After a time, Aello managed to straighten herself out. She stared at the monster, at Eryss, who now found himself on the other side of the mote. Great... she thought, as she rolled her eyes and reached for another arrow, swiftly, lacing it onto the string, before raising it to take aim. She closed her left eye again, as she inched the string back, and guided the arrow's point over the back of the yukman's neck. The string creaked, and soon, grew taut. Aello knew it was time, now that the monster was distracted, practically beating his own chest. Within a moment, Aello released the string, sending the arrow forth. Flying only a short distance until it met its mark, and slid halfway through his flesh. The creature shrieked as blood squirted away. As he slowly crumbled, sending the other yukman into a series of screeches as they looked about and then stepped away. Looked about again, an then retreated entirely. As soon as the body fell, Aello's body sagged too. She raised her hand, and wiped the sweat from her brow, before easing herself forward, and gathering her things. Leaping lazily over the mote, and touching down on the other side. "Are you alright Eryss... only Dira knows how you wound up here. Do you need a hand, or are you in no mood to get up? Tired from that fight... same as I?" There was a pause, as Aello looked up, wondering if they'd come back, or if they really were, safe. She extended her hand then, holding it out for him, as she peered down her nose at the lesser mage. Well, lesser as far as she was concerned, after all, he was the one who had wound up outside the defensive ring. "In the mood for a good, long nap, and perhaps, something to eat?" Aello smirked. She was in no mood to play nice, or housewife, so if he were in the mood, he'd be in for a rude awakening. |
