Considered one of the most mysterious cities in Mizahar, Alvadas is called The City of Illusions. It is the home of Ionu and the notorious Inverted. This city sits on one of the main crossroads through The Region of Kalea.

Land, it could often make a Svefra who had spent most of her life on the Suvan Sea (especially that of the Northern end) nervous. Okay so this Svefra mix blood wasn’t like most of the other Svefrans so the statement was more likely that a Svefra like Aleka grew nervous when on land for more than a few moments.
However the girl had heard about the Akeldama Colosseum in Alvadas and well Aleka loved a good and very bloody fight. Some in her pod said it was just cause Aleka was weird, others whispered it was because of her father’s blood… the Myrian that was visible in her hair among other things. And so Aleka had found herself within the walls (even if there weren’t actual walls around her, she still felt them) of Alvadas.
She had sold off some extra fish she had caught not too far from the Alvadas coastline, and now with the mizas in her pocket she headed toward the Colosseum in hopes she would be able to get in to see one of the death matches. When Aleka arrived she noticed the sign with the prices and looked down into the pouch that held her money, should she go for the single golden mizas or go ahead with the five mizas seating?
Oh who was she kidding she wanted to be up front with the action and so handed the man at the gate the five mizas that was required to be so close. The young Svefra and Myrian mixed woman then headed inside, selecting a good location toward the South end of the arena, and got ready for the action. Though she had to admit that a part of her wondered what it might be like to fight in such a location instead of just being an audience member. |

Alvadas was a coastal city. During the winter it was warmer than most cities. During the summer however, it could become rather sweltering. Add the already heat filled air with vigorous movement and the already hot day could become nearly unbearable. For those that were native to the city, or at least to a similar climate, the heat could be as pleasant as it was uncomfortable.
Kale was one such example of the latter. He loved the heat. He loved how it made his skin glisten with a shining coat of sweat. He loved how his skin burned when he ceased movement. Had it not been for the love he had of the climate he would have finished the fight he was in long before that moment in time.
A flash of steel was his only warning as he ducked under the slash of a longsword. His opponent was a young man about the same age as he was. Their ages might have been similar but their battle prowess was far from similar. Kale was a veteran of many gladiatorial battles. Even before he had come to Alvadas he had been the victory of many hard won battles in another arena.
In his earlier years Kale had detested fighting. It was something he had been forced to do by his former master. Yet when he had finally freed himself from his master he had found that he knew how to do little else. As he continued to fight for himself, and not others, he had gradually come to enjoy a battle. He enjoyed how life and death were both in his hands and not someone else's. He liked being in control of his own destiny.
There was another flash of steel but Kale moved out of its way yet again. Kale did have to applaud the kid for effort. He might have ended the life of someone that had given up. This kid on the other hand had continued to try to fight him, even when he could clearly see he was going to lose. Between the fight and the climate, Kale had been left in a very generous mood.
When the boy came in to attack him yet again he did not dodge the attack as he had the numerous times before. The more experienced gladiator ducked under the swipe for his head and darted towards his opponent. The man did not have time to bring his sword back in the opposite direction before Kale's fist impacted his stomach. The man doubled over as his fingers lost their grip on the sword.
Kale kicked the sword aside as he pulled the boy to his feet. "Next time follow through with your attacks. When you only attack once you leave yourself open", he told the man. "Next time we meet I want you to put up more of a challenge." A small grin played across the veteran gladiator’s face as he lifted his opponent’s hand in a gesture signifying a tie between the two fighters. There were many negative cheers at this action but he did not care.

Be realistic when playing with Kale. Chained Ones are rare. He has no undead traits that someone can tell. There for you do not know he is undead. Until he exhibits extreme qualities outside of what a human would you can not even tell he is not human. Once he does you will NOT know what he is, only then he is not human. There for you DO NOT suddenly know how to kill him.If you some how know that he is an undead creature without a plausible reason then I will seek moderator intervention on the matter.

Aleka watched with excitement drumming within the canal of her ears, her heart beating at a fast pace as the battle rung on. Eyes almost brighter than the Suvan Sea during high noon seem to dance and flick about from one combatant to another, ignoring the cheers and jeers of the crowd around her. She was really into the battle and was doing her best to follow their movements so maybe one day she might be able to practice them with someone else or by herself. Though being alone and fighting against a dummy like say a tree stump really wouldn’t train her muscles to act more on reflex then commands.
When the crowd booed for the tie, Aleka stood up cheering for the clear victor of the battle, Kale. She could tell he had an intellect about him if he was willing to let the boy live where others would have killed him. Placing her fingers into her mouth she gave a sharp loud whistle hoping to get Kale’s attention. Now how was she to get it so she might talk to him about possible training. Quickly turning around she raced out of the stands and towards what she thought might be were the gladiators were held. She began to think this might work but was suddenly stopped by guards, which angered her. “Let me by I want to talk to that guy that just tied with the boy.” Aleka of course was just held back by blades and glares of worse damage to herself.
Frowning she looked around and then grinned, running once more she did her best to sneak toward the entrance that seemed only for the fighters and slaves. It was here among the flora that the half breed waited in hopes that the man, Kale, would be exiting some time soon. |
