[The Rearing Stallion]Noon to Night[Open]

Romen handed the barmaid a couple of silver mizas then turned back to Gabrielle. ”You’re welcome, I’m not one to judge based on who you are or where you come from. “ he said when she thanked him for the drink. He took a sip of his ale. Romen was glad when she changed the subject. Romen raised his eyebrows and leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table in front of him.

”Surprise you…. “ he murmured. ”Well, this’ll be a bit shocking but you’ll be glad to hear that I’m single” he said jokingly, before returning to think of something to actually tell her. Romen wasn’t generally a very open person, so telling people about himself didn’t come naturally to him.

”Hmm… Well I’m learning Reimancy at the moment if that counts” he said, not entirely sure what Gabrielle wanted to hear but he wanted to keep up this conversation without deception for once. It felt good knowing that everything she knew about him was more or less true, but not good enough to stop him lying to get what he wanted in the future. ”I’m not very good at it yet, but I’m getting there.” he continued from earlier with a grin.

Vida glared at him from where she sat, as if she could understand what they were talking about. That was probably because earlier in the week Romen had accidently set her dinner on fire while he was practicing and while she didn’t get hurt, she’d had a pretty long night trying to catch herself another meal. Vida didn’t hold grudges, she just gave off subtle hints that she was still blaming him for what happened.

[The Rearing Stallion]Noon to Night[Open]

Gabrielle couldn't help but chuckle. This man was such a flirt. She said dryly and with much sarcasm, but with a smile on her face. "Yes, that is very shocking, for a man like you."

Reimancy. She didn't have personal knowledge about it, though she had seen a few others practice it. It was a skill that she didn't understand, and so she couldn't help but ask him about it. "Reimancy, that's having control over the elements or so, am I right? What exactly do you control... and how?"

She saw that Vida seemed to be giving her master a nasty glare. Smiling to herself and not knowing about what exactly happened, the Svefra reached forward and pat the dog's head lightly, trying her best to comfort him. Then she took huge gulps of her ale until the bottom was clear. She placed the mug back down on the table with a thud, a practice that she and most of her pod members did during parties. Her formalities seemed to be lost at that moment, and she was acting right at home.

"Well, Romen, I should be going in a while,” she told him with a smile. Despite the weather, her cheeks were flushed red due to the mug she had just emptied. “The city gets colder by the night, and no way am I going to be caught out there when the moon comes out.”

Romen grinned at Gabrielle. "I can control fire... How is a bit hard to explain." he answered her. Before he knew the girl had finished her ale and was getting up to leave. "It was nice meeting you, Gabrielle" he said and turned back to his own ale.

He drank the last of it quickly, as what she had said was true. He didn't want to be caught when the night was coldest either and the rain seemed to have calmed compared to earlier, going by the lack of tapping sounds from the roof of the tavern. He got up and patted the side of his leg for Vida to follow.

The barmaid came and took their empty mugs. Romen walked across the tavern and took his coat from the rack he had left it on earlier. He put it on and opened the door with a creak. He and Vida stepped into the cold evening and started walking down the laneway, back to their home.

The young Svefra watched the retreating backs of the man and his dog. She had a smile on her face. That had been an vague conversation, but interesting in itself. She wondered if she would ever meet him again, though she hoped that it wouldn't be for the pouch that was hidden in her palm. After he had paid the barmaid, he had left his pouch of coins out in the open, and had not seen Gabrielle swipe it away.

As soon as he was gone, Gabrielle got up and wrapped her cloak tighter around her. She took a peek at his money, and saw that he had much more than she expected. Grinning to herself, she put it in one of her pockets and made for the door.

OOCPouch swiped with permission! :) No need to account for loss, it will be taken back soon.

Romen: please remember that when you're roleplaying, you're IN character. There are no 'British' accents in Mizahar, so don't mention it in that way in future. There's no such thing as a British accent anyway, since an English accent is very different to a Welsh and so on, but that's beside the point. That aside, great thread from both of you. I liked Romen's cheeky chat, and Gabrielle's shock stealing at the end surprised me. I won't make you account for the coin purse, so long as that gets resolved in a future thread - if you have ANY questions or concerns about this grading, don't hesitate to PM me.
