physical description.
>body. Shapiksoa’s youthful body is of radiance and tender beauty. Her copper-hued skin is weathered by the harsh desert life she has had, her glossy, jet hair and eyelashes match with solid black eyes devoid of whites or any relieving colour. As a young Chaktawe not yet a woman by the standards of her people, her delicate beauty is that of a promising one. Her body is slender and yet she weighs more than one would expect at first. Sinewy muscles run along her frame and long legs curl into a slim abdomen. Shapiksoa’s long fingers are dotted with small black pores and are sensitive to the movements around her for a receptive gel fills these pores. Shapiksoa’s eyes have a dual set of eyelids to protect her from the irritating sand and her toes are webbed with strong pads beneath her feet to keep her from sinking into the sand.
>clothes. Shapiksoa’s clothing reflects the values of her people. She wears a simple bodice with chords running up the sides and something of a shift to cover her legs slitted up the side over her undergarments. Over this she may wear a type of cloak of feathers sewn over goat skin. The feathers are a mixture of what one would find from desert crows and vultures. Shapiksoa is also into the habit of painting a black band of paint across her face to deflect sunlight from her eyes. The paint also smears along her shoulders and sometimes her hands and legs to protect them from the sunlight.

>personality. Shapiksoa is a Chaktawe of curiousity, bravery, and light-heartedness. She understands the value of unity for life in such an inhospitable place and strives to bring to her people joy. Serious folk are seen as a bore for her and anger is not something she feels often at all. Shapiksoa is the type of Chaktawe to play a friendly prank on Benshira goat-herds so her brothers can safely capture the goats they desire from their grounds in the Redstone formations. Shapiksoa is usually with a smile on her face or laughter creasing her eyes. She was nicknamed “Shapiksoa the Laughing” for her tradition of finding something to be optimistic about in everyday life.
>religion. Shapiksoa is a girl of the desert. She was raised to love Makutsi, goddess of water, and Eywaat, the god of crows. She is a deeply spiritual young woman and anxiously awaits the time to search for her guardian in the desert.
>morals. Loyal to her people and brave, Shapiksoa is one who would help a thirsty traveler gladly, no matter what. She wouldn’t dream of hurting someone and doesn’t even hunt desert animals. She is more driven for peace and survival than anything else but she will never turn against her own people to defend an outsider.
>likes. Shapiksoa is in love with the desert. Even in the harsh land she finds something to smile about in the crawl of a red scorpion, the howl of a golden wolf, and the pink flower of a lonely cactus. When Shapiksoa likes something or someone she doesn’t easily lose those feelings.

history.
>pre-creation. Shapiksoa was born as the youngest of triplets, a feat that chose to claim the life of her mother. She was raised by her father and assorted relatives, mainly aunts and her grandmother, while her brothers found support in uncles and distant cousins. In her childhood Shapiksoa viewed the world with wonder, rising at sunrise to watch the sun paint the dark world with hues of red and orange and standing alone during sunset to admire the violets as the sun faded away. As a child she showed a mirth not often seen among the noble Chaktawe. She brought a smile to the faces of others with her childish wonder at the simplest of things. A smile became a common sight on her face and the tribe knew that when she failed to smile, she was upset about something that truly bothered her. She demonstrated a careful wariness of things unencountered before and a bright joy at discovering something new and friendly. She is yet a child among her people still and currently awaits the day she can Search and become a woman.

Her eyes have a dual set of eyelids to protect them from sand, coupled with her long eyelashes. Within her body is an organ that stores water long enough to last her for ten days and when full it places fifteen extra pounds on her slight frame, making her heavier than originally thought. Her feat have thick pads on the bottom and webbing between the toes to keep her from sinking and her fingertips are dotted with freckle-like pores to detect movement, usually used to find running water in the sandy world.
