A Seductress in The Mists

Harmonia's feet most unwillingly brought her to the center of the marketting district in Sunberth, her bones and muscles aching from the chilly winter winds and her eyelids drooped slightly with tiredness. A cold fog was thick through these streets, where water droplets were suspended in the atmosphere, making the air moist and difficult to breathe through. Her crystal blue optics glanced around the market place before eyeing the big lettering of 'The Pigs Foot Tavern' and strolled towards it at a semi-fast pace, longing to be within it's warm rooms, caring little for the stench of stale liquor she allowed short breaths to pass in and out of her pale lips. Coming to a stop not too far from the wooden doors of the tavern her vision became unclear as her mind delved into it's depths of the unknown, a display being played in front of her with perfect precision.
-A mugging, her purse of coins being stolen from her by a masked male from her right, he would rush past her in an attempt to grasp the thin drawstring bag that was attached to the inner side of her cream coloured cloak.-
As soon as the vision was done, Harmonia snapped her eyes open and took a step back as her mugger rushed past her, instead of him grasping at her cloak he grabbed thin air. Upon reaching inside the silken folds of her cloak she unsheathed a hidden blade, flicking her wrist in the most basic of motions, the male letting out a loud shout of pain as she sliced through the flesh of his sticky fingered hand. A smear of blood stained a little of her clothing but she hoped that it would not be noticed as she pushed him out the way and continued on her path to the tavern. Once inside, she heard all the raised voices of drunks and such quieten to silence at the sight of the pallid female, wearing naught but white, much like a beautiful angel or seductress.

The half blood barbarian sat at his own table, his back against the wall as he enjoyed the honey wine with in his drinking horn. He usually sat at the bar but these days he played dangerously with the denizens of this city of outlaws and his paranoia would be justified to make him believed he be a man marked for death. Since summer he had sent over forty men to the afterlife, a large kill count for any one man to hold with out a grudge set against him. He took precautions to increase his life expectancy, but he was not a man to cower away in some dank whole. No, he was going to live life to its fullest, each day at a time.

This day was no different and a pale skin beauty entered the bar just in his peripheral vision. The half blood barbarian had a thing for the konti and this one that just entered his sights was as a credit to their race as the rest of them were. A race of beautiful pale skin white haired women made him wonder why he had not visited their homeland.

" KONTI!!!" Cade's myrian deep toned voice echoed like thunder through out bar. He was very blunt in whose attention he was seeking. From just the looks of her she was alone and obviously not looking for anyone. So why would this barbarian be of bad company as any the rest of the degenerates of this scum filled drinking whole. " Konti!!" His voice stuck out, but smoother this time for the patrons of this bar were now silent as the half blood myrian spoke. " Come join me for a drink.... You seem to be in need of company and I am alone this night" he pleaded " Plus, the first few rounds will be on me"

The female konti's optics observed the inside of the now silent tavern, almost jumping as what she could only assume to be a drunk shouted out to her, although after a moment or so of searching her gaze fell upon the form of a well muscled bronze skinned male motioning towards her. He looked rather like a handsome man, but not one that should be trusted. However, she was not one to judge and nothing dangerous seemed to linger in the atmosphere. Besides, what harm could it do? Staying silent with her hood hiding her hair, leaving just her pallid features on display, exposing the gills at her throat to those who watched carefully enough. Slowly, Harmonia's feet stepped onto the wooden flooring, carrying her to the bronze skinned man's table.
The scent in this part of the tavern was different, more sweet rather than stale; it made the back of her throat ache for water and her stomach grumble with hunger. Upon sitting down in a chair opposite him, she casually pulled back her hood and unhooked the clasp of her cloak, shrugging her shoulders out of the soft material. As soon as the hood fell back, her silvery locks wavered in and out of her beautiful eyes, which she almost instantly fluttered towards him in a most flirtatious manner.
"I do hope your hospitality is as great as those beautiful muscles."Her voice was quiet yet more feminine than one could ever wish for, with an alluring tone that could make even the strongest of souls fall weak at the knees. "I've traveled such a long way, and I'm rather thirsty." The Konti felt her pale lips curl into her usual, signature smirk, obviously pleased with the level of flirtatiousness she displayed to the slightly barbaric looking male.

Yes, this creature of beauty was a credit to her race, or at least this barbarian thought so. His entire focus fell upon her, as she gracefully manoeuvred to his table, not beckoned but invited. She knew how to move her curves, captivating the brute with her natural beauty and her seductive aura that radiated from her very being. It was obvious she was a woman that knew how to get her way and that brought a wolfish grin to the savage warrior's face.

The compliment to his chiselled body boosted Cade's ego and confidence in what this Konti was bringing to the table. She mentioned being thirsty, a state of dehydration that Cade could help out with. He raised his hand, motioning for the tavern wench over for her service. "Order what you wish sweetheart" Cade commanded as his eyes studied her body, entirety while the wench made her way to the table. Her curves, the silver hair and the crystal blue eyes made the barbarian's blood boil in lust, but he had to contain the urge... well at least tell he got to know the konti beauty a bit more. " My name is Cade" he informed, washing down the lustful gulp with his spirit of choice, mead.

Harmonia's pale crystal blue gaze bore into the eyes of the bronze warrior's, the hues of which deepening to an ocean of sparkling sapphire when she saw the grin spread across his features. She was sure she could manipulate this one easily, he couldn't take his eyes off her lithe form. When the barmaid hurried over to the table Harmonia didn't even look up to her, instead casually asking for some water. It was only on the rare occasion that she would taint her purity with the warmth of alcohol. Moving her fingers back into her thick silvery locks she spread out the hair evenly, her eyes never leaving the brave mans. With a short breathe of a sigh she leaned her head upon her cheek, a smile still curling her pale yet plump lips. Each of her features seeming to be perfectly sculpted from bright white marble, aside from the eyes, that could only be described as jewels fit for a king! At Cade's introduction she smiled even wider and reclined back into her wooden chair, onto the cloth of her cloak.

"A pleasure to meet you, Cade. I'm Harmonia." Once again, the Konti's voice was purposefully alluring, this was how she preyed upon other men like a siren would to sailors, a slight twitch throbbing throughout the muscles under her prominent jaw, her head having tilted to one side as she watched him. No visions had come yet. Obviously this male had no current intentions of harming her, but as soon as his path was clear, she would know. When the woman returned to the table side she didn't even bother pull out her purse of coins, as she'd suggested earlier, she'd leave it to the male across from her to pay the wench. Taking a most casual sip from the ice-cold glass she paused, the irises momentarily hazing over to a scene of bright white and one of the most uncomfortable feelings overwhelmed her delicate-looking body. Lust. The feeling was clear. Although the feeling went as quickly as it had came, and she stared for a moment or two at Cade. His decisions were not set in stone, but she knew what he was feeling now for sure.

It was obvious the konti was using her seductive wiles on him as the barbarian had no protest against it. Why should he protest, it wasn't that often Cade had the chance to have company with a beautiful woman. The mercenary took another long gulp of his mead finishing the remains off while the barmaid was still around. He paid for Harmonia's water and made another order of mead for himself. The servant husseled off and Cade's attention once more fell upon the konti across from him.

"So.. Harmonia! What brings a beautiful konti such as your self to the trash pit of miz?" It was a fair question for the half blood myrian to intrigue upon. Plus he wanted to know her business to see if it would cross any of his own dealings. Being inquisitive in this city was a survival mechanism that could also get you killed, but he felt no present danger for the beauty.

A Seductress in The Mists

Harmonia's eyes observed the male in front of her with intense precision, her sapphire hued optics wavering over his face, observing everything about him to ensure he was not about to try anything. Still sitting back in her chair she sipped every now and then at the glass of water she'd ordered with her right hand fiddling slightly with the soft tips of her silvered hair. The young konti felt fairly self-conscious about being such a crowded place - she could not hide her gills, and hers were already easily noticed by many. Feeling several eyes watch the two of them share a short yet polite conversation she debated placing her hand upon the hilt of the thin dagger she kept hidden within her elegant robes. But after much thought she naturally decided against it, she barely knew how to sharpen a blade let alone use one even in the slightest of ways, besides, the savage warrior across the table from her looked as though he could snap her neck in just one fluid movement if he wanted to.. It would be best to just play the game for now. Listening to roughness of his voice, she tried to place his heritage; where he’d come from, what kind of man he was. But alas, she had a strange feeling she would get to know this character soon enough.
”Beautiful? You flatter me, Cade. But, in answer to your question, I’ve travelled from Mura via the White Isle.” As the female watched him, her visage slowly came to notice the darkened circles around his eyes and his poised position, as though waiting for something, like a lion waiting to pounce upon his prey. She would not be his prey. Something struck her mind, it almost felt physical as danger grew closer, the image of the male in front of her melting into the darkness as she watched the act that would happen in a few moments. ’The Mugger… He shall come seek revenge, but he will not come alone.. Hide, Hamonia…’ The quiet voice echoed throughout her mind, but once she’d been pulled from her reverie she stared about the tavern for the muggers agile form.

A Seductress in The Mists

Postby Cade on February 17th, 2012, 12:36 pm

The barbarian's attention upon the Konti was interrupted by what he saw coming up behind her. His savage battle instincts kicked into over drive as his eyes flared upon the man approaching, grasping his side in what seem to be pain. But pain was not what he saw in the man's facial expression. His eyebrows were down and together, his eyes were glared upon the back of Harmonia's head and his lips were narrowed. No the man's face showed the signs of pure anger as his posture complemented intent of harm as his free hand was hidden with in his cloak, more then like grasping a dagger that had the konti's name on it.

The man closed in faster and with out hesitation the half blood myrian pounced to action, thrusting forward. The longsword was unsheathed with panther like reflexes fluently into one motion the blade struck out in a diagonal strike from its home. The sword slashed into the advancing man's right arm with such force that it cut into the flesh and shattered the bone while sending the would be attacker sprawling to the floor.

Cade did not see the second man tell his peripheral vision saw a short blade lashing for his throat. With a quick side step to his right and forward the barbarian twisted on his heels avoiding the second attacker's strike while his very own blade came hailing down from the heavens above. With all his strength and weight behind the over hand chop, Cade had cleaved the man from his left collarbone and deep into his rib cage, killing him instantly with the save trauma.

Instantly Cade Kicked the carcass off his blade, unsheathing it from his skin and bone. He turned around noticing the patrons had cleared a radius around them. His eyes were of inferno rage as his sword thirsted for more blood, this was who the barbarian was.... a warrior of flesh, bone and steel and he was not more at home then when he blade meats flesh., a butcher of men. His eyes picked up on the first Attacker, he was trying to gain his footing but no assistance came from the brute as with one heave kick to the ribs, the man slid another few feet across the floor in pain and obvious broken ribs.

Cade turned back to his Konti companion, his eyes may been of the blaze of battle but his grin was of the wolf's smile, his k 9 teeth licked in pleasure. " HE WANTED YOU DEAD........ YOU CHOOSE HIS FATE!" He growled in his beastly myrian tone that demanded attention.

A Seductress in The Mists

Postby Archelon on April 7th, 2012, 7:27 pm

Epilogue:
"Clean up that bloody mess you overmuscled brute, I swear one of these days I'm going to have to kick you out of my tavern and ensure you don't come back." Merv griped from behind the counter as he washed another dish. "Some people in sunberth just have no respect for a man's place, no respect at all. If you have a problem with someone accosting a girlfriend or two of yours then take it outside. It's the one rule I have and you'll petching keep it! As is, you'll owe me for the bloody mess!" The old man would grumble before turning back to the task at hand.

Many of the people in the bar would return to the norm. Paying the hulking brute no heed as they went about the business of filling their bellies. Death, even violent death, was just a part of life... so long as the tavern master did nothing more then gripe they wouldn't interfere and beat some sense into another man's skull as they tossed him out on his hind legs. For now at least...
