Witch of Greed
The dirty, homeless boy was incredibly close to not even delivering the message to this Sasin character. He already had the coppers, and the Inn way a half hours walk away. The only thing that made him honor his task was the shady task-giver. The boy knew that a street urchin's death would go unnoticed, and didn't doubt that such an event might happen if this note didn't get to it's prescribed recipient.
Sasin was in a dark corner of a local, run-down Inn, when the boy entered. The filth covered boy entered, garnering absolutely no interest from the patrons. Such a young, destitute orphan deserved no attentions. But Sasin noticed him. And the boy seemed to notice Sasin. Their eyes locked for just a moment, but that's all the boy needed to know that this was the name the note was destined for.
The greasy orphan walked over to Sasin and dropped the note onto his lap. Then, without leaving any time for Sasin to ask where it came from, he ran out of the Inn.
The folded paper read:
If you have been handed this ticket, it means you have caught the eye of a very enterprising group. We could use your talent and we don’t mean your speed, young Dhani. Scouts have noticed you have other talents; talents that are frowned upon by common society. But we see your talents as a way for you to become wealthy. If you are interested in joining our family that deals justice by the hand of pay, please travel down Kabrin road toward Taldera to the first traveler shelter. Once you reached the shelter, if you are on time, you should see a detail of Syliran Knights making their rounds. Don’t worry about them, and take a left into the forest, there will be a narrow path through the brush, follow it until you find an arrow. This is your drop. More details into what your task is will be found there. But you must make haste, for when you finish reading this message, you will have but one day to get to the post.
I know the family can trust you,
Owl
P.S. It is worth mentioning that you are being graded... but don’t let that worry you.
