they could, barking and snarling, the other wolf licked it's wound, whimpering. Almech "boxed" with his opponent, not allowing it to sink it's teeth anywhere, it jumped back, readying it'self to tackle Almech again. It was a standoff, one wolf seemed to have given up as it limped away bleeding from one of it's front legs. Almech continued, trying to intimidate his opponent, it was a fearsome sight to behold, finally, when the wolf realized the other was gone, it took off running. Apparently it was smart enough to realize if it continued it would die, simple as that, Almech was bigger, stronger, and downright more fierce than any wolf this one had ever seen.
So Almech sat down, licking the blood from his lips, staring at the dead body of the wolf who attempted to sneak attack him. His stomach started to growl "I'm so hungry" he stared at the carcass should he really eat this wolf? Normally he wouldn't dare even think of eating another canine, but he was seriously considering it. The day was almost gone, would make for easier hunting, but, there was a meal right in front of him "What should i do?" he wondered to himself. He pouted and whimpered as he approached the wolf's body, he sniffed at it, it smell good, it's blood tasted good, but it was another canine, it was paramount to cannibalism. His stomach growled and Almech whimpered in an even higher pitch now as he took his first bite, depressed that he was defeated by his own greedy stomach.
