Spring 14, 10 minutes before dawn, a hidden valley full of lumber two days walk from Sunberth.
Today's goal was simple: it was to get a sweat going and to do some solid work. Today's goal was twofold; gather some wood and train their bodies to become stronger and more powerful. The myrian had wanted to train for some time and this time he would invite all his comrades to the gambit. Together they could draw strength and inspiration from each other. It would be help the recruits learn some mental toughness. Today he would teach everyone how to overcome their own mind. They would learn how to draw on each other's strengths to overcome physical torture. Today people would start bonding. Today they would go through strife together in order to overcome physical and mental torture.
The half-blood leader hoped that everyone would grow together today, gain physical strength, and mental toughness. If not, then at the very least they would progress towards gaining power.
On a side note, Mok explained thoroughly to everyone he invited to the training. There was NO room for excuses. It was going to be tough, and the myrian was going to push them ALL to the limits of their physical capabilities. Hell, he would be doing the same himself. He would only take people that were one hundred percent certain they wanted to proceed. There would be no crying and whining. None tolerated.
It wasn't even dawn yet and the myrian sat at the top of the hill west of Sunberth. Next to his body were a dozen coils of ropes which he had picked up from the city the day before. With his trusty woodsman's ax next to him, Mok nibbled on some dry bread. Today was going to be tough and he wanted to have a good amount of energy before he started. He hoped that everyone brought their own food. If not, then they were probably going to pass out.
The first beams of sunlight pierced the heavens and began to softly illuminate the surroundings. The location was perfect; a rolling hill with a nice thick forested wall that divided the next hill. It was a miniature valley of good lumber. To top it all off, a stream went through the area as well. Mok couldn't have asked for a better spot.
Now he only waited for everyone to show up. They had camped about an hour away the night before. Now he would see how would truly wake up and meet up for their work. He wouldn't wait forever though. Once the sun was completely up he would start.
