Samael Friedlander (In progress)

Postby Samael Friedlander on November 29th, 2011, 12:30 am

Name: Samael Friedlander

Race: Human, Svefra

Gender: Male

Age: 24

Physical Description:

Samael is a rather thin man, however he is very fit. He stands just under 6 feet and weighs 176 lbs. He has very long and unkept black hair, adorned with beads and the like, and a goatee with a fu-manchu style mustache. He has a somewhat excessive amount of body hair for a svefra. Overall he could be considered good looking, depending on who you ask.

Character Concept:

“And the winds shall scream my name.”

Although he is a svefra, he is somewhat of an outcast, and this comes out in conversation. He is lighthearted when in the company of others, but brooding when he believes he's alone. He has little reservations about engaging in illegal activities, but refuses to take part in slavery of any kind. He fancies himself a dashing rogue and has a fascination with swashbuckling. Like all svefra his heart belongs to sea, even though traveling it means running into his "kin". He is a womanizer, heavy drinker and a chain smoker, all of which he likes to think add to his “charm”, although to others his habits seem off putting. Samael is bitter about the recent events in his life, and strives for greatness. He wants the power to change the world and is prepared to do what it takes to achieve it.

Character history:

He had a rather standard sfevran upbringing, although he always had rebellious personality and preferred the company of tavan, uulong to the other children. One day he took part in a raid on a pirate ship, a standard practice. He was searching the ship for anyone hiding out with a group of 10 when they found 3 small children, they were apparently going to be sold into slavery but the other svefra had taken to a mob mentality and were not going to listen to the please of someone who they considered to be pirate scum. Samael managed to keep a leveled head and attempted to intervene, it quickly turned to violence and he struck down a young man. The children were thrown to the tavan but Samael managed to escape by ship with Uulong, and intended to stay far away from svefras for as long as he could. Since then he took to working with criminals of all sorts to get by.

Moderator Note:

Welcome to Mizahar, Samael!

Oooh, I love Svefra's! But I did notice you didn't choose any of the options avalible to you for housing. Normally, you can start out with a house in whatever city your PC is from, turn in that house for 500 gm or, for Svfra only, get a boat instead.

Svefra characters have a third option for a starting package available to them. Rather than a home or tent/horse package, they can indeed start with a small casinor and its equipment. Ships don't automatically come with a mounted harpoon. Harpoons for casinors cost 50 GM extra and can fire 160 feet. Bolts cost 1 GM for a bundle of 10 bolts. These are equivalent to a heavy crossbow mounted to the bow.

If you choose to have neither a boat or a house, then in your ledger you need to add +500 gm (Housing cash-in) so that anyone looking at your CS will know :) However, I can't really see a rogue seaman sailing the blue waters on a raft ;)

If you have any other questions, feel free to send me a PM. Let me know what you decide to do and I'll remove this intervention from your CS :)
