Wontcha Be My Neighbor?[Jaeden/Hex]

The Wilderness of Cyphrus is an endless sea of tall grass that rolls just like the oceans themselves. Geysers kiss the sky with their steamy breath, and mysterious craters create microworlds all their own. But above all danger lives here in the tall grass in the form of fierce wild creatures; elegant serpents that swim through the land like whales through the ocean and fierce packs of glassbeaks that hunt in packs which are only kept at bay by fires. Traverse it carefully, with a guide if possible, for those that venture alone endanger themselves in countless ways.

"Hex," Jaeden said with a slight tilt of the head. "A bewitching name to match the beauty."

His gaze then followed Hex's movements as she approached. Leaning in slightly when she licked her thumb and reached up to wipe away the dirt on his cheek, a sharp smirk crossed his features to her answer of sleeping in the tent, as well as her comment to his sleep attire. "It would please me much," Jaeden replied simply before almost leaning in too much as he took a sudden stumble forward as Hex knelt down and began working on prepping the kindling for the fire.

Maintaining his balance, Jaeden took a couple of steps back to his pack, slipping his ax back into it before his hand was dipped into a small pouch at his belt. Pulling out his flint and steel, he stepped over to the pit. With a slight amount of pressure, and a quick slide, sparks flew onto the kindling, causing embers to glow and smolder. Lowering his head, Jaeden blew along those embers for a short moment, feeding them air that caused them to grow hotter, until the flash of a flame appeared and began to spread. Jaeden slowly stood up, giving a subtle nod and smile as the fire began to grow larger.

Then it happened. Jaeden's gaze caught that tiny drop first as it fell into her hand. His mouth gaped open slightly as intense concentration slowly took over his mind as he watched Hex apply the oil. The pupil of his eye darted up and down and side to side, following the movements of her hands as they traveled over the course of her body. A quick intake of breath was taken as she flipped the end of her skirt up, and began applying the oil to her upper and inner thighs. Jaeden's inner pervert began beating it's chest like a gorilla as a slight grunt escaped Jaeden's mouth.

His gaze then followed her hands up as she began working the oil over her stomach and hips, his eyes crossing at one point as each pupil tried to follow a hand on their own. His leering then continued as her hands went further up, his head felt like it was about to explode as the pervert within screamed, "Pop out!!" when Hex worked the oil over her chest. As she was finishing with her arms, Jaeden's eyes then just traveled over her entire form to appreciate the subtle work of art that had been crafted right before his eyes. The fire's light danced seductively as it reflected off her skin, and Jaeden could swear he saw the flames reflection forming finger that beckoned him forward. "Shiny," Jaeden said as his head tilted slightly.

Hex's voice began echoing in his ears as she began speaking. Still in a leering state, Jaeden simply muttered, "What?"

His head suddenly snapped strait up as his gaze rose quickly to meet Hex's own as he suddenly said with more clarity, "What? Oh yeah, I have some tracking and hunting skills. I think I can follow whatever laid those tracks to where it would have gone so long as a rain doesn't come in and wash them away. They're depth and spacing suggest their speed to be slow as you said, and weight, so they likely don't travel to far in one day either."

Jaeden then made his way around the fire, slipping his flint and steel back into it's belt pouch as he sat himself next to Hex. "A hunt sounds like fun," Jaeden then said in a soft tone of voice as he leaned in close, one hand slipping up as the tips of his index and middle finger brushed the hair along her side away from her neck. There was a slow inhale as he tried to catch the scent of the oil, but only found it to be scentless in the long run. Such didn't dissuade him though as the inhale was released just as slowly, his breath brushing along the skin of her neck as his fingers slid lightly under her long strands of dark hair, brushing the skin along the back of her neck. His lips tickled lightly along her skin where the back of her jaw line and bottom of her ear lobe before he whispered, "It sounds like fun indeed."

ImagePupils dilated, skin broke into sheets of perspiration, and pleasure coiled tightly in the pit of Hex's stomach; her hypersensitivity to touch was electrifying her every thought. Flashes of erotic imagery clouded her mind as the tickle of Jaeden's lips on her neck stirred her insides like a storm over the ocean. Unprepared for how to respond to his advances let alone her own emotions, she drew away from him enough to pull him up to face her. His wide shoulders shielded her from the breeze that pushed through their camp site, shifting the pheromone scents that had built up between them.

ImageJaeden's salty musk clung to Hex's fingers as she grazed their tips along his skin, first beginning with his clothed thighs and then up to the skin above his belt on his torso. She marveled over the smooth flesh and taut muscles that scored his body, he was truly carved by the hand of a god. Without saying a word Hex slithered into a crouch behind him and dropped all inhibition as she explored his upper body with her hands, feeling the heat that burned against her fingertips as she rubbed the large bulges of muscle on his shoulders. A shiver split the air between them as Hex pushed her fingers into the base of his hairline at the back of his neck. From there she lightly pulled her fingertips along the skin, spreading her fingers to reach the different angles as she massaged his trapezoid muscles that connected his neck to his arms. In a continuous downward motion she pulled her thumbs to kneading them in waves down his back. Before long, her curiosity won as she bent her head to nuzzle her face in the crook of his neck, taking in his musky scent. Her watering mouth finally tasted his flesh as she flicked her tongue against his skin, lifting the oils that had settled there through out his travels. She could taste where he had been, smelling the rain and wind and dirt that fell upon him from another land. Her hand rose through the back of his hair and gripped what little of it was available, guiding his head to lean to the side so that she could smooth her lips over his skin, passing her teeth over the delicate tissue that yielded to her.

In an exchange of electricity, her hands made their way around his chest from under his arms, passively running her nails along his mid section and hips. Fingers crawled downwards along his body and pulled at the top of his tightened pants as she pressed her mouth against his ear, whispering for him to undress her. In an instant she spun him around and grasped his face between her hands, pressing her lips against his all in one motion. With a hand bracing herself and the other on the belt of his pants, she pulled him towards her as she backed towards the tent, folding her tongue over his and breathing heavily between her moans and gasps.

Hex's body became a fissure of heat, roiling like lava under a volcanic pressure. Aching in anticipation, she arched her back against Jaeden, distracting him from pushing her inside the tent. Together they eventually made their way into the tent, stopping several times to use both hands to appreciate the others' physique and once inside, the two were an entanglement of bodies, growling and groaning despite the attention it might have attracted. Hex guided Jaeden's hands as she encouraged him to pin her in place against the floor of the tent and she lay splayed on the bedroll they had been flung into the middle of the small space; they certainly wouldn't be sleeping on separate sides that night. It had been far too long since she had enjoyed the company of a male, and she was going to take advantage of every second.

61rst Day of Spring, 510 AV

His eyes slowly fluttered opened as Jaeden's body felt a little soar, but in a good way, as he took that first deep breath slowly upon waking. His gaze slowly traveled downward as he saw that deeper shade of skin along Hex's hand, as he rested lightly along his chest. His head slowly turned along his pillow as he laid there a moment, gazing over Hex's sleeping face as she used his arm and shoulder as a pillow of her own, her entire body pressed up lightly along his and one of her legs crossed lightly over his. The arm she laid her head along felt somewhat numb, but not enough that he couldn't raise it, bringing his hand up to rest along her shoulder as his free had then reached over to brush some hair away from her face.

Her eyes slowly began to open as she was met with an appreciative smile along Jaeden's face as his hand rested lightly along the side of her face, making sure that her hair wouldn't block his path as he slid forward, lightly kissing her lips. "Good morning," he said in a soft tone as he laid his head back down along the pillow. "I was surprised to find how flexible you were last night. I remember you mentioning you wanted to go on a hunt though?"

Daybreak breached the slit in the tent entrance and a wind tickled at the tent flaps, urging them open. The canvas walls of the tent were increasingly becoming illuminated as the sun rose, peaking over the horizon like a tree reaching for the sky. Outside, the fire that was left unattended lay burning off the last embers as it slowly fizzled in the morning light. Familiar sounds of birds chirping and insects singing hugged the air, sending a reliable message to the area that no predators were near. Silence was a precursor to death in the grasslands, you didn't dare sit still to see if it would cease.

Hex awoke with her arm folded under her and the rest of her body limply dangling over the giant form of Jaeden. She was considerably smaller than him but it had only been a factor in their excitement rather than any kind of intimidation; he could crush her easily but he was gentle, a tantalizing paradox. Hair in a mess and sprawled across the tent Hex rolled onto her back as he regarded her, softly kissing her lips, of which she didn't respond past an acknowledged grunt through her morning mental fog. Her arm flopped across her eyes and she yawned into the faint breeze that slipped through the tent and onto her face. "Hunting." She echoed his words passively, still rising out of her unconscious state of sleep as she shifted into a seated position, noting all of the sore spots that wretched at her muscles."Before we hunt I'm going to go running, I can't move being so sore, I need to warm up". She slipped into the bone breastplate with ease, she had done it a thousand times already and was good at dressing quickly to avoid being caught off guard. Wiggling into the skirt, she secured the belt around her hips to make sure it fit snug so that she could be free to move as needed.

Bursting open the tent flaps with both arms, Hex emerged starling in the sun as it greeted her at dawn. Warmth crept into the chilled atmosphere, beckoning small flowers to open and grass to tighten in the wind. The lambent rays of the sun licked the earth, stimulating the growth and activity that ensued between blades of grass. Small birds and rodents dotted the landscape and the dry smell of sun baked stones permeated the spot where she stood, toes coated in the sandy dirt of the campsite.

"Ready to start tracking a juicy beast?" Hex called out to Jaeden behind her. They'd analyze the prints near the tent and follow the pattern of crushed and bruised grass blades and displaced soil. Fluids from the body that released scents were especially useful for tracking, as long as it was recurring and not washed away by the rain, the trail was easy to follow. Almost ten yards from their camp lay a pile of dung and by reading and learning the aura of its aroma, Hex could memorize the energetic signature and search for similar scents as they followed the trail. Time was of the essence and if they had allowed the midday sun and the wind to find the footprints and scents left behind, they wouldn't have been able to follow the trail with as much accuracy. No, break of dawn when everything was unmoving and still was the best time to seek and kill.

Re: Wontcha Be My Neighbor?[Jaeden/Hex]

Postby Jaeden Kincade on March 23rd, 2010, 9:08 pm

Jaeden slowly stepped out of the tent, his pants hanging gingerly around his waist as he stretched his arms outwardly at first and then up towards the air as he gazed around the area for a short time. His form reached over, snatching his shirt from his pack nearby as he began slipping it over his frame before tucking it in and zipping up his pants.

Fiddling with his belt buckle for a moment, he secured his pants firmly now, as there was nothing worse than having to run from a beast with your pants down around your ankles, giving those little hops of three feet or more as something with big teeth and sharp pointy things looked to chase you down. Jaeden then reached down, snatching his leather armor from the ground as his slipped one arm through the open hole along the side as it fell down around his body. He began fastening buckles along the other side as he looked over at Hex, smiling slightly when she asked him if he was ready. "Sure I'm ready, and I've got something at my waist to poke at those juicy bits with," Jaeden said as he strapped his longsword to his belt.

Jaeden then grabbed his composite longbow that had been strapped to the back of his pack as he pulled it free and began stringing the bow. Finally, Jaeden grabbed at the quiver of arrows, lacing them along the other side of his waist as he slowly rolled his head around before rolling his shoulders before finally slipping on the pack itself. He once again looked back to Hex giving a smirk and nod of the head. "Alright, ready," Jaeden said as he began rooting through the grass, looking over the tracks as he soon checked the first one he came across. He gave a quick gaze towards the sun, then began sifting his fingers around the track itself as he checked it's freshness. The grass had been bent down, but was already slowly beginning to right itself, despite the weight of the animal having pushed it a half inch into the ground. He then stood up strait once again. "With the depth and spacing of the track, the beast is slow moving, having passed by here about a few bells ago."

Jaeden then began moving through the grass, following the tracks as he looked back to Hex. "If it keeps this pace, we can catch up to it likely catch up to it within a couple of bells I think," Jaeden then estimated as his fingers fell to the feathers of one of his arrows, lightly stroking it's ends as it tickled the skin along his fingertips.

Re: Wontcha Be My Neighbor?[Jaeden/Hex]

Postby Hex on March 25th, 2010, 3:11 am

Raising an out stretched hand to the air, Hex read the atmosphere with her senses tingling through her fingertips, searching through the stimulating signals that were swept towards them on the downward wind. Being Chaktawe had its benefits for tracking; it allowed one to open all the senses and narrow in on a single target no matter where or how far it moved. Like a quivering trail of smoke a stench of hoofed beast wafted off into the distance, leading Hex to it as it weaved through the brush and grass. Relaxing her senses made the visual aid of a trail dissolve into the landscape with a pop as she made her way in its direction.

Keep moving she thought, quickening her pace to keep up with Jaeden's long strides. With feet trained by the searing conditions of the desert, the mystic was ready to endure the jagged rocks, sharp grasses, and abrasive sands of Cyphrus that sculpted her skin. Experiencing the new wilderness of the sea of grass was a challenging transition for Hex; she entered the region with only knowledge of how to survive in her homeland Ekytol. Colder temperatures in north western Cyphrus were at first a shock when she arrived just east of Riverfall in the winter season. Blustery winds caged her in tunnels and caves discovered in her travels, where she retreated and nearly starved to death from the inability to hunt during storms. Since then, she gained considerable experience preserving meats and collecting herbs, grains, and nuts that could be stored without spoiling.

Half a bell passed as they scanned their path for more evidence of the creature's passage and interactions. If it led them to a grouping of similar species, isolating one of them would be difficult; but if they could catch up just in time before it met its herd, they would eat well for many nights. Mentally passing the thoughts of meat aside in her head, Hex focused more clearly on the situation when she crouched by a small patch of grazed grass. "Definitely a grass eater" Hex announced, flicking the bruised tips of short grass that stood in a circle around her. A plethora of hoof prints dotted the area, indicating the beast's length to be, well - longer than her, but not longer than Jaeden. Judging by the even angle of the hoof prints together, no sign of an injury or limp could be seen. This was a good and bad sign - the creature wasn't diseased but it was healthy enough to give them a good fight.

After a bell and a half of searching, analyzing, following, and scanning, it was imperative that they engage the beast sooner than their pace was allowing them. "We're close Jaeden but time is running out, we don't want to carry it through the high sky sun" she pointed towards the climbing sun. "Try to keep up Jaeden" Hex mused lustily with a stroke of her hand across his chest before taking off at a reasonable jog. It wasn't a race, they would need to reserve their energy for the fight.

Re: Wontcha Be My Neighbor?[Jaeden/Hex]

Postby Jaeden Kincade on March 25th, 2010, 3:45 am

Jaeden gave a tilted glance and wry smirk as Hex quipped for him to keep up, her hand gliding across his chest. "Oh, you saucy minx," Jaeden said as he stood up from the tracks he examined, and began his jog, keeping pace with Hex.

The tracks were getting more fresh the further they traveled, and the beast was large. Not quite as big as those he had seen in the Northern Reach, but large enough that it would likely take more than one well placed arrow to bring it down, and that was if Jaeden could shoot strait enough to consider the shot well placed. Jaeden's thoughts were pleasantly distracted from a struggle with a strong beast however, as his gaze fell to Hex's rear in motion. That, he could track all day, and have fun doing it.

His eyes widened however, as that jiggle of funness came to a sudden halt as he ran sturdily into Hex from behind, falling down on top of her. "Damn, sorry," Jaeden said quickly, "I gotta stop doing that."

Jaeden then paused as Hex's fingers went to his lips and she looked strait forward. Jaeden's gaze rose with her own seeing in the short distance a large beast. It stood close to five feet off the ground and eight feet in length while standing on all four of it's massive legs. Sturdy hooves beat along the ground as it stirred away any small creatures that might strike from the thick grass before it bent it's massive head down to tear away a mouth full of grass, two large horns resting at the center of it's muzzle, just behind it's nose. A thick coat of brown fur covered it's hide as a long tail with a busy end whipped back and forth along it's body to keep away the insects that pestered it. Long, tunnel like, ears slowly moved around, facing various directions as it listened for signs of predators while taking a short moment to eat.

Beast :

Jaeden suddenly looked down as he felt Hex beginning to squirm beneath him, he body wriggling forward to get a better look at the beast itself. She then paused, looking slowly back up at Jaeden with a questioning look on her face when she felt a bulge of sorts begin to press against the mid of her back. "Well," Jaeden said in a hushed wisper, "what do you expect. You're a sexy woman and you're causing.......... friction."

Re: Wontcha Be My Neighbor?[Jaeden/Hex]

Postby Hex on March 25th, 2010, 5:13 am

The beast was predictable, it grazed a radius around itself and then traveled until it defecated and got hungry again. The pair had trekked the distance of what seemed like flat land. The most mysterious part of Cyphrus was how the grasses hid the depth of hills and anomalies in the land; all would deceptively appear to be flat vast expanses of grassed plains. As they approached the top of a low hill, Hex slowed down and attempted to read the beast's location when Jaeden crashed into her, making them tumble down into the grass with a muffled thud and crackling of grass that bent under their weight. Hex cupped her hand over her mouth to stop the surprised shout that nearly flung out to alert the beast of their where a-bouts. Laying in the grass was fun when you weren't hunting an aggressive animal yielding a big pointy spike to gut you with.

Despite his clumsy disposition, Jaeden was forthcoming and direct, even if he didn't mean to fall on top of her, it happened almost naturally. He was drawn to such events with the opposite sex, and it amused Hex to see how comfortable he was living his fate out willingly. A twist and stretch maneuvered Hex into a position to look up at Jaeden but when she tiled her head she caught the face of a far away horn, floating in the sea of grass like a beacon of auburn bone. Face locked and eyes active she snaked her left hand up his chest and neck to his jaw where she gripped his lips closed with two fingers to hush his adorable but distracting voice in her ear. Like a keen predator on her prey, Hex wiggled forward and repositioned her neck and shoulders to get a better look at the beast with her eyes. Stout and solid, the creature was familiar to Hex but bared no name in her knowledge. She had seen them fight each other, crashing their massive horns against the others in the fight for dominance.

It was only a matter of time before Hex was stopped in her thoughts by the object that pressed into her back, making her look up at him with question; her mouth opened and her brow furrowed in an expression of surprised lust when met with an answer. Prying her mind from the sultry event between their bodies was the only way they would be able take down the beast, they couldn't just roll around in the grasses making love all day - they'd surely starve. No, they'd hunt it down together as a team and share the spoils, and then they'd spend their time rolling around in the grass making love. It was undeniably-almost-definitely fool proof.

The fight was one obstacle and a relatively simple one. The real challenge was going to be skinning the beast for its hide, cutting away as much meat as possible, and then transporting it back to their campsite. Water would also need to be located, and although the grasslands were dry there were numerous streams and rivers that flowed on the surface as well as ones that led into the ground towards underground lakes big and small. Cyphrus was only a treacherous place for those who did not learn to find and utilize the resources of its environment.

Laying a hand on Jaeden's bow she caught his eye and then pressed the side of her face against his to whisper to him, "Can you aim for the heart or the brain? If you can immobilize it, I think I can slit its throat". Her hand closed around the garrote wire with wood handles that she had tucked in a tiny pouch on the strap around her outer thigh. She flipped up onto her toes silently in a crouch. "It can't see me if I approach it from the back, stay here. When you shoot it, I'll jump onto its back and cut its throat." The mission was insane, her actions could have serious consequences, but she didn't seem to blink an eye at the thought; somehow she believed that living in romantic adventure was a better way to live, even if it meant dying a sudden and tragic death.

Re: Wontcha Be My Neighbor?[Jaeden/Hex]

Postby Jaeden Kincade on March 25th, 2010, 7:46 pm

Jaeden squinted his eyes, looking past the slender grass tips as he examined the beast for a long moment, contemplating a shot before he began rubbing his fingers together. He gave a slight shrug, slipping his pack from his shoulders before pulling his sword from his belt and handing it to Hex. "Better take this," Jaeden then suggested. "I only have normal arrows on me. Even if I aim for the heart or brain, there's no guarantee that the arrows will make it all the way through that thing's skin."

Jaeden then looked to Hex. "In the event you can't get to it's back, you'll want something you can get deep penetration with," Jaeden said holding out his sword to Hex. "Just make sure you stay out of the line of fire. I'd hate for a stray arrow to accidentally hit you."

Jaeden then kept low, as he slowly licked his finger, testing the current of air currently pacing itself around them. Slowly reaching over to his quiver, he withdrew an arrow from his quiver, notching it into his bow. Keeping low, he slowly began moving around the beast, getting a more clear shot toward's the beast. The only way an arrow would be able to pierce the beast's brain would be a shot through it's eye, and Jaeden didn't feel himself nearly skilled enough to pull off that shot. So he elected to go for a shot to it's heart. He would have to shoot the arrow's through the ribs. It was still a difficult shot, but not as hard as a shot to the creature's head, and even if he missed the heart, there was still good chance that it would pierce it's lungs.

Jaeden stopped, dropping to one knee as he raised his bow, aiming it towards the beast as he slowly drew back the string. His breathing slowed as his eyes narrowed, bringing the creature into focus as the grass that surrounded him blurred in his vision. The muscles along his arms tightened as he held his draw, occasionally glancing over to observe Hex and when she was ready on her end to jump. Jaeden would have to draw fast, aim quick and release if the first shot didn't do the trick.

Re: Wontcha Be My Neighbor?[Jaeden/Hex]

Postby Hex on March 25th, 2010, 8:26 pm

An incredulous look splayed across Hex's face when she saw the sword Jaeden absent-mindedly suggested she use. Any search for the skill to wield such a cumbersome weapon would have been futile, and any search to find sense in the suggestion was comical. Hex would have to get close to the beast's neck to penetrate anything deep; she rolled the hunting knife hilt in her palm, spinning it as she considered where on the horned beast she could plunge the sharp metal spear. If she successfully mounted the humped back, she could clamber to its shoulders and drive the blade into the back of its skull, severing the spine from the head. But what if the thing could rear its head back, could she be impaled by the towering horn that protruded from its snout? Or if it tossed her from its back forward onto the horn? This is no time for those thoughts, she shook herself out of the fluttering that built in her heart.

Hunched over on all fours, Hex pawed her way through the grass, the stalks separating around her like an ocean of kelp that floated past the bodies of silky sea mammals. The knife stayed snug in its sheath as she would need both hands to climb up the back of the hairy grass eater. Getting into position was a steady flow of silence as Hex slowly inhaled and exhaled, slowing her heart rate down to to quiet its hammering in her ribcage. Muscles fell from their tenseness and uncoiled her rigid posture. It was a matter of avoid her limbs from locking up - she had to relax enough to gain maximum agility; she could overpower the animal easily but it would have to be one swift motion. When in position behind the great beast Hex rose up slightly on her crouched legs and threw both arms straight into the air - signaling Jaeden to release his arrow.
