(Pig's Foot Tavern) A Risky Gamble (Cade)

Shishi blew it! The man knew she hadn’t been with anyone. He quit kissing her and she felt like she wanted to replay the moment. She cursed herself mentally. Maybe she could still save herself. She thought about pulling him back into the kiss but she was stopped by his smile.

Cade asked her if she had been with a man before but it didn’t sound much like he was asking. Yeah, she was sure that he knew; somehow she gave herself away. The woman flushed there was no lying her way out of this one. She answered in an apologetic whisper. “No, I’m sorry. I messed it up.” The woman moved back a bit. For once she felt guilty; guilty that she teased him and guilty that now she couldn’t measure up. Her body just moved on its own and now reality hit her. He would probably leave her there. A tear made its way down her cheek.

Cade scrambled to his knees crawling to position himself behind her, wrapping his large arms around her in a warm embrace against the ocean's wind. The barbarian had no intensions of making Shishi uncomfortable with who she was nor did he want to make her to feel ashamed for what her body craved but her mind was not ready to take yet. This was different for the brute, for in the past he would of not cared, he would of taken what he wanted even if 'aggressive' persuasion was needed. Shishi on the other hand had the savage in her thrall, reasons Cade could not begin to understand but here he was........ being a gentle creature.

He held her tight as she sat between his legs, both of them starring off into the ocean, the low sun was beautiful being reflected off the water's service offering the two a scenery of art with a mesh of many colors. "Shishi, unfortunately i don't think you are getting rid of me that easily" He exclaimed, trying to lighten the mood as he brushed her long black hair off to the left side so his face would not be struck the locks blowing in the wind as he snuggled the side of his face against hers. Cade could feel that this girl was going to be a precious diamond to him, a creature of beauty that would need to be handled carefully, a skill the brute will have to learn if he was going to venture into the unknown of this girls mystic and figure the mystery of her thrall over him.

He then lowered his lips upon her neck, lightly kissing the soft skin up and down and his arms continued to hold her tight. He wanted reassure her of his words and maybe by his actions she will find that the barbarian found more then just a lay in her.

The man brought his body upright very quickly. The woman was convinced he was leaving her. She looked away. She couldn’t bare to watch him walk out of her life. Just moments the woman felt a surge of warmth and her heart skipped a beat. Cade’s arms were around her comforting her. The woman could feel his body against hers but the spark of lust dimmed for a moment. She knew this was difficult for the man and she appreciated his touch even more.

Shishi followed Cade’s gaze to the ocean. The water wouldn’t hit her now so she relaxed. Her eyes moved to the sun which was coming up. The woman loved the sun and she smiled at its arrival. Out of nowhere Cade told her she couldn’t get rid of him that easily in a jolly voice. Shishi burst out laughing. “Me get rid of you? Never” the woman spoke in between laughs. Cade rubbed his face against hers and she felt the roughness of his stubble. She turned and gently touched his lips with hers. The man moved his lips to her neck and kissed in a way that was affectionate rather than seductive. Shishi curled up and pressed against him. Her hand was still in pain but it didn’t matter. She was careful not to get any more blood on him.

The barbarian had forgotten the wound she had suffered, a spot of forgetfulness considering the situation. He plucked his lips off her neck and shoulder and lightly moved from behind her to examined her right hand. He shook his head in disappointment and looked straight into her gaze with a slight chuckle rumbling from his throat.

"My dear, you should of just let my head take the rocks on. If you haven't noticed all the scars already, i have been through worse. You on the other hand..... don't even look like you been bloodied since the day you were born." It was a bit odd for a sunberthian not to have some scars for living in this city was a sure test of survival and toughness. He didn't know that she was a kelvic and yet young......very young to this world.

Cade unwrapped the cloth from his right wrist exposing many skulls tattooed and piling from his wrist. He took the used fabric and wrapped it tightly around her hand to stop the bleeding and help protect the wound from further infection from the environment. " Thats the best I can do for you, but.... I do know someone that can have a closer look at that". With that he gave a quick kiss above the fabric before standing to his full height. He offered his hand to help her up. " Would you like to join me at my camp, I show you who the Crimson Edge are?"

Breaking the silence, Cade mentioned her wound. He thought she shouldn’t of protected his head. The woman found this kind of silly because if she didn’t put her hand in the way things would of ended badly. Besides that, she wanted to protect him. Cade also thought that Shishi had never had blood on her before. He was wrong, but Shishi wasn’t keen on correcting him. Everyone has their secrets.

Cade then unwrapped his wrist and revealed some skull tattoos. Shishi admired them for a moment while she wondered if they had a meaning. Cade then picked up her hand and wrapped up the wound. The woman thought of how she loved his touch as she watched her blood rapidly soak the cloth. Cade told her he knew someone who could look at the wound. The woman thought it would be fine, but she said ok anyway. The man kissed Shishi’s wrist and her heart skipped a beat. Her hearts been doing that a lot tonight. “Thank you” the woman whispered, touched by his kindness. She couldn’t believe that the man who had earlier slammed her into the wall, was now treating her so kindly. Shishi brought her gaze back to Cade’s and smiled.

Cade stood up and offered the woman his hand. He spoke of joining his camp and something called “The Crimson Edge” Shishi had never heard of the Crimson Edge but that didn’t really matter. She took his hand and he pulled her to her feet and nodded her head up and down in response. A new adventure and blossoming feelings were the result of her risky gamble.
