Nai'shee Nai'shee's theme: Ocean soul by Nightwish Basic
Physical Description Nai'shee is not short, yet not too tall for her age (somewhere between 68 and 69 inches). She weights around 130lbs. She is pretty developed and muscular. Her body is really flexible since she is active whole day, she is able to stand any weather due to her long experience with living in streets. Yet, every weather in Zeltiva is different than the rest of the world. She never saw real snow storm and similar things. She is able not to move for a very long time, because life have taught her that her life might depend on it. She is strong, extremely strong for a young girl. You will often find her running around instead of walking, because she's too bored to spend time on getting to somewhere. Her hair is blond, but it slowly goes brown as she grows, so it has dirty color in the winter, when it lacks sun. She usually keeps it short, to the shoulders mostly. Her eyes are blue, like a ocean. Both of her arms are scarred all the way to the elbow because of heavy burns she suffered in fight with Reimancer. This made scars she gained during her Reimancy initiation almost unnoticeable, so it isn't as obvious as usually to unexperienced eye that she practices that discipline of magic. The girl will always bring her little knife, used only for defense, in it's scabbard fixated to her belt and her finger razors on her left hand's middle finger, unless stated otherwise. Those two weapons are hardly noticeable, especially the second one, so unless your character checks for weaponry she won't find them. She will also leave the longsword home, unless stated otherwise. Character Concept Nai'shee isn't usual person to be found in Zeltiva, even around Mizahar. She is generally cheerful and confident. She sometimes appears to be shy, because lack of empathy and communication in her earliest days made it hard to read peoples she just met, but she won't ever show it, except in some small gestures. Her skills are, however, improving extremely, since she is so open person and she talks to strangers all the times, so by this time, you won't even notice this (but watch out in flashbacks). She is curious and she will approach anybody she considers interesting or worthy in any way without hesitation. Her natural curiosity is the same for any skills. She doesn't classify skills she is able to learn as 'interesting' and 'uninteresting', she considers them 'useful' and 'not useful'. She usually thinks anything might happen to be useful in life and she is willing to learn, she is extremely passionate at the beginning, while she is still a novice. Her biggest dream is to become a well-known sailor or even a pirate one day and she tries her hardest to impress some sailor or Svefra and get invited to sail with them. She won't hesitate to lie, too, it's her personal way of having fun. She doesn't make huge affairs or even little misunderstandings, she only lies to strangers, thinking incredible stories about her being a daughter of Nykan tradesman or member of a lost Svefra pod. Her lies usually don't last too much if she gets closer with person, but she learned to tell information that she is a thief very carefully. During The Djed Storm 512AV Nai'shee developed few phobias. She was locked up with Trente below University, in Labs and attacked by awful Djed spiders. She usually wouldn't be afraid of such a thing, but "evil" Djed woke disturbance in her and dozens of dark spiders seemed terrifying. She got bad case of arachnophobia from there, especially if huge spiders are in question. Note that she have never met any Symenestra just yet. She also developed some mixture of achluophobia and claustrophobia, being afraid of dark underground rooms or caves. More info in the plotnotes. Character History Nai'shee can barely remember her real family at all. She referred to her parents as 'mom' and 'dad', so she doesn't even know their names and she called her elder brother 'Andie', which was probably some sort of nickname. Her real name isn't Nai'shee, it's just bad way she pronounced her real name. Her parents left her in Zeltiva when she was one year old and to this day she didn't know why. There might have been some kind of accident or they might just left her, she didn't care. She have long forgotten her real family because she was adopted by a beggar in Zeltiva. His name was Lohan and he was pretty old, maybe even in his late fifties. He raised her and provided her as much as he could. He never allowed her to beg herself, he claimed that he'll take care of her. He sacrificed everything for her. He wasn't somebody who knew much, his only ability was Flux, magic known to generations of his family. She didn't thought about it much back then, but he was most likely from some old warrior or royal family and he was probably abandoned, like her. He died when she was eight, from starvation. She buried him with her own hands. After that, with no skill or any way to impress some family enough to accept her she was forced to become a thief. At first she was silly and clumsy, but she became an expert at escaping. After she got enough skills to actually do the service she stopped stealing from citizens too much, because it wouldn't be too pleasant to be abandoned by the city too or imprisoned. From the early childhood she haven't communicated with kids much. She was cheerful person and talked to everybody, but elders always had nice word for her while kids laughed at her. Some citizens really stayed away from her because she was dirty, poor, unworthy, but some understood and made her company. As long as she remembered her dream was to become a sailor. She was taught few skills, from unnamed people, but she never had a money for a boat, not to talk about ship, and she doubted she could survive in cruel waves by herself. And nobody wanted a child on a boat. Later, they didn't want young human female, without any talent or outstanding skill, except, of course, few sailors even she avoided. Not so long ago (Fall, 511AV), she went to search for some food in the forests around the city. She picked some leftover fruits, almost destroyed by weather and headed back for the city. On her surprise she found a corpse laying in the middle of the road. Man was pretty well suited, but he was obviously stabbed to death. She got afraid, panicked, wanted to run away, but she couldn't. She knew she was fated to die if she reported this. Little, poor girl, beggar's child, without anything to eat and anywhere to sleep. Who would believe her that she didn't kill this man? Slowly, holding her breath, she approached to lake of blood. Man had leather bag full of money. She robbed the corpse. She took all the money man had and hid the body in bushes, along with blood trails. It was probably the most awful thing she done in her life. Considering the situation, the fact that man was rich, yet not robbed, convinced her that he was probably some politician or something similar somebody wanted to get rid of. He might even be a gambler who forgot to pay his debts. She never found out. She promised herself to make something of her life with the money she stole. However, she will never forget dirt her future life will hold. Post-creation Character History Winter, 511AV :
Winter was long season for Nai'shee. It was also the season she made one of greatest decisions in her life up until then: to start studying at University that semester. She wanted to make progress at her Flux and also sailing and navigation. While working she stole Mathew's bay island map some suspicious sailor asked for, but in the end she never delivered it. She decided to try and sail to that island by herself and explore. On 6th after collapsing due to Djed loss she woke up in forest and that's when she met friendly wolf, which is actually Kelvic named Lyam. She never met him in his human form and it will take a while for Nai'shee to realize that her future bondmate is her friend in both forms, actually until Lyam decides to surprise her. She also attended her first Winter Ball. She met Trente, Faylon, Idue and Stri and also saw huge battle between Faylon and thief who stole fragment of Black Obelisk which will appear later and Rak'kei giving her Gnosis mark to Elem Bree (while, actually, she saw only light she knew what happened).
