The confrontation, or perhaps makings of friendship, between a myrian and a human

Taloba, home to the Myrians, is the thriving core of Falyndar. Inhabited by a fierce and savage tribe where blood sacrifices are normal and a way of life, they are untamed and proud of it. Warlike, and with their numbers growing, the Myrians are set on reclaiming what is rightfully theirs. [Lore]

An unexpected connection (Nyaella)

Postby Revy Hiroe on October 4th, 2012, 12:31 pm

Having her hands caught up high only served to annoy the human woman. She felt her rage starting to boil up higher and higher. She wanted to see blood now, which started to show in her eyes. On top of that was that her expression had fallen into a pokerface. Not a trace of emotion was present on it. "This woman will feel why it's a bad idea to anger me."

As the woman pushed herself off or the headbutt, Revy immediately pulled up her knee, smashing it into the myrian's side. She wasn't able to avoid taking the hit though and felt her head snap back as the pain shot up from her jaw to her head. A faint metalic taste filled her mouth, notifying Revy that she had bitten her cheek upon the impact.

As if not affected by the blow, the mercenary moved herself back a bit and tried to ram her knee into the myrian woman yet again. She had to get her hands out of the deadlock, or she wouldn't be able to use her weapon and because she didn't have a spare one on her, she knew that if she wasn't able to use it, she would most surely lose.
oocSorry for the long wait, finally forced myself to write. Currently trying to reconnect to Revy

An unexpected connection (Nyaella)

Hands held high over her head, Nyaela almost loosened her grip on the woman’s hands as pain exploded in her side where she had been kneed. She tightened her grip on the other woman’s hands to steady herself, her fingernails digging into skin just as the knee slammed into her side for a second time, and she grit her teeth as it connected in the same place. That was going to leave a mark.

Thinking quickly, she let go of one of the woman's arms, grabbing the one hand that she still held and pushing it over Revy’s head in an attempt to turn the woman around and put her in a chokehold. She stepped forward to put more muscle into the turn, but the bruising on her side that she had just received complicated things a bit. It was risky enough in that as soon as she let go of the one arm it put her in a very vulnerable position and the human would be able to escape, but if she moved fast enough she could ignore the pain in her side for a second, and it would definitely give her the upper hand.

OOCIt's okay, I totally understand. :)

An unexpected connection (Nyaella)

Postby Revy Hiroe on November 5th, 2012, 9:45 am

The opponent made a big mistake in releasing Revy's hands. Now she was able to use her weapon with one hand, with which she were no less handy then she was with two. "Stupid mistake, myrian.", she said as she released her sword with one hand, the other aimed to slam into Naeya's shoulder.

It was difficult for Revy to push against the force applied by the myrian, she was just hoping that she could get out of it before that woman was able to get her into a deadlock. "Petching hell. I need to get her to back off... fast.", she thought to herself. Just then the woman could succeed if her shoulder wasn't broken from the impact of Revy's swordguard.

Pain flamed from her shoulder as her arm got twisted behind her back. What the human could only do right now was bite through the pain as she lay her sword on her other shoulder and pointed it at the woman behind her. "Either you let go now, or I'll thrust this thing through your pretty face.", she bit through clenched teeth, "I'd rather... have a dislocated shoulder then to lose to you."

oocFeel free to dislocate Revy's shoulder. But keep in mind that if you do, Revy'll lash out with her sword ;)

An unexpected connection (Nyaella)

Postby Nyaela on November 25th, 2012, 12:26 am

OOCHey, sorry for the wait, I've just had a few busy weeks with school and life.

An eyebrow rose slightly at the woman's threat, wondering whether or not the woman would really be able to overlook the pain of a dislocated shoulder and run her through with the sword. Testily, she yanked a bit at the arm she held, biting off her surprised gasp when the sword pushed back to stop within inches of her face. She let out a little breathless laugh, "So, my dear little human knows how to play, doesn't she?" Careful not to put any pressure on the human's arm, she slowly began to walk in a circle, her eyes focused on the point of the sword so close to her face. She knew she was between a tiger and a wall with this one; but for someone so outcast within her own society, the need to win over this human and prove herself a Myrian was too great.

Her playful tone dropped to a soft hiss, "Pity for you I never once cared for my face. A scar should make it prettier." Nyaela made sure to point Revy's gaze in the direction of the other Myrian fighters scattered about the rink, both graceful and deadly in their fighting style. "You see them, little human? They are my people. We are a race of warriors, trained to serve the Goddess Myri with our strength and arms from day one. A small scratch is no true deterrent to a real Myrian." As if on cue, she pulled the woman's arm in her direction to dislocate the limb, gritting her teeth and steeling herself for the upcoming blow she knew she wouldn't be able to avoid.

WoundAs long as you keep both her eyes/nose intact, you can pretty much decide what wound you want to give her. :P

An unexpected connection (Nyaella)

Postby Revy Hiroe on November 27th, 2012, 4:21 pm

Revy hissed in pain as the myrian pulled on her arm to test her, but didn't hesitate to push the sword towards her face. The words of the woman behind her were only adding fuel to the already raging firestorm. She thought that she'd get away with just a small scratch? Revy would make sure that she would regret having said that. ”I'm gonna cut her to pieces, petching bitch'll regret making fun of me.” she thought as rage started to take over her mind.

The moment Nyaela started to truly try to dislocate the mercenary's arm, she thrusted her sword towards her face. The blade missed it's target as the myrian did try to avoid it, even a little. Because of that, the blade only went through the corner of her mouth up to the hinge of her jaw, laying bare the teeth behind the severed flesh. Just then her arm dislocated.

Yelling in pain, Revy tumbled forward as Nyaela released her. However, she didn't release her weapon. The throbbing pain, the anger of being unable to use her arm and the already boiling rage within her made the mercenary stand up just after hitting the ground. She held her longsword diagonal in front of her body, this fight wasn't over yet. ”I'm gonna make sure you regret doing that. This fight won't be over till I see you writhe in your own pool of blood.” she spat out. Sweat from suppressing the pain stood on her forehead, her vision was a little blurry and it seemed that her legs wanted to give up, but all that didn't matter. As long as the human had a target and a purpose, she would continue to fight.

An unexpected connection (Nyaella)

Postby Nyaela on January 9th, 2013, 2:45 am

A scream tore through her throat just as the blade sliced through her cheek, baring teeth and little bit of her bone. Nyaela stumbled backward, both hands clamped tight over the cut. No matter how hard she tried to blink it away, tears began to leak from the sides of her eyes as her jaw clenched convulsively in an effort to steel herself from the pain, though it only served to make the blood flow faster.

Not watching her step, the Myrian fell backwards with a thump, rolling over onto her stomach and shifting to all fours before the human got close enough. She slowly rose to a standing position, but despite her stamina, the scrapes and bruises were starting to get to her, and that fall in the sand definitely made it worse. And, Goddess, her mouth felt like it had been set on fire!

The unharmed corner of her mouth lifted slightly as she grimaced at the human. As ready as she was to grab that sword and stick it in this deyhan's face - no, she couldn't call her that anymore; the woman had earned her place among Myri's people - one or both of them may end up dead. What kind of praise would that be?

She shook her head and spat blood out to the side, "I don't plan on doing that. I've heard it's unhealthy ..." Jokes were clearly not her strong point. Her mouth twitched and she spat out more blood.

"Besides," she added grudgingly, "Your talent should not be wasted on this training ground. You have fought well enough for a Myrian. It would be a shame to see you ... how did you say it ... writhe in your own pool of blood." She slurred the words as more blood filled her mouth. It hurt to smile, so she didn't. She stepped back slowly, clamping one hand tightly over the hole in her cheek to slow the blood and holding her other hand out to the side in a gesture of peace. Eyeing the human warily, she stopped, ready to push back one final assault if need be, but not sure if she'd be able to continue much longer.

An unexpected connection (Nyaella)

Postby Revy Hiroe on January 17th, 2013, 10:19 am

The words of the myrian seemed to come from further and further away. The vision of the mercenary was slowly diminishing. "Petch, petch petch. Move you piece of shyke body.", she thought to herself as she stood there frozen. Her body steadily seemed to start shaking more and more. Her arm hanging limp by her side didn't help too much, let stand that pain.

As the breathing of the human got rougher, it was becoming more and more clear that she was in no state anymore to fight. It was even clear that it was taking almost all of her concentration to remain standing. "You're.... the one.... that... should... bleed", she managed to get out by forcing herself. Almost all of her vision was gone. All she could see was the tip of her blade shaking heavily and Nyaela in front of her.

Just then her legs just gave out, Revy's vision went completely black. She couldn't hold out any longer, her body was at it's limit, if not over. She went face-forward to the ground. Her body betrayed her will to protect itself from further harm. The human had passed out from the pain, fatigue and the blows she had received. She was done. There was nothing she could've done to prevent her from fainting. All she did was curse herself in her mind just before passing out.

Additional Notes :
Pretty good guys, and Naeyla, I was very impressed that you were willing to suffer so much to make a point. Tres Myrian. Revy, I liked how you kept your misanthropic and hateful attitude no matter what. Too many people start with that attitude and then soften it without reason. Way to commit. Enjoy, ladies, hope to see more of you both!
