Her nose scrunched up in disgust at the child's ramblings. Surely she was so very naive.

It was of little consequence to Seradell however. She had successfully lured a man to protect her and generally be beside her. It was plain to see the man was still relatively sober but regardless quite besotted with the Symposter. Roka appeared even angry at the child's mention of her smell, and had even defended her from the slander. How charming.

"If you think your ears would not be capable of hearing me truly sing, then perhaps I could be of interest in other oral talents?" Seradell had absolutely no intention of opening her legs to this boy, it was only to watch him shift uncomfortably as his desire grew. She was teasing him, loving how Seradell's body paired with Polla's voice could sway him.

"Perhaps you should find a room, master Roka," Sera leaned in and whispered gently against his ear. A plan was starting to form.

Blayze felt anger something twist in the pit of her stomach. Although she couldn't make out what was being said, she could see it all very clearly, and wanted nothing more than to leave. But she couldn't, she felt slightly responsible to observe the situation until it had run it's course, even if she could not intervene. Was this how Avalis felt? Knowing what would come to pass, and knowing she could not intervene? It was a feeling that sickened her, a sour taste forming in her mouth at the thought of it. There were few things she hated more than being unable to act as she wished to. But she felt she did not have the place. It was a strange feeling.

And it angered her to the point of white-knuckled grip around her mug and slitted smoky eyes. Something wasn't right. The bad feeling she had about the Symenestra woman become more potent every chime. But there was nothing she could do, no excuse she had to throw herself into the conversation.

Ach, damn it, damn it all!

The Konti glanced down to where her Tiger Hooks sat against the wall, then scolded herself, mumbling in Kontinese.

"Don't look at them again. You are NOT starting another barfight. Just drink the rest of your-you finished it already, didn't you?"

She clamped her jaw down, keeping her lips buttoned. Talking to ones' self was never a good thing. She needed some friends. Fast.

Aerika looked at the person that she could no longer tell if it was a woman or a man, but she knew this person smelled like the other people in the bar that had been drinking Merv's special drinks. With his words she tilted her head at him and began to wonder what he meant, "This is not the smell of the city, this reminds me of the hole behind the Pit after I win." Her voice remained completely toneless, and her focused stayed on the person who's gender she could not determine. With her stare only on him, she tried looking at their face, finding several features of a male, yet others like their eyes that reminded her of some women. The woman next to him had started talking to him again when she started getting closer, trying to figure this person out. One more inch and she would have had her nose on his shoulder, suddenly, another scent was discovered, something familiar, not the scent of death, yet something else.

Thoughts began to flood the young girl's head, until she finally remembered the scent. Her eyes grew large and she leaned back surprised she could not smell it earlier, he smelled just like a fox, not the same as her, but a drunken fox none the less. Before she said anything to him, she then was intrigued by the older scent once again, as it was incredibly strong and certainly reminded her of the Pits. She knew dead people could no longer move, yet the smell was similar, like one of the people was there now. Aerika's attention moved to the other woman, her black hair was perfect, her skin appeared flawless. Still allowing her mind to speak directly with no type of filter or second thought toward it, she then leaned in closer to the woman and asked her "Are you dead?" Only then did she notice that her question was asked in the silence of transition of music in the tavern. Her ear may have twitched, but her eyes were now focused on this other woman. Her claws that reminded her more of large spider's legs and grey skin that matched the color of the Zith she once met in the tavern as well.

"I beg your pardon?" Sera turned to the young insolent brat walking closer and closer to Roka, her companion.
"Aren't you a little young to be inside a bar?" She asked, rather non-plussed.
This girl would screw up the plan she had set in motion and Sera did not enjoy failure. It wouldn't take much to kill the child if she could not be silenced. An eyebrow raised in surprise at the child's question. It was not only rude to interrupt what was obviously a private conversation, but the question itself was preposterous. Was Seradell dead, indeed.

In all her ninety-two years, in all of her bodies - nearly twenty five -, no one had the impudence to be so forthright, and for a child to come to such a conclusion...

"The dead do not move. It is only the city, like he has said. I've only freshly come from outside." Not even two bells into the new town and people were already trying to identify her. She should not smell too terribly, her body was still fresh with fluid to prevent decay. Her eyes hadn't even a shadow to them to show tiredness. Where did this child come from?

Her only concern now was getting Roka away from the bar and away from the stink of ale. She could focus her attention back on him.
"How about that room, Rrroka?"

He lowered his head a breath escaping his parted lips. His hair curtained between them, as his flushed face now reached his ears. This was becoming uncomfortable. He wasn't sure if he was really fine with this. It made him even more uncomfortable to be the object of two women gazing upon him.

He gave Seradell a side glance before looking back over the room, he caught Blayze's eyes glaring madly upon the fair maiden. It confused him, made him unwell. He was receiving more and more reasons to find this entire night more and more peculiar.

He looked to Aerika, his eyes sharp, hoping for her to keep silent if only for a short passing. Then faced Seradell once new, he looked into her eyes and then over her face, feeling more confident, or maybe he truly had found liquid courage. He began to lean forward almost as to kiss her tentatively and then paused, taking in her supple face. He breathed out what could have been a laugh and then leaned into hair so his lips were inches from her ear. "Is it I who should be vexed about your intentions, rather than you mine?" He asked and tilted his head away from her side, taking in the aroma of her hair, his eyes closed like a pet comfortable with a stranger to allow subtle contact and find a familiar scent.

She did smell off, but the smell of what used to be, a sweet smell, he wished were stronger wafting about the strands of hair that blended so well into his locks falling by his side, brushing her shoulders ever so lightly. A gesture that he wished weren’t so tainted by this ill-omened feel.

As he pulled away his wish for this little fox to hold her tongue was not granted. 'Are you dead?' she asked. An unwilling growl slipped from his throat, though her question inappropriate perhaps she had a point. He still felt as an elder would in wanting to discipline her.

"You are being very impolite...do you truly want something, or are you just that unfamiliar with being outside of the wild..." He knew that if no one else understood the meaning she likely would, he meant it to sting if only a little, but wasn't sure that she'd even comprehend it as such.

He sighed, the moment had passed and he felt empty and slightly sick, what a vexing youngling. "Seradell, do you mind if I pay for your room and remain her for a period longer..." it wasn't really a question just his last attempt to remain as a human would be, polite and sincere. He was quite restless though.

Aerika continued her stare toward the woman with spider hands and did think to herself that this woman had a point. Dead people cannot move, but the people that kill them could, was it possible that this woman was also a Pit fighter? Aerika was about to ask blindly once more but her thought was interrupted by the now identified male who asked his question. The small girl wasn't sure of the meaning 'Impolite', yet she was confused with the last half of the question. She turned to him first and asked him quickly "Well I may be young, so I don't know how long being out of the wild would mean I am unfamiliar with human. How long have you been out of the 'wild'?" Her questions remained direct due to the fact that she simply didn't know nor did she care to think about how to ask or if she should even ask certain questions. Remembering her original question, the small fox girl turned back to the spider woman and asked her "So if your not dead, you must be one that kills right? do you by chance fight in the Pits as well? I don't believe I have ever seen your fights, but perhaps you've seen mine?" A slight expression of excitement filled her face as she had never had a chance to speak with someone of the Pits before. Aerika got excited and even started to bounce up and down a little, hoping to have made a new friend that she could walk to the Pits with and maybe someday, spare with. Aerika's hands grabbed each other and held themselves just over her chests as the first sign of emotion actually showed through the little girl's eyes.

Her jaw made dropped, hanging unhinged. She was bouncing, the little girl was bouncing. The Konti swore, grabbing the wrist of a barmaid as she walked past. She lifted her mug and held it up to the young girl without even glancing at her; "My mug's empty, care to refill it?"she took the mug without complaint. Blayze arched a brow, then shrugged. She was probably used to worse. She pushed her chair back, leaning her elbows on the table and threading her fingers. She pressed her lips against her knuckles, seemingly deep in thought. Why hadn't she just up and left yet? Would it really be so hard to stand up and leave?

In theory, no. But something was forcing her to sit and strain her ears to listen, watching the trio at the table across the room. It was the girl. The pale air, the fair skin, she couldn't help but think of her twin, back in Mura. Would she ever see her again? Blayze was highly doubtful that she would ever return to the White Isle. She'd seen enough of it to last a lifetime, more than one. And she still couldn't figure out why the hell she'd come to Sunberth. Why had she not gone further? To Lhavit, or Alvadas even?

The questions buzzed about her head, only frustrating her so because she had no answer for them. Behind her hands, agitation was carved into the alabaster of her face, her eyes burned, emeralds doused in green fire. The spindly parasite was grating on her nerves more than anything had in a long while. There was just something about her that made the Konti want to snap the insect in half. However, she kept this information to herself. Starting a fight would not be good at this point, no matter how delightful smashing a chair on her back seemed.

In no mood to dispute any further, Roka once again engaged the bartender to receive a fresh and frosty ale. He sipped it fervently, glad to find it swam down his throat easier and easier the more glasses he downed. He simply shook his head and sunk into the warmth of his innards.

When thinking about it he found the girl more comical than a nuisance. "What a silly creature, to fight for sport and company" the corner of his mouth upturned into a quiet smile. He shook his head and gazed upon the boards of the floor loosing train of thought easily. His sobriety was slipping away with each sip, reality becoming quite a joke with a punch line he wasn't too sure of.

He recalled his father being such a drunk, giddy and laidback. It hadn't occurred to him that of the few ways he was like his father, this would be one of those acquired traits. A silent laugh, only evident through the rise and fall of his shoulders, over took him. Roka lifted his palm to rub at his glassy eyes and then ran his fingers though his hair, pushing it from his face only to have it fall back in place.

"What odd company to receive on a night like this." a silent laugh rippled through him once again as he continued to sip upon his drink.

His attention was drawn back to the woman across from them again as she spoke. Had she seen the entire happening between the group? Now more intoxicated than sober he grinned at her, "If you require drink, come join the living at the bar." He chuckled again not sure if he would be the only one to fine the humor in his observation.

Oh, yes, Seradell was a person that killed.

How many had it been? Twenty three bodies, but she had certainly killed more than that. Her first form was an Akalak. She had thrilled in his form, and used whatever excuse she could rape and maim. Had she the Akalak's form, oh, what name had she used back then... She supposed it really didn't matter, but her first form, that red devil, would have loved Sunberth. Perhaps even these Pits that this infant chattered about incessently.

She chose to ignore the young one's nittering and focus on the man in front of her. Had the Harvesters gone through so much trouble? It wasn't as though Roka was going to end up dead tonight, or any other night - at least by her hand - surely her luck couldn't be so poor.

Roka leaned close to her ear and she let a hand fall to his knee.

"You can pay for my room, I certainly will not decline such an offer, but I would much rather share yours." Her hand lingered, her fingers squeezing gently just above his knee. The child was a mood-killer in every right, and she had to be eliminated from their conversation.

He cast his attention back to Seradell, a twinge of caution but not nearly sufficient. He cocked his head to the side his eyes squinted and a placid smile on his face that was almost never public. His face was flushed as he put his fingers over hers. He enjoyed the feel of her skin, icy or not, he felt searing and she was cooling him through and through. He let his hand to envelop hers and touch the contours of her soft palms.

He could feel himself liquefy. It had been far too long a journey, alone, and the reality of what he was born as called him to endure close to someone, he had to confess he found it more than challenging to resist, if not impossible when so inebriated.

"mmm..." Roka hummed happily and squeezed her delicate hand, "Seradelle...will you do me the honor of allowing me to hear you sing?" he virtually purred out. Roka when becoming attached found that he wanted nothing more than to touch and lay with the one he was attached to, and apparently this was true as well when alcohol was involved. He was struggling inside to resist. He didn't like that part of him, and wanted to wait it out, without driving her away; without feeling so helpless in the grip of any kind soul.

For a short time he just needed to appreciate the presence of more than just himself.
