Essentially, tall with a lean muscle mass. He has dirty blonde hair with green eyes. Character Concept Mattathias has a love for children carried down by his parents. He has seen good and evil in adults but considers the youth to be innocent and pure, thus easily manipulated by the environment around them. An adult that needs help might not grab his attention, but a child will always touch that soft place in his heart. This is why he uses his limited teaching abilities on training the youth most of the time. Mattathias is a well mannered person knowing that a person's mouth could get them into trouble as quick as one's actions. He still holds the deep rooted teaching of his parents in him that tell him to lend a hand if possible to those truly in need. But given what happened to his parents and the resentment he still feels over it, Mattathias does not necessarily care about the laws. His morale compass would easily tell him to break a law if that was what it took to help someone in need. This is especially true when it comes to children. Character History Mattathias Gedeon grew up in the city of Zeltiva. Both of his parents were teachers; his father, Samsin, taught math at the university while his mother, taught within the children education system. Matte spent most of his time in his mother's classroom learning the basics of life while watching her teach the other children. How she handled them was fascinating to him. she always managed to get them to return their focus to her whenever she had something important to teach them. Matty spent a day here and there hanging out with his father in the university. this was always considered a special occasion whenever he had done something good. though teaching other adults was not all that fascinating to Matty, listening to his father talk about math was. There was something in watching how his father loved math and heard it in his voice that kept Matte on the edge of his seat. Matty began to excel in math and loved to ask his father questions about math at night after dinner. When Matty had turned 15 years of age, his parents had decided to take a leave of absence from their jobs to travel to other cities in Sylira. They wanted to take their teachings on the road to cities with lesser education systems. Their first stop was Sunbirth. Looking back, Matty knew that his parents hearts were too big and their thoughts of the world were too naive. In short, Matty's parents were killed six months after arriving to the lawless city. Matty had escaped the streets where his parents were being slaughtered. He made it to their temporary home, grabbed a few items he felt he needed to survive, saddled up a horse, and rode out just as the culprits arrived to ransack the house. Matty made his way to the open lands outside of the city and headed towards Syliras. His stay in Syliras lasted less than a day as he sold the horse and booked passage on the next boat out. It took him to the city of Riverfall and the Akalak people. Though an outsider, they city seemed a fair enough place. He soon found work at the local vineyard, The Bluevein Vineyard, and found some enjoyment working with his hands on the soil. Mattathias worked hard during the day learning all aspects of the vineyard; farming the land, the agricultural aspects of a vineyard, and the vinting process itself. In the evenings he kept to himself. Though he never did anything wrong, Matty also never did anything to fit in. He remained a hard worker yet isolated for four years. When Mattathias turned 20 he decided to head back to Zeltiva, the only place he had ever truly called home. Over the past 5 years everything felt different yet it had not looked like much had changed. Whether it was his perception of the place based on his childhood or actual change within the city, there was only one way to find out. He went to the small apartment that his parents owned. It was quite dusty having been unoccupied for so long, but he would clean it, Mattathias was home ...
