Seamus Okibbon - A brawler with a dark past. Race: Human Age: 22 Gender: Male Standing Approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, Seamus has pale skin, a shoulder length mass of shaggy black hair, and dark, almost black eyes. Seamus has a wide, ragged scar which starts at his shoulder and twists along his arm towards his hand, where it ends in the severed stumps of his ring and pinky finger. This scar never healed perfectly, and is constantly irritated and reddened with infection. Seamus is muscular in a stringy, scrawny way, and has hardened callouses on his feet and hands from five years travelling on the open road. He sports a ragged beard which he keeps trimmed quite short. Character Concept and History: Seamus has a dark, blood stained past. His mother died in childbirth, his father from the plague when Seamus was only a child of 12, and he was left in the care of his 3 older brothers. They were his lifeblood, and the only family he knew, teaching him how to survive on the harsh city streets of Syliras. They worked many odd jobs, one day smelting iron in a foundry, the next day hiring themselves as fighting mercenaries, but in all cases they followed a code: "Love your brother; honor your father; remember your family." Seamus' brothers were murdered by a mysterious group of masked men when Seamus was 17, sparing his life but mangling his arm with a rusted dagger. Seamus was destroyed by this bloodshed, and vowed to revenge his fallen brothers. He has spent the last 5 years searching the world for trace of his targets, to no avail. Over these 5 years he has developed a nasty drinking habit. Seamus is a brawler, and a good one. He knows how to use his fists, and does (more than is for his own good). Drinking alcohol seems to enhance his fighting skills; he claims it loosens his muscles and allows him to "break teeth without remorse". Seamus is not very outgoing, preferring to keep to himself. Although, with a few drinks in him, he tends to get into trouble too easily and more often than not ends up kicked out of the bar, into the gutter. The one creature in the world he truly cares about is his horse, Ruby, and even she had to save his life before he could place his trust and love in her. They hang on four chains around his neck, and he talks to them as if his brothers can hear. They weigh heavy, and have left his neck calloused from their swinging and chafing. Weapons Knuckleduster - Spiked leather strap worn across Seamus' knuckles, which make his punches more deadlier. Keeps it in his pocket for quick access. Wears it across his left knuckles, as two fingers on his right hand have been severed. Assassin's Dagger - A broad bladed dagger which Seamus purchased upon his return to Syliras. Sheathed on Seamus' right side, for he has become left handed since two fingers on his right hand were severed. Leaves gaping wounds more difficult to mend than those left by a regular dagger. She was fully saddled when she came to him, and blood stained, indicating that her rider had been slain. Seamus was not interested in riding, preferring to walk across country, but Ruby followed him and would not leave him alone, until he scared her away by pelting her with rocks. Half a day later, he was assailed by a small group of bandits, and nearly killed. Ruby, still following at a distance, came to him and he rode her, half dead, to the nearest town where he recieved healing. This was the begining of their strong bond and friendship. Ruby is a light gray color with black legs and mane. Lore: Knowledge of Syliras streets - Seamus grew up with his brothers in the streets of Syliras, losing their home when their father died 10 years ago. Knowledge of Cyphrus Strider - Seamus has spent 3 years as the rider and companion of Ruby the Cyphrus Strider.
