Alea leaned against Yuros as he spoke, listening silently. Some part of her felt like Yuros wasn't making a lot of sense, and yet she felt like she understood him anyway. She did not usually think about her feelings like that, she either felt them or ignored them. But it sounded like this was something new to Yuros, and the only way she knew to help him was to be a comforting presence. His heartbeat lulled her with its gentle rhythm, and as she relaxed, her eyelids drooped. She fell into a semi-conscious doze, and strange images of green and running filled her head.
A few chimes later, she awoke abruptly, recalling nothing but the barest fragments of her semi-dreams, and the undeniable fact that she still had work to do. She slid off Yuros' lap regretfully, grasping his hand for as long as possible, but then saying, "I still have to feed the rest of the animals. Wait for me?" She smiled, knowing that he would. She finished the rest of her work quickly, feeling invigorated, though it still took over a bell, and her shoulders ached from lifting so much hay so quickly.
When she finished, she grabbed her kelvic's hand and pulled him up. "Come on, i'm starving. Let's go see what there is to eat." Grinning, she linked elbows with Yuros, and all but dragged him off to the kitchens.
