Mizahar is, at its core, a play-by-post role playing game based on collaborative storytelling. You play one or more characters by writing their stories as posts in a forum. Imagination is the only graphics card required to play Mizahar; it is a true RPG, one in which you can do anything you can think of. Built around this game is a vibrant, friendly community of creative individuals that foster intelligent discussion and artistic activities.
The world of Mizahar is completely unique and original, designed from scratch to be appealing and thought-provoking. Five centuries have passed since the devastation of the Valterrian, a total divine war triggered by the fury of Ivak, god of fire, at the death of his human lover. Mankind was almost totally slaughtered, and spent many decades barely surviving in the bowels of the planet. Slowly but surely, people are rebuilding the world, but what kind of world will it be? There are countless factions and agendas, faces from the past, new forces rising. Threats once vanquished by humanity have regained a foothold in the world, and cruel gods are once again maneuvering mortals like so many puppets.
- Play 20 unique races. Forget about your Elves and Dwarves; Mizahar does not borrow from Tolkien's worlds. Instead, you can be a shapeshifting Kelvic, a noble Ethaefal fallen from nirvana, a body-snatching undead Nuit, a predatorial Zith, and many more.
- Flexible moderation system; impartial Storytellers dictate the consequences of one's actions and prevent god-modding, but adventures can also be moderated by the players themselves with Storyteller approval.
- Learn any skill imaginable; skill progress is extremely simple and hassle-free. Simply keep using the skill and have Storytellers award you experience. Gather 100 experience points in a given skill and become a living legend!
- Believable magic system that actually feels "magical". Magic can be fueled by the self, the gods, or the world around. Mix and match different disciplines to achieve new effects, but beware... power always comes at a price.
- Dozens of cities, each with unique traits, economy, and dynamics.
- Consistent world building: interact with a multitude of gods of all ranks and domains, each with a distinct personality, agenda and Gnosis powers they can grant to their followers.
- Who needs goblins? Face unique threats such as Fragments - wild splinters of slain gods - or ancient, exotic Relics from mankind's early days.
- Gain recognition and earn medals for your exploits in both the game world and the community.
