Xavior began to move through the forest until he reached a break in the trees. He could feel Thalj's breath as it rolled along his wings like a humid sea breeze. He paused and looked over the expanse of flat farm land. The wild grass, brown and wet as the morning frost had melted during the day. The parallel, shallow, trenches laid out unattended until the first hints of spring. He could scan the horizon as little islands of forest seemed to sprout from the cold sea of farmland. Almost every island was a home nestled up against them. He could see the miniature homes as smoke lazily drifted into the sky and seemed to meld with the orange clouds. He could see for miles, even the city of Sunberth could be seen. A tiny blip in the horizon, the stone buildings were silhouetted by the setting sun. It was a strange world, foreign to him. The breeze began to blow over his wings and gave an odd sensation. The combination of warm breath mixed with the almost biting cold sent shivers over his body. He could hear people near by, perhaps there was an inn near by. He could feel Thalj's eyes on his back, curiosity perhaps, or maybe even more? Either way Xavior didn't mind it. He had been in Lhavit, a self shut in, rarely did he ever get out of the room he stayed in. But as his mind drifted through thoughts, he could feel a calling as the sun began to drift lower and lower below the horizon. He jumped when he felt Thalj's curious hands move to rub against the membrane as his pulse hastened a bit. He loved the touch, but loved it even more while beginning to change. He stepped out into the clearing with a grin as the slow transition of sun to moon began to show in the sky. "I'm not sure why I'd be hunted, just feared or hated by the animals that walk this world." He paused a moment and let his eyes fall on Thalj's, "No offense intended of course. You at least know you are an animal and not cursed with the superiority complex that supposed intelligent beings have. Little do they know, how much of an animal they actually are." Xavior's black pools of eyes seemed to slowly bleed out from the iris and reveal a maroon color underneath. The color seemed to bleed up to his hair as his once shorter, unkempt hair began to grow longer until it was about shoulders length. "Now don't be alarmed, you are not the only one with secrets. I just wished I could hide it better then yourself." He said rather peacefully to Thalj, even as his wings seemed to contort behind him and scrunch tighter and tighter. His hair was colored mostly white, but still patches of maroon remained almost in the sharp, oblong shapes of leaves. His body seemed to be growing longer as well. His legs and torso filled out more as well as elongated as he gained almost an entire foot of height. "We are more alike then those humans," Xavior flexed his arms as the sun's light grew dimmer and dimmer. "We have two completely different sides to us, yet we are exactly the same no matter what facade we wear." Xavior's navy blue fur soon seemed to peel away from his body and flutter in the wind as a steady gust blew. The fur's shape was much like that of leaves as they drifted in the breeze. Shortly after they left his body, they'd soon break a part into fine dust that glinted with the moon's rays as it crept higher and higher into the sky. His brown torso slowly was revealed beneath the grunge of fur that continued to peel away from his body. The silvery, dust seemed to imitate that of stars in the night sky. The flesh of Xavior's body was more statuesque, almost as if his body had been cut from a block of marble. The wings that were on his back began to grow even denser as the sun had fully gone to sleep. The dents where the two powerful wings once attached to his back began to move along his spine and up his neck. They split away from each other and stopped on either side of his forehead. The base of the horns continued to shift and change. The base a brilliant violet color. As the black membrane of the wings curled around themselves and solidified into the horn like material, they seemed to bleach themselves. The tips of his horns a more golden color then violet. "It's because of this knowledge, knowing that you accept what you are, that I feel like I can trust you far more then any female or male." Xavior stood still clothed in a loincloth. Though the bit of fabric proved to be a bit too small to cover all of his pride. Xavior knew this but didn't make a move right away to change it. His pack held his favorite leathers to wear while in this form, but he was curious as to how the kitty would react. He seemed receptive enough to his friendliness and more then a bit taken aback by his forwardness. Though the sun's rays still lit the sky, the moon's light had already begun to glow strongly in his heart. He could already feel the tiredness of the flight over to Sunberth began to melt away from his body. "Do you accept what you see Thalj?" His accent seemed to change slightly. His words seemed slower, the vowels drawn out slightly; needless to say Thalj came out quite differently to the actual pronunciation. "I mean, I've seen your two selves, now you're witness to mine. Try not to stare south to much cat." Xavior decided to play ball a bit more, "I got a ball of yarn you can play with instead. Besides it looks like there is some sort of house or something over there, perhaps we can get a room? You have money right?" Xavior paused and waited for Thalj to reply. As he did, his eyes looked behind Thalj and almost thought he could see two tiny eyes from a behind a bush. He didn't think much of it, whatever it was didn't seem to want to reveal itself, yet. |
