The houses in Kalinor don’t look anything like what you are used to. They aren’t square, they aren’t angular, and they don’t stand on the ground. Instead they are roughly pear shaped or shaped like a drop and hang from the ceiling. They don’t have windows, and the entrance is located at the very top of the house. From there stairs usually led down, towards the living quarters. Symenestra homes usually don’t have a lot of rooms, but niches in the walls where the individual members of a Web store their things or sleep. The houses are made of stalactites or stones, and they are connected to each other by thick cords of silk.
Temporary Housing for visitors is available in The Meadows Public House

Wind Reach CS Template
Moderator's Note: All Avora or Endal Caste must be pre-approved by Gossamer or Phoenix.
Physical Description Name: Race: Age: Birthday:
Character Concept
Character History
Possessions
1 Set of Clothing -Simple Vinati (Females) -Simple Shirt or Barechested (Males) -Simple Bryda -Simple Sontav -Simple Undergarments -Simple Katinu -Low slung sandals or leather ankle boots Note: Only Inarta in Wind Reach get to start with the free Sontav. Note: Dek wear shapeless tunics called Lontev and are often forced to go barefoot or wear thin soled sandals. Undergarments and Katinu are rare. 1 Waterskin 1 Backpack which contains: -Comb (Glass, Bone, Metal) -Brush (Glass, Bone, Metal) -Soap -Razor -Balanced Rations (1 Week's worth) -1 eating knife -Flint & Steel Heirloom: (worth 50gm) 100 Pinions
Housing: Note: PM DS Phoenix to have a private residence added. Otherwise, seek out the Valintar.
Darniva Commonrooms All Wind Reach housing is inside the Mt. Skyinarta Volcano in cave systems. Anyone living in Wind Reach lives in a cave. There are no cottages or buildings outside the volcano. With the exception of drudges, who sleep wherever they finish working, the common housing of Wind Reach all reside within the Darniva Commonrooms. There is actually plenty of space for everyone since the rooms were created with the advent of Wind Reach and made numerous with the anticipation of a much larger city. Rooms can be rented or purchased by travelers or immigrants through the Valintar for any duration of stay at any size requirement. People do not have to stay in the rooms they rent, often renting a small space and opting to move into a far larger one. The Inarta themselves, other than the drudges who do not get their own rooms, are free to occupy whatever space they'd like. Visitors that occupy spaces other than the ones they have leased or purchase run the risk of getting run out the first time someone else rents or leases the space they are in. Individuals are responsible for keeping their own spaces clean, though there are a number of drudges assigned to the Darniva to keep them all clean as well. The Eagle Aeries The Home of the Wind Eagles and their riders and family, the aeries are the richest most elaborate residences found in Wind Reach. In order to access them, one must have an eagle as a bonded mount or be otherwise attached to a rider as part of his or her family. The Aeries are the only rooms in Wind Reach that have their own bathing chambers.

Endrykas CS Template
Physical Description Name: Race: Age: Birthday:
Character Concept
Character History
Possessions
1 Set of Clothing (Colorful) -Simple Shirt -Simple Pants -Simple Undergarments -Simple Cloak/coat -Simple Boots 1 Waterskin 1 Backpack which contains: -Comb (Bone) -Brush (Bone) -Soap -Razor -Balanced Rations (1 Week’s Worth) -1 eating knife -Flint & Steel Heirloom: (50gm worth) 100 Gold Mizas
Housing: There is no permanent Housing in Endrykas. All Drykas either live in their family’s Pavilion, or their own personal pavilion. True Drykas will take the horse/tent Travel Package, and to be considered a Drykas, you must have a bonded Strider. Without one, you get no Windmarks, and therefore are just Human.
1 large tent (4 person) 1 large tarp 100 ft of rope 1 lantern 2 torches 1 bedroll 1 blanket 1 set of fishing tackle & hooks 1 bonded Strider 1 Yvas 1 large set of yvas bags
Note on Yvas:
The Drykas use what is called a Yvas on their horses rather than bridles and saddles. A yvas is what equates to a girth with an attached breast collar combination hung with hooks and topped with a small flat hand grip that lays along a horse's shoulders. The Yvas is often placed over a colorful pad that acts to protect the horse from the rider. The grip fits over a strider's withers which holds the yvas in place. It almost looks like the type of thing vaulters used on their draft horses, though it is more functional than a vaulter's pad. The horses can free themselves from them if they got separated from their riders, and do not have tack to entrap or tangle them when they are running loose. The yvas has ring tethers on it for handling a set of wither bags and a waterskin, and is often decorated in knot-work beading that identified the horse and rider as part of a specific pavilion.
Drykas ride without any headgear or bridles on their horses at all. They do not use any halters either.

Possessions
1 Set of Clothing (Usually white, color isn’t unusual) -Simple Shirt -Simple Pants -Simple Undergarments -Simple Cloak/coat -Simple Boots 1 Waterskin 1 Backpack which contains: -Comb (Bone) -Brush (Bone) -Soap -Razor -Balanced Rations (1 Week’s Worth) -1 eating knife -Flint & Steel Heirloom: (50gm worth) 100 Gold Mizas
Housing: 1 basic 20x20 Arvinta in a Hold with a hearth, bunk, chest, chair, and small table.
Each Arvinta consists of a communal meeting or sitting room. Then there are private rooms for couples, and a common sleeping/living room for all the children. Visitors are often given a private room, while a couple will move in with the children to make extra room. Some of the larger, more expansive Holds with wealthier families have spare rooms in their Arvinta or special guest quarters when people move from place to place visiting. Holds often have common areas and craft cottages in buildings attached and are always made of solid stone. External buildings are often built from ice and warmed from within by special braziers that conduct heat into the room but do not melt the thick ice walls. A Hold may contain multiple Arvintas and might hold upwards of a couple hundred people.

1 Set of Clothing -Ankle Length Tunic with Short Sleeves -Simple Undergarments -Long Light Cloak (Colorful) (Men) -Shawls covering head and shoulders (Colorful) (Women) -Leather Sandals 1 Waterskin 1 Backpack which contains: -Comb (Bone) -Brush (Bone) -Soap -Razor -Balanced Rations (1 Week’s Worth) -1 eating knife -Flint & Steel Heirloom: (50gm worth) 100 Gold Mizas
Housing: Houses are single story, with emphasis on larger, open spaces, tiled floors, and simple geometry. They usually have domed, or flat roofs scaled by sturdy ladders or stairs, with awnings for shelter. Furnishing are usually low to the floor, consisting of cushions, a table, brazier, rugs, and a bed. There may be two rooms, but neither can be very large.
Housing isn't controlled by a central entity, but Biyram's stairs is a good place to see what's available among private parties
Temporary Housing for visitors is available at: The Covered Courtyard
If the PC chooses to start as a nomad in Eyktol, please note that they would want a tent of goat hair and either an Eyktoli Desertbred or Camel.
Chaktawe would have something similar but use animal hide with goat hair.
