511 AV Summer, 33
Reluctantly he rose with the sun, as he had grown accustomed to in his travels. And against his most optimistic intentions he found himself fed and clothed before the mid-morning chimes. He had intended on spending days in bed after he arrived in Avanthal, just soaking in the warmth of a real bed, and taking as many warm baths as possible. But, alas, Avanthal had infected him with the worst of all afflictions: Intrigue.
He couldn't just leave the giant city alone outside the Warrnen walls. He had to see it, and feel it. Take it all in. And most importantly, he had to talk to somebody! An entire season spent with less than a handful of people at any given time had left him more than just lonely. He needed people to survive, he had never been one to just keep to himself. The solitude of fighting death in the tundras and mountains every day was too much for him! Which iwas exactly why he had formed a new plan for the day! Explore the Whitevine Healing Center.
The polite steward of the Warrens found the kindness and time to offer Oluse a rudimentary explanation of the Center, and armed with that he trotted along toward the building, intent on seeing the inside and hoped that he could find a job for himself. He didn't need much, he would be happy if he could just break even on money. Though, in all truth he knew that if he could just continue his study in medicine and herbalism he would be content with even paying them for the lessons, and an opportunity to help out!
As the fragrance of the center filled his lungs again he felt a smile creep onto his face, pushing the fatigue he felt aside, replacing it with bliss. Calming himself, reminding his eager heart to be polite he approached the door slowly, and hefted it open carefully, savoring the pungent assault on his senses as he did so. He didn't know what kind of food they had made for breakfast, but the smell was everywhere, and he couldn't get enough! He made a mental note to ask the cooks for the recipe later on if he got the chance, as he entered the room, closing the door to keep it warm, and looked about for somebody who might be able to help him.
