Phobias anybody?

I have been told I have extremely weird and irrational fears. I am scared to death of squirrels and butterflies.

Hmm... well, when I was younger I got stung by bees and wasps and hornets and such... ALL THE TIME. It got to where I'd see one and I'd run screaming for like half a mile while jumping up and down and swatting at everything around me. Even now, if anything that can sting gets near me I run like a sissy. Which is odd, because being stung itself doesn't bother me that much.

Some people think I am afraid of needles because I refuse to give blood. It's not that.. I just refuse to freely give my blood to.the vampires. I've seen blade, I know vampires control all the blood banks! If they want my blood they'll have to come get it the old fashion way... And preferably make me one of them so I can gain their super powers.

And that is my real reason for not donating blood. I refuse to freely give the vampires my blood, even though I don't actually believe in them. >.<

Or maybe its because I don't like the idea of my blood swimming around in somebody else's veins. It's my blood! Plus I'm pretty sure it would be pissed that I got rid of it, take over the host body and transform it into an angry Ron clone bent on vengeance... And I really just don't have the time to deal with that right now.

But i don't fear needles. I get shots and crap all the time. I just don't like sharing or giving blood to vampires for free.

I think I've been having a serious case of driving anxiety after my last car crash. I refuse to drive anywhere now, I'm probably going to get this checked before it goes overboard. Right now I live in San Francisco and I can just ride my bike anywhere, but any time I think about driving I get some serious anxiety.

I don't really have any real phobias. Other than, I guess, expecting some hand to come out of the dark and choke me to death.

Getting anything near or into my eyes. I've worn glasses for this long (over 20 years now >.<) because I refuse to get contacts. If anyone remembers that one episode in Friends where they had to hold Rachel down just to put eyedrops on her - it's like that for me. That trailer of one horror/suspense movie where the girl's having laser eye surgery totally freaked me out.

Also, porcelain dolls. I refuse to look at pictures of Sami's dolls because of that. They're just plain creepy. Like bugs. And needles. And overly touchy male acquaintances. Creepy.

I have only two real fears or phobias that trouble me from day to day. I don't know the technical term for them but one is fear of failure. I hate to fail and will actively avoid situations that I see could set me up for failure.

I also have a huge fear of abandonment. If I were to wake up and be all alone, none of my family members around, can't contact them, etc. Close friends gone, etc. I really would not know what to do in that situation.

I have an irrational fear of what I can't see. Not a fear of darkness, cuz darkness is soothing for me. But when I'm alone, and it's dark, and it's quiet, I always feel like there's a monster about to get me. No joke.
