Kimi earns her name from knowing nothing at all about her life before the incident two years ago. She still retained basic memories like motor functions, reading and writing, and every now and then has flashes of things before her twenty second birthday, but not often. Kimi had no one to rely on after her memory loss, and her personality grew to be wild and ferocious, borderline beast-like. She was forced to support herself for two years in the harsh wilderness, having nothing but the tattered scraps of cloth left on her body when she awoke deep in the wilderness, and some kind of metal contraption that had blades on it. Every day was a battle for surviving, never knowing if her next meal would be her last, if something she ate would kill her, or if something would see her as its next meal instead. Her mentality became twisted and introverted, panic and fear giving way to an almost mental numbness over time. She had no contact with any other humans until she had found her way out of those woods, her only interaction being with the various animals of the forest.

Once she found herself back into society, she was then forced into an entirely different kind of jungle, and culture shock hit her hard. She found herself distanced by her peers because of her harsh and withdrawn personality, but she simply couldn't connect to those around her very well. All two years of her life that she could remember were nothing but a fight for survival, and the thought of having to depend on others or associate with others was new to her. Her ferocity also scared those around her, as even though her race wasn't exactly the most passive race in the world, she took their practices to an animalistic level.

She became even more withdrawn over time, but she learned in the process. To get what she needed to survive in this stone and metal jungle, she had to do things for others. If she did well, they would give her more. Diving into her work, she did anything and everything to get the weird little tokens known as Bikka's that she could trade in for things in the Market. As far as work was concerned, she was quiet, devoted, and did what was asked to the letter. Outside of work, it was anyone's guess how she would react or what she would do at any given time.

Everywhere she turned in Taloba, she saw families, relationships, children, people living out their lives with the people they were connected to, in one way or another. Kimi had none of these connections, and soon it began to drive every fiber in her being, the more she saw those around her. She yearned to know where she came from, and to have some other purpose in life other than just surviving day to day. She knows there is something important she has to remember, something she had to do, and until she finds out what it is, she will pursue it until death.

Kimi's known history starts in the middle of winter, 510 AV. The weather was blisteringly hot in the forest that day, as it was every day, but luckily she was in the back of a cave that had a spring bubbling in its recesses, trickling quietly into an unknown recess. She woke up knowing nothing of why she was there, or who she was. Thirst consumed her every fiber, and hunger to a lesser degree, and she was able to satisfy both in the warm cave. She was able to stave off the hunger and thirst with the water and bits of miniscule vegetation around it, and eventually found a bladed claw like weapon near where she had woken up, but had no idea what to do with it. The blades on it served as a makeshift knife, but she had no idea how to use it as an actual weapon, and actually made a sharpened stick to defend herself with instead of using it, since it was so awkward.

She tried her best to hunt what small creatures she could outside of the cave, and gather what she hoped was edible plants. She had no means of making a fire, so any meat she got was consumed raw. Every day was a struggle to survive, hoping that some small animal crossed her path, and that some large animal didn't. The only thing that saved her was that the entrance to the cave was small, barely large enough for her to fit through, much less some of the larger animals. Quite a few times she had been chased by them, narrowly escaping death by diving back into her natural hiding hole. Her sharpened stick was invaluable here, able to skewer anything that might have been small enough to fit in after her with a simple thrust.

Her mind began to slip from the constant fear and malnourishment, and she started hallucinating after a few months of this deadly lifestyle. She never found out if it was from eating something bad, or if the constant life on the edge caused her to snap, but she spent most of her time huddled in the back of the cave, various sparkling lights and fantastical creatures dancing around her every waking moment. Sometimes horrifying creatures would appear out of thin air, swinging horrible weapons at her, and she could swear they were so incredibly real. The detailed blood and gore dripping from their blades, the sweat and grime running down their bodies in thick rivulets, all of it disappeared after the incorporeal beings attacked her, leaving her unsure of what was real and what wasn't. After a few days in the cave, surviving on nothing but water, she could feel her strength giving out on her. She had to find something, anything to eat, or she would die soon. Managing to crawl out of the cave, she had hoped to find something growing that perhaps she had missed before, but the only thing she found was a giant black panther, sitting in front of her, staring down at her emaciated form with disgust. Giving up, she lay down on the ground and waited for death to take her, her eyes closing in surrender.

Kimi awoke in a strange wagon, and very nearly killed what she thought were demons from hell at the time. In fact, a band of hunters had been hunting that very panther for days, and had arrived just in time to kill it and find Kimi at the same time. It seemed Kimi's luck was holding out, except for one minor detail that she hadn't even thought of, since it was a concept new to her erased brain. She was happy just to find out there were other people like her, even if they looked a little different. Why would they save her, and take the effort to bring her out of the woods and revive her from the brink of death? The answer was simple. She was a Myrian, and Myrian slaves sold for quite a bit on the black market. In her confused state, she didn't even realize what was going on until it was too late, and after a long trip, she was bundled off towards her new home, sold to a nasty, dark man who always had his hood drawn over his face, his voice sounding like gravel crunching underfoot. Kimi's weapon from the forest followed her, as she had been bought as a fighting slave, and they hoped she might know how to use the claw weapon. Unfortunately for her newly appointed masters, they hadn't been told of her memory impairment, and when the slave drivers found out, they nearly beat her to death.

For awhile, they debated selling her to the pleasure markets, but she was too wiry and muscled for that. She had curves, but not enough to fetch a decent price. Added to the fact that she was also a Myrian, and they were in Alvadas, it would raise a lot of questions that they couldn't answer, being so close to Falyndar. Their only recourse was to throw her in the arena and at least try to make her death showy. Kimi was left to rot in a dungeon, her only companions being the rats and the darkness, and slowly, her mind began to slip again. Kimi slipped into her bestial mindset completely by the time they came to get her a week later, the guards horrified by the site of the dead rat carcasses scattered all over her cell. It had taken five of the guards to control the weakened woman, her rage causing her to fight relentlessly against her attackers. Grumbling and cursing at her, but not harming her as it would reflect badly on them should it get out that they had tried to rig a match, they carried her bodily between the five of them towards the arena.

It was mid-summer, for some festival or another in Taloba, and they portrayed Kimi as an escaped murderer, gone insane. Luckily for them, Kimi had completely lost her marbles, in fact crushed them underfoot and ground them into dust while howling manically. When they threw her into the arena, she crouched low and snarled at the cheering onlookers, slinking to the center of the ring on all fours like some predator from the wild. The attraction today was a special one, that most of the spectators were happy to see. After all, it wasn't often you saw a match between a huge, deadly panther and a Myrian female. Kimi would get her rematch with the large panther from the jungle, and no one doubted who would win. What came next shocked everyone in the arena, and many cried that foul play had to be involved. Unfortunately there was no way to prove it, as the huge panther mysteriously died as it was about to kill Kimi, and in her rage she wasted no time. Setting to work like a predator from the wild, she started to consume her prey, and before the surprised guards could react, get the heavy gates open, and get to the center of the arena, the corpse of the panther was mangled from Kimi's rage and whatever had been done to kill it mid-fight. Blood poured down her face as the crowd sat in stunned silence, the guards unsure of what to do. Nothing like this had ever happened before, and Kimi enjoyed a few moments of happiness as she gorged herself on the panther meat before her.

Eventually, a loud voice broke the silence and offered to buy her, surprising everyone there. Kimi was led out of the arena, struggling to get back to her feast, but placated with a full belly and not quite as much of a handful as before. Kimi spent the next year being 'retrained' to fit in with society, but all of her old distrust of humans as a whole and her inhibitions remain. Now she dives into her work, burying herself in it to use it as a means to keep her from getting close to people. Every day she trains her body and mind so that she can figure out what went wrong in her past, and how she ended up in that cave in the woods.
