Open for Adventure... and Companionship [Cade + Lyalya]

5 Spring 212 AV

Lyalya sat in the tavern, her hand clutching a half-full mug of ale. She was alone, her watery blue eyes scanning the people around her. If anyone tried anything, her sword was ready to slice them up. Having traveled alone for years, she knew you were never safe. A few man had eyed her curves that were easily seen with her low-cut dress, but intense was she held herself kept them from approaching. She was not the type to be charmed by weak-willed men. If they could handle her fire, she would be more than happy to teach them a thing or two.

With a look out the window at the chaotic populace, Lyalya ran her fingers through her long blonde hair. She hadn't been in Sunberth long, but it simply reeked with adventure and excitement. She loved the danger, it was almost sexy. With a smirk, she caught eyes with a large hulk of a man. Surprisingly, he didn't look away.

A city such as sunberth always needed its taverns, but since the djed storm the major drinking wholes were in the midst of repair and re construction. This makeshift tavern was made of large tents with tables and chairs. There always had to be a place where the denizens of this crushed city could release some steam and relax over a pint and this was such a place. Just as Cade frequented the pig's foot tavern, he was now a regular of tent cities major night spot and this night was no different as he entered through the tavern's flaps.

The beautiful svefran that sat by herself close to the make shift bar caught the mercenary's attention. He knew she was svefran as their eyes locked, her eyes were just as blue as his were the only difference was that Cade's body screamed of myrian genetics. It was his eyes that betrayed him as a half breed and his natural hate for his father's people would be noted if the subject of the myrians were ever brought up.

The berthian barbarian, confident in his stride, wasted no time in gaining ground on the svefran beauty. In his quick treck to her, Cade had examined intensely the curves she bore and liked all that he could see from this examination. He stood a pace from her, his body placing her in his shadow as he towered her at six foot five. He wore dark pants made from hide, his chest exposed to the environment with his chiselled torso visible with its many battle scars that littered the surface of his skin. There was also tattoos of skulls piling up from his right wrist, to those that know him each of those skulls signified a confirmed kill and the skulls were in the many, over 40. His longsword sheathed to his left hp and assorted daggers made up for the barbarian's daily arsenal that he moved about the city with. There was no doubt to any one at first glance that Cade was a warrior.

"Hello" The barbarian's voice broke that awkward silence " I am Cade, would you care to share table and converse over much needed ale?" He insisted with his deep toned myrian accent that crept from his wolfish lips. His intentions of socializing were true in his words, but his eyes ravaged her body, betraying his hidden intentions.

Lyalya smirked, the way his eyes were undressing her was not at all hidden. He knew what he wanted and he wasn't afraid to go after it. This man, Cade, was use to getting what he wanted. It was evident in his smug smile. On the other hand, why would someone deny him? Unless they wanted the romance and dance of courting, of course. Despite the fact that she was probably needing a bit of sexual attention just as much as he was, she didn't just hand it out. He would have to earn it first, and she certainly didn't mind the chase. Although, luckily for him she wasn't the most patient person around.

"Lyalya," She introduced, gesturing towards the simple chair in front of her. She attempted to avoid thinking about how all those well-placed muscles would feel against her body, and instead commented on the weather. How quant. "Sunberth was hit fairly hard by the storm, I had a bit of difficulty with it myself, I had to seek refuge in a cake about thirty miles west of here. I just arrived yesterday."

As her blue eyes assessed him, she decided he would make fine company. He was established and certainly had courage. Cade surely had a will to match her own. Lyalya leaned forward, propping herself up on her elbows.

Cade's wolfish grin turn to a smile as beauty before him mixed her words in obvious exhaustion or nervousness. " Well sweetheart, I hope you were the icing on the 'Cake'" He chuckled at her expense knowing full well she meant cave as he waved the bartender down. This may be a temporary location for the tavern but the surviving staff new exactly what he wanted. "Mead!" He barked for two horns of honey wine. "Nectar of the gods, Lyalya! for nothing beats the sweet taste of honey spirit wetting your tongue and filling your belly with fire and forgetting bad times."

A barmaid came with two horns of the wine, vanishing just as quickly as she came while making sure to add it to the half blood myrian's tab. He raised his horn in a slight salute to the beautiful creature he made company with before taking a quick sip of the honey wine to wet his appetite. His appetite hungered for more then just the taste of wine, for the svefran had caught his fancy and she seemed not to shy from his presence. It was a good start thus far for the barbaric warrior.

"May I ask what brought you to this cess pit?" A honest inquiry for not many made pilgrimage to the city of the damned, a lawless chunk of civilization that only the strong could survive. A place that Cade had called home for sixteen years and though he may call it a cess pit there was no other place he would rather be.

"I lived on the Suvan Sea up until a handful of years ago. I had to leave, there wasn't anything there for me. Sunberth reaks of adventure," she mused, her eyes glancing upwards as she thought. She brought the horn to her mouth and tasted the sweet wine as it washed down her throat. It was wonderful, what she needed just like he said. " I have a tendency to be hard to satisfy so my wanderlust has kept me on the move. I haven't found anything to keep me anywhere yet."

Lyalya's lips turned up into a small smirk of a smile, her pink lips almost revealing her teeth. He was actually making conversation, that was definitely a good sign. She even let down her guard a little, she highly doubted anyone would mess with her with this barbarian sitting right across from her.

"Ahh, a girl with eyes for the world" Cade awed as his own eyes dove deep into the ocean's of her hues. He was infatuated with her and it wasn't for lack of options even with the storm thinning out the herd. This woman had something about her that he could not put a finger on just yet and a mystery of a person was something Cade was always intrigued upon, especially when they came in the form of beautiful angels.

"Well then, lets see if we can find something that keeps you here" a soft grin formed from right side of his lip, his eyes rarely moving from hers. He took another long sip of his honey whine before continuing conversation "I run a crew of mercenaries out of this city..... maybe that line of work could excite you enough to keep you around?" He offered blindly not knowing her skills sides from her obvious natural abilities of beauty.

A band of mercenaries, sounds... exciting. She wasn't afraid of killing, she'd done it before. And Lyalya certainly had a violent and aggressive side, why not use it. Maybe being a part of a loyal group would give her a bit of pride and belonging into her life. "I like the sound of that. "

Men typically didn't see her as much of a threat, intimidating yes, but they had a tendency to be distracted her blue eyes and pure blonde hair. But she was not weak, she was raised rough housing with a bunch of young men. Lyalya could hold her own in a fight. However, she clearly stood no chance against this hulk of a barbarian in front of her based on skill alone. There was always the art of distraction and seduction... and it wasn't like wars were played fairly.

"That may just inspire me to stay," she smiled. It was a purpose, a goal. Something that didn't involve being weak and letting men trample all over her like her mother and sister let happen. Lyalya needed to be strong and capable. Maybe this was what she was meant to do. "I'm not surpassed you have your own crew of mercenaries." She added, again running her eyes over the glorious muscles that covered his body. Cade was definitely something to look at.

The barbarian was pleased to see that she was intrigued by his offer for he was more intrigued to see what she could bring to the table. Her body would be sufficient but there was more to this traveling beauty to meets the eye. In his joy the half blood myrian skulled the remains of his horn and slammed it to the table in celebration. " Excellent!" His words jolted not holding back his pleasure while waving to the barmaid to fill his horn again.

"What skills you have that I could employ?" The captain was blunt in his inquiry but it was knowledge he needed to know, for he be embarrassed to go back to his crew with a new recruit that he hired on just for her looks. Would not be surprising to his soldiers but he needed to rise above such judgement if he were to lead them successful.

"I'm competent with my gauntlet, but im quite willing to train hard," Lyalya smiled. She knew how to fight, she was very... ruthless from her 'training' with a particular zith years ago. Now that was a tricky time. "Ive killed many times, I won't hesitate. I may not look it, but i have very stubborn and determined tendendies."

Lyalya leaned back, her body away from the table. Her eyes were playful, the blue calling him in to be submerged in their watery depths. "I have other skills too, but i dont think you were asking about them..." Lyalya smirked, ruffeling her blonde hair. She knew how to hold her body just right that Cade could easily see the way her body dipped and curved. Would he take the bait? She had no doubts.

The barbarian smiled a wolfish grin as the beautiful svefran boasted her abilities of battle. Just as much as he wanted to test her ‘other’ abilities and talents he wanted to see her killer instincts and the half blood savage knows where to test such skill. The blood pits was now in his thoughts, since the storm the infamous arena of death would be more of a mud pit but even that thought made the idea that much more pleasing. She did say she was out for excitement.

Cade stood from his chair and moved towards the Lyalya, his eyes identical to hers did not break contact. His hand moved ever so gently towards her cheek lighting touching the soft skin. “ As much as i would love to test your natural talents.... I am just as interested in your skill in battle.” His hand moved away from her face leaving him slightly aroused. “ would you be my escort to the blood pits?” The wolfish grin transformed to a sadistic smile, ear to ear.
