Tall Johnny's was one of the gems of Sunberth, even if their exteriors were mostly unappealing. It was one of Kreig's most frequent hangouts, either to just sit and listen to various conversations that occur in such establishments or to enjoy one of his most favorite past-times, which was Fighting. The feeling of living beings trading blows with each other was something that gave a wave of pleasure to Kreig, to him it meant being alive. The Cage at Tall Johnny's was nearly as sacred as Dira, the goddess of death of whom Kreig was devoted follower.
Kreig himself was standing in the the middle of the Cage 'Such a thing of beauty' Looking around, he took in the familiar site of the Cage and all the people watching from above, waiting for Kreig's opponent to step foot in the cage so they can begin the betting or see some blood spilled, whichever came first. Already he felt an euphoria, the prospect of battle and it being seen by so many gave a delightful tingle to him. He just wished he had his gauntlets, but he did agree to bare arms fight. Only his fists and legs would help him in this situation ' And what fun shall it be'
After a few moments, cheers emanated from the stands as Kreig's opponent entered the Cage , he could see it would as he wished. His foe was a Drykas that stood at exactly as 6 feet, his hair dark long, going past his shoulders and tied in a knot,the former uncommon amongst the Drykas . He was shirtless and his body covered with intricate tattoos the Drykas were known for, indicating he was a rider. He only wore an interesting pair of shorts the reached to his knee's 'Must be brave to wear such a thing in this weather' the shirtless factor was easily understood , wouldn't want to get unnecessary blood. The shorts he assumed was to give him more mobility.
Soon the ringmaster, at least that is what Kreig likes to refer them as, approached and spoke "Alright lads, both of you been here many times before. No weapons and no killing if you can help it. This is a bare-fist fight so just bruise each other up, eh?' Kreig and the Drykas nodded to the ringmaster, then to each other "Well get to fighting already, no ones paying you to stand there being pretty, we pay you to get ugly" Kreig chuckled at the comment. Suddenly he was met by swift punch to face, loosening his teeth a bit as he slowly looked at the Drykas, who had his fists raised and a small smirk across his face "Sneaky little twit, aren't you?" He grinned as he rubbed his cheek and then spat out a bit of blood. The Drykas only responded with hand motion to come closer.
Comply, Kreig got closer and threw a punch with his left hand, only to have it stopped by the Drykas who raised his right and immediately punched with his left, striking Kreig in the face yet again and followed it up with a one two combo, causing him to stagger back once the Drykas was done. Kreig's face was bruised as a result and seemingly dazed as well. However once the Drykas got closer to finish the job , his right fist was caught as he threw it, catching the Drykas by surprise as he was suddenly headbutted by Kreig.
'So....FUN!!' Kreig said as he spat out more blood, his swollen face giving off a wide grin as he Drykas staggered back in a daze as he grasped his forehead, blood seeping from it. Kreig knew this was a chance to return the favor from the beat-down he received. Quickly he grabbed the Drykas by the hair, raising his head as Kreig threw a series of hard punches with his free hand, quickly giving the Drykas the same bruised features he had given Kreig, this was cut short however as the Drykas suddenly retaliated with a knee strike at Kreig's abdomen, causing him to let go as he grasped his stomach and fell to the ground, his wind taken out of him.
The Drykas fell to ground himself, still quite in a daze and even more from the strikes he received. The crowd cheered at the spilling of blood, their screams of enjoyment filling the hall as both fighters stood up, slowly but surely. Both now had an equal set of bruises adorning their faces ' I think I'm in love' he grinned as he raised his fists once more, the Drykas doing the same. The Drykas quickly moved forward again as he threw a series of punches, Kreig raised up his guard in order to block them but after a few punches he received a sudden blow to the side, Cringing in pain, Kreig Grabbed the Drykas by the shoulders and retaliated with another headbutt , Dazing the Drykas once more as well as himself. Add the pain to his sides and it proved to be an interesting combination, Kreig knew he couldn't keep taking hits any longer from the mans swift strikes. Boxing may have evolved from Brawling, but in some aspects it was different .
As both regained their composure, Kreig quickly tackled the Drykas to the ground and raised himself up to release a series of punches at his opponents face, its becoming quite the makeover. Finally when he was done, Kreig stood up , a satisfied grin on his face as he raised his hands victorious while the Ringmaster approached the fallen Drykas and called for a stretcher, the Drykas unconscious but no doubt needed medical attention "Alright, you win, now get out of here" Said the ringmaster. Complying , Kreig left the cage as he was cheered on by the people, collecting his payment as he left Tall Johnny's 'This was a good day
