Corvus Daylighter
(Note: As I wasn't sure exactly how the Character sheet was supposed to be filled out, I found it easier to put together Corvus in paragraph explanations combining the required fields listed rather than creating separate paragraphs for each section. If you want me to change it I can easily rearrange it so that it is in list form and easier to figure out, I just found this easier to write. I also kept the changeable things, such as the ledger and equipment list, near the bottom in a sort-of list form so they could be easily updated. This I can also change if need be. :) )

Corvus Daylighter is a small, slight, very feminine Kelvic girl with the state of a raven and the state of a human being. Corvus, in her human form, typically lets her lengthy hair fall where it may in its sleek fashion, though becomes thoroughly frustrated when rain and humidity bring her tame, manageable locks to a frenzy of wild curls possessing a separate consciousness, inhibiting her vision and making it extremely difficult for her to navigate. She has eyes the colour of spring grass with unusually large pupils, often considered either frightening or endearing, a deep brow and a particularly straight nose framing them. Because of the varied reactions she receives to her eyes, she often feels the need to hide them, unless she’s had too much drink. Her spine stands particularly straight, causing her to look a bit masculine from behind. Her curves, however, make up for the small bit of masculinity she possesses. Her fingers are long and slender, mirroring the rest of her body, and her feet are small and quick. She cannot stand in one place for very long, but feels no desire to. She typically dresses in light fabric trousers, leather boots, a loose shirt and a woolen, hooded travelling cloak. Her raven form is equally small and she is often seen by larger raptors as easy prey, therefore finding difficulty remaining in her animal form for extended periods of time.
Corvus’ transformations are usually voluntary, but are occasionally triggered when she reaches a state of emotional distress or turmoil; this is a common occurrence. Her inability to control her emotional status often sends her into a state of excessive rage, excitement, or depression. Accompanying these frequent inhibitors is also a very frequent state of fear to the point of paranoia, her senses always sharp and in search for the nearest threat and, more importantly, the nearest exit strategy. Her need to be wanted and adored when she is in a social situation can send her into one of her emotional poles, leaving her with either an unwanted transformation or her unbearable desire to escape. These situations are why Corvus prefers travelling on her own as opposed to group travel, and her behaviour can often leave her homeless as her embarrassment caused by her behaviour brings her to the point of leaving her place of residence and only returning when passing through to get to a new location. She takes an interest in entrancing men with large egos, seeing them as a challenge and considering catching their interest as a sign of love, affection, and achieving dominance over a relationship, though to a man she may simply be a beautiful night. Above all things she fears water, finding it completely unpredictable and inescapable, though it is a natural partner with the wind, the element she feels the greatest affinity to. However, she finds earth to be comforting when she is in lower places – its strength is matched by wind. Fire is something she has little interest in and often attempts to avoid using it directly, as it plays tricks with her mind. In her most fearful or manic states she hallucinates, hearing voices that aren’t there or seeing her worst nightmares come alive. Her childhood imaginary friends morph into something terrifying and intent on destruction and harm. An effective tool to combat her anxieties is adrenaline, which is why she is a very promising fighter – she’s had a significant amount of practice. Her judgment while fighting is often clouded by her emotions and she sustains injuries from her opponents, which are rarely humans, on a regular basis. While she enjoys combat, Corvus despises the idea of war and conflict and the concept of kings and lords using armies to die for their conflicts while they hide behind stone walls and thousands of soldiers. Corvus does not encourage men to entertain themselves with the idea of love or marriage with her, feeling it an unnecessary situation burdening her with the obligation to birth children facing potential emotional plights and feeling inadequate in the world as they would be constantly caught between two separate universes; the animal kingdom and the human world. She believes children should be cared for to the utmost extent, but that she should sacrifice her own desires to protect others from her own fate.
Corvus Daylighter was born in Wind Reach in early spring of 492 AV. Her mother was a highly skilled falconer living amongst the Inarta, her alter being a barn owl. Her father’s alter was a mountain lion, and being as naturally talented as he was in stalking prey, he became an assassin for various people of distinction, earning gold and eventually marrying and buying property. He had an owlery built near his home so his wife could entertain her personal delights, and soon Corvus was born. Besides her alter being yet another bird, the only resemblance she bore to her mother was her vivid green eyes. While her mother was tall, mouse-haired and fairly robust and womanly in her curves, for the better part of her childhood Corvus was extremely small, contrasting in darks and lights with her pale skin and pitch black hair, and almost dangerously slender. Likewise, her personality also differed and related to her father more than her mother. While Corvus’ mother was calm, patient, and careful, Corvus herself was whimsical, daring and extremely unpredictable, proving to be an excessively difficult child to parent. When Corvus was eight years old, her mother was wrought with a terrible sickness during the winter that took her life. Her father then spiraled into a dangerous depression in which he could not escape. Taking Corvus and a few precious mementos with him, he burned their home and the owlery and set off for more populated lands, seeking to gain another profession that occupied his time and to forget his love for Corvus’ mother. They would camp in various places, and he would teach her basic skills for survival. Once while she and her father were camping near a small village near Denval, Corvus was playing too close to the fire and tripped, falling into the coals and severely burning her hands and elbows. Her father then drilled her daily with the names of various common herbs found throughout Kalea that were good for healing and preventing infection in wounds until he was confident she’d memorized them all and could easily prepare them, though he never revealed more than a basic list. They briefly made home in Denval, where Corvus’ father fell into his old line of work. At the age of thirteen she was orphaned, as he had grown old and his reflexes were not as sharp as they were when he was younger, and a stray knife felled him, thrown by a spy of his target. Without parents to guide her, Corvus set out on her own, travelling from town to town and gaining an almost animalistic feel to her. Her ears and nose became extremely sensitive and her awareness heightened slightly beyond common folk. During her travels she’d create fables in her mind and make money in taverns by telling them to the drunken men within them. On her fifteenth birthday she lost her virginity to a much older man after he’d bought her far too many drinks for the tales she told. The next morning she awoke to an empty bed, scrubbed herself until most of her skin was pink and raw, then set off with the intent of never coming within a hundred miles of the tavern again. At the age of sixteen, she continues to travel on her whims and remains aimless, seeking not marriage nor family, but a purpose to her life. She lives primarily in Lhavit, finding peace with its magical inhabitants and seeking knowledge of the magical arts, though she cannot practice them herself.
