The Kelvic was assaulted by a variety of new faces and smells as he rounded a corner. His attention was first captured by the Man of Rage and Fear, his heavy breathing and clinking armor now familiar to Yuros, and when the man's unsteady pace sent him sailing into the snow the smell of blood caused Yuros' ears to flick forward in surprise. Leaning forward a bit, Yuros sniffed the air but found only slight traces of the metallic scent, and so dismissed it as a minor injury.
With Banir accounted for the Stag's attention was drawn next to the Jamoura, and his hair bristled slightly for he thought it might have been the one from before. After a quick inspection, however, Yuros discovered that it was another of the Keepers of the Forest. Sniffing, Yuros found this ones smell to be a bit more pleasant, suffused with more of an earthen allure instead of sweat and exertion. Slowly his agitated muscles relaxed once more and the Kelvic straighted back to his full height, his eyes still on Zy, This one is different... But still no threat to the Huntress.
Then Yuros caught the sent of the one he had been searching for. His great head adorned by a crown of ivory turned toward Alea as she trotted up on a new beast. Snorting in derision Yuros stepped forward, the colt following in his wake as he neared the Huntress and bowed his head slightly so that he was on eye level with her, though with her height on the horse he did not have to bend to far. His eyes burned with the untamed ferocity of the forest, but with a single touch from the girl those intense eyes faded to still ponds of affection. Blowing out a stream of air, Yuros pushed his nose into Alea's touch, eyes half closed as he enjoyed the the contact. Sniffing the air he could smell the Huntress' heightened emotions, her adrenaline and worry mixing into a sharp sent that caused the Kelvic to look around at the surroundings suspiciously.
It was then that the Kelvic caught the sent of a beast of Fang and Claw, and his great head turned to examine the new comer and his strange companion. His muscles tense, Yuros tosses his head and stamps his hoof, but the gesture was lost as the wolf soon turned to depart. Calming once more the Kelvic turned back to Alea, taking comfort in her voice and in her glances toward him.
Then, a new sent wafted in the air, a sent that sent Yuros' agitated nerves into a frenzy as wave after wave of memories flooded him, There is a Hunter here!? Huffing and stamping his hooves hard enough to cause the ground to tremble, Yuros whipped his antlered head about, tossing those ivory points this way and that as he searched the horizon for the source of the scent, There is blood in the air, a fresh kill...
His agitation increased as the scent seemed to be coming closer, and his nervous feelings spread to the colt behind him. It too began to fidget and trot in place and Yuros grunted and moved closer to Alea. Then, a shape appeared approaching the group, and from it the scent was resonating. Now that it was closer the Kelvic could smell a hint of mint, as if it had tried to cover the scent of its latest meal, but the metallic smell was almost overpowering to the nose of a beast used to fearing his own mortality.
As Blizzard approached Yuros reaed high, tossing his great head in a threat, slamming his front hooves hard on the ground so that it shook, maybe unbalancing someone not prepared. Lowering his head the Kelvic stepped forward between Alea and the Snow Leopard, huffing and stamping his hooves in an obvious threat. Yuros towered over the other Kelvic, and his agitation and ferocity was enough to quiet many a beast in the Spire.
