A Night of all Nights[Cade, Carina, Shishi]

Postby Mok on March 31st, 2012, 8:55 pm

Spring 9, shortly after dusk, in front of the Pig's Foot Tavern, near a lighted pole.

"Alright boys let’s do this," Mok says. The bones in his right hand and Carina under his left arm, Mok was ready to do work, "Hell yeah motherpetcher lets do work you human pieces of shit."

"Yeah motherpetcher, let’s do it," the bald svefran said.

The other guy chimed in too, "One less shyte, one less shyte."

Mok openly laughed. He was already rolling even though it was so early in the night. He had drunken at least half a bottle of wine and he was floating now. Tonight he was in a happy mode. Do you know what makes Mok happy? Money. Cash was always in his mind. After living in Sunberth for almost a year he learned something real quick: money talks. He risked his life almost every day just to stay alive and eat well. He had made his living as an original thug. Mok robbed people, killed people, and gambled to make his dues. No matter though, he petching loved it. Money was always on his mind! Always. Even now as he relaxed with Carina he was ever shooting the dice, trying to come up. This was scene; a group of men and women from the Pig's Foot. They were mostly friendly, all regulars. The only thing they all had in common was the fact they were trying to come up like Mok. Men and women trying to get a fat meal tonight and a bigger bottle. Simple men and women.

"Let’s start damnit, I can't wait for you latrine urchins all night, I'm trying to play, let’s go, let’s go, let’s go."

"Oh what’s good with it you, you motherpetching G now? Huh?" Mok snapped.

The long haired beach bum cut in, slamming a gold mizah on the floor, "Time to play, one gold piece on the myrian's head. Who’s in?"

The crowd around them started the betting, there must have been at least fifteen of them there trying to get into the action. Everyone was betting, placing their money on the floor in front of everyone's eyes to see. There would be no cheating right now, at least not in the mind's eye. Mok started the first roll; it was time to get cracking.

Raised a closed fist to Carina's mouth Mok said, "Kiss it for good luck!"

1d6, 1d6=[5], [2]

"Petching yes! Carina you’re my luck! You’re my luck! Petching yes!" Mok screamed at the top of his lungs. There was a mix of both cheers and boos from the crowd that drowned out Mok a little.

Mok leaned in close to Carina's ear, "You’re amazing! Yes....kiss me again!" For a single second Mok locked eyes with her; Mok's smile was bright and happy, but he was just flirting with her. Raising his fist, he grinned wider and asked her to kiss the dice again. Mok turned and threw the dice on the floor,

1d6, 1d6=[6], [1]

Mok flipped, "Another petching win right off the bat! Carina your petching gold! HAHAHAHA! YES...MONEY! Who believes it now!" They had another mix response. Mok could feel the tides of change were slowly shifting the betting style around. He needed to win as many in a row as possible. That was the key.

While the gamblers made the next rounds bets, Mok leaned in close to Carina again, "Once more win and I'll help you out....yeah that’s right I am going to give ya something....I'll tell you when you help me win." Raising his fist up again he waited for Carina to kiss the dice.

A Night of all Nights[Cade, Carina, Shishi]

Postby Cade on March 31st, 2012, 10:07 pm

Cade walked side by side with Shishi, the beautiful woman that early that day moonstruck him and now he could not get enough of her slightly tanned skin, her long jet black hair and hazel eyes that he could swim in for many chimes and lets not forget....... her curves that the beast would gobble given half a chance. The barbarian held her in a tight embrace as they escaped from the beach. She sported a wounded right hand, a heroic sacrifice to save the barbarians head from cracking on the rocks as he took a tumble on the beach while trying to save her from the ocean waves. Ovek had struck again with his blasted cursed blessing and Cade swore if he met the fucker again he was going to gut him, he did not care if he was a god.

The passion the two shared on the beach was strong and Cade was not about to let Shishi go in fear of that raw emotion from dying, they were headed back to his camp on the outskirts of the slums but a better idea had struck as they came in range of the Pig's foot tavern. A familiar voice boomed from its open births, his kinsmen was having a jolly time from the sounds of it and Cade could not think of anything better then fine spirits and good company to cure wounds. That was the basis of his medical doctrine, booze, women and friends.

Was funny that the Pig's foot tavern was where he first set eyes on the beauty that day, where she had stolen his purse and made off with it. Cade found out after catching her it was all in game to catch his attention and now she had it one hundred percent. Now that he had his purse back and a gorgeous creature in his arms he thought it was best to get that horn of mead he tried for earlier.

Cade lead shishi back into the tavern and the first site that fell upon Cade was Mok and Carina playing at a game of dice and it seemed his cousin was doing fine for there were no bodies to collect off the floor just yet.

"MOK!!!!!" Cade bellowed deep from his gut "YOU UGLY SON OF A WHORE, COME DRINK WITH ME!!" he ordered more then demanded in their native tongue, myrian, that thundered through the tavern. The bartender attention was puzzled to find Cade embracing the very woman that had made off with the brute's purse........and she looked as if she belonged with him and not forced against her will.

Cade lead Shishi to a large table that could sport six patrons waving to Mok and Carina to drop what they were doing and join the beauty and the beast. He had also signaled the bar maid to bring wine and mead. This was going to be a night of nights as he made sure he shoveled his chair closer to Shishi. His crew would be very interested in seeing what he brought to the table for she be just as much as a mystery to them as she was to him.

His gaze fell upon her before her, with eyes that pleaded to take her there and then. " I would like you to meet my causin, Mok, the loudest oaf in this tavern and Carina, the beautiful girl on his arm who i thought had better taste" He teased lowly so that Shishi would only hear. " I hope you like wine or mead for we lots coming our way. If you are hungry, order and I will cover the cost".

His left hand ventured to her leg, he seemed not to be able to go with out her touch, she had captivated him in all ways and now he could barely contain himself.

A Night of all Nights[Cade, Carina, Shishi]

Postby Shishi on March 31st, 2012, 11:24 pm

A cold breeze blew Shishi’s hair up. The woman shuddered and moved closer to Cade. The warm touch of the man’s arm protected her from the cold that she hated so much. Sometimes she wished she could walk as a lioness because her fur warmed her, but she didn’t want to reveal herself as a Kelvic. She didn’t like how her race was viewed and the discrimination they faced. Being thought of as a human was to her benefit and the darkness of the night aided in hiding her prominent golden hazel eyes.
The path the pair walked seemed familiar but Shishi never paid much attention to where she was going. That’s what made every day of her life a gamble. Not knowing where you are going is a gamble and the woman was addicted to gambling. Cade guided Shishi to an old building. Wait the woman knew this building.

They stepped foot into the Pig’s Foot Tavern. They had made a scene in here not long before when Shishi stole Cade’s coins. It was still old, damp, and smelled like mildew. The woman crinkled her nose for a moment. This was going to be fun. At least she was with Cade.

Shishi walked with Cade to the back of the tavern. It was crowded and loud, two things that the woman didn’t care for. Was it bad that Shishi was thinking of what she could steal? Suddenly Cade bellowed a man’s name and the woman gave a little jump. The woman recovered herself quickly and Cade led her towards a man and a woman. She guessed they were his friends.

Shishi looked at Cade for direction as he introduced the man as his cousin Mok and the woman as the beautiful Carina. Shishi didn’t like Cade calling her beautiful for some reason, but she would never say anything. Cade said she could get whatever she wanted and he would pay for her. It was like a date and the woman had never been on a date. She blushed and nodded although she didn’t want him paying. She could steal whatever he wanted.

Her attention wandered the man she knew as Mok and the “beautiful” Carina were gambling. Well to be more precise Mok was gambling and Carina was watching and not making herself useful by stealing something. The woman’s eyes lit up as she watched the dice. She loved to gamble. Shishi looked to Mok’s dark eyes and smiled. She wanted to play this game of dice. Then Cade ran his hand over her leg and a spark ignited. She caught his hand and her own, turned to him and smiled. She wasn’t sure if the man knew how distracting his touch could be.

A Night of all Nights[Cade, Carina, Shishi]

Postby Carina on April 1st, 2012, 6:18 am

Carina sat comfortably next to Mok, who had his arm around her, as she witnessed her first up-close game of dice. She had never tried her luck at gambling before, and wasn't sure she wanted to yet. Even now the rules hadn't been explained to her, so she watched and tried to understand what all was involved. At first only finding that an exchange or words meant egg each other on and persuade them into placing bets, big or small, was the first step. Or that's what she thought at least. Feeling that now, with all the excitement, it would not be a good time to ask questions, lest it pass with her words. She was still having trouble understanding the draw of the game; preferring to be in control of her situation, rather then leaving it to chance. But hey, at least the group seemed to be having a good time. Especially Mok, as he and the others continued exchanging heated words and insults. All in good fun of course. Glancing at Mok from the corner of her eyes, she tried to contain her amusement in his excited state. A chuckle trying to force its way through her lips, but she held it in this time.

Things really started getting interesting when the bets started flying; the atmosphere changing slightly from one of merriment, to one that seemed more competitive. Even through the participants display of jovial attitude. What came next was unexpected to say the least. Mok's closed fist was inches from her face, and for a split second a rare expression of confusions crossed her features. Disappearing almost as fast as it came when Mok told her to kiss his hand for luck. At first the notion that her kiss would bring him luck only made her chuckle, humoring him for the fun of it. But then, to her surprise, he kept rolling what she guessed were lucky numbers; judging from how energetic he was becoming with each toss of the dice. Then she heard it, Mok asking her to kiss him, not his fist. And she was keen to do it too, but before she could, another closed fist was presented, elating a sweet laugh and a nudge from her shoulder at his playful plea. His energy was rubbing off on her; finding that she too was getting a bit excited over the whole ordeal. Evident in the arm that reached behind Mok's back when she pulled him a bit closer in an excited squeeze.
"Alright Mok! Woohoo!" Then her voice was lost when she felt him lean into her and whisper of a surprise she might get if he won. Honestly, the hush of his voice made her stomach flutter a bit; the offer intriguing her. For a moment she wondered just what it was, and hoped he would win; if only to see what this mysterious gift was. Then smiling just before kissing his closed fist once more. Though it seemed Mok's game of dice would be cut short when Cade, and another girl she had never met, came strolling up to the tavern. He called out to them, beckoning for them to join the two for a drink and probably conversation. As long as one of the barmaids didn't upset Cade, things would remain pleasant for everybody. And answering the call, she stood in time with Mok, but she wondered if he would be disappointed in the sudden ending of his fun game of dice.

It was typical for her long time friend, and past lover, to be seen with many different woman at his arm, so she never paid the floozies much mind. Unless they happened to be part of the Crimson Edge as she was. Then she thought it was only right to be, at the very least, civil with them. His most recent escort was a rather scrawny looking though, not the usual busty whore. But even that didn't surprise her; finding over the years that her friend wasn't too picky. As long as they had a sheath for his longsword, he was as happy as a clam.

Eventually joining Cade and the girl in the tavern, she took the seat opposite the pair and waited for Mok to find his seat before diving into conversation. Introductions were needed it seemed. Her eyes drifting from the girl with jet black hair to the behemoth that sat next to her.
"Oh Cade, it looks like you've found yourself another playmate." Smiling as she spoke, her words were all in good fun. Believing that Cade could find the humor in her words. Then without waiting for his comeback, her eyes shifted back to the girl. Leaning forward in her chair, supple breasts perched on the edge of the table. Resting an elbow on its surface, her head rested in the palm of a hand while her other arm extended out to the girl in a friendly gesture. "Carina. Pleasures all mine, I'm sure." While she was trying to be pleasant, she still wasn't sure what to think of the girl, or if she even liked her.

A Night of all Nights[Cade, Carina, Shishi]

Postby Mok on April 1st, 2012, 10:40 am

Mok cast the dice.

1d6, 1d6=[5], [2]

Another hit. Perfect. It was certain now, Carina was Mok's good luck charm. They had won three times in a row on the first roll, "We won again Carina! You did it! Petching yes! HAHAHA!...motherpetcher..." The myrian had to think of something to give her now. To be honest he just said it to entertain the girl, but he wouldn't go back on his word, he just had to figure out what it was first. Maybe he would give HER a kiss instead. He knew that the seductress would like that. Maybe he would buy her something. She would probably like that too, but he didn't want to spend money on gift. He would hold off for a moment and buy his time.

"Alright Carina, my gift is a surprise, I'll show you it later," Mok whispered into her ear as he collected his earnings from the round. Before she could respond though a voice bellowed through the scene getting the myrian's attention. As usual it was Cade, using only the most endearing of greetings.

Mok responded over his shoulder, his mind still on the game at hand, "CADE! What’s good with it motherpetcher, I'll be there in a minute!" The myrian turned to Carina, "Hey go meet up with Cade, I'll be right there."

Now it was time for the myrian to finish the game as quick as possible. He didn't want to keep his pals waiting, but now was not the time to think about that. All that mattered was winning right now. The bets were made and Mok cast the dice.

1d6, 1d6=[3], [6]

The crowd cheered! Talk about confirmation upon confirmation. The myrian burst into laughter as he picked up the dice again. The moment he sent Carina away, the one hit streaks finished. Mok couldn't think about that now, he needed to focus on his rolling technique. He needed to come out of this round with a win.

"Damnit, fuck these cheap ass dice!" Mok yelped when he crapped out. Tossing the bones aside, the gambler paid his dues and collected his earnings then returned to the tavern.

Mok was grinning ear to ear when he sat down at the table. The excited myrian sat next to Carina and wrapped his arm around her. Before Mok could say a word, Cade introduced his daily whore. This was new... Cade usually didn't even acknowledge the whores of his harem. Hell, Mok had seen the barbarian slice a tavern wench just for sneezing in his direction. The myrian knew that something was up.

Mok burst into muffled laughter as he tried to cover up the fact that he thought it was humorous. Cade had a petching crush and it was funny as hell. The myrian didn't realize that Cade had a softer side. Mok quickly stopped his chuckling and retorted quickly, "Looks like you really are half human Cade!" The half blood would not jest about it anymore though and quickly lost interest in his jest.

Turning towards the new girl, the myrian checked her out. She was about a head shorter than him and had nice golden skin. Her skin was beautiful, however she had several slight imperfections and sun marks. Of course they weren't too obvious, but Mok sensed that she worked under the sun frequently; she was different than the usual females in Sunberth. Another thing that tipped Mok off was her age. She looked young, very young. Definitely younger than Mok and Cade. This was new to the myrian, he usually liked going after the older women, but this girl was strikingly attractive.

Mok turned his head towards Carina. Immediately, Mok smiled. He didn't know why, but his grin was wide. Carina was different. She was a grown ass woman, she was older and mature. She was a different type of beauty. She was fierce and he had proven herself to Mok already. The myrian couldn't get caught comparing them so his mind went straight back to the conversation.

"Always a pleasure," the myrian said locking eyes with the new girl. Her gaze was intense and fierce, but differently than Carina's. It was different. Her eyes were golden. That was strange for sure. This made Mok think, but he continued the conversation as usual,

"Looks like Carina here is my good luck charm," Mok moved his arm from her shoulder to around her waist and squeezed, "Rolled a seven three times in a row, all thanks to her! Shyte, I'll have to bet the Crimson's coffers next time Carina is shootin' wit' me. Come up big you feel me? yup...can't wait."

The conversation continued for a minute then the myrian changed the subject, "What is good in life, woman of cade?"

A Night of all Nights[Cade, Carina, Shishi]

Postby Cade on April 2nd, 2012, 8:08 am

The barbarian had a Cheshire grin formed on his face as Carina and Mok took notice of the gorgeous creature he had brought with him. Though it was not a cocky smirk that signalled he was guaranteed a lay. No this was grin of happiness and pride, he had found a girl to strike his fancy and she had not yet to open her legs to do so. Cade had taken special note to the icy tone Carina had taken with shishi. He and Carina had once been lovers and it was understandable that she would press upon the new girl. They were more territorial then men.

“The day has been good, Cousin! I find myself with beautiful escort and great company and wine and mead to fill our spirits with joy and you will keep your grubby mitts of the coffers you greedy bastard“ He replied to Mok giving Carina a glare that silently signalled Be Nice.

The barmaid brought a bottle of wine and a bottle of mead. The barbarian quickly filled his cup and Shishi’s with the honey wine, he wanted to see if she had the taste of the nectar of the gods, or he hoped she did for mead was his favourite and it would be of good omen that the girl he had fancy for enjoyed such pleasures of the mead. “ Mok, Carina this is Shishi.....Shishi this is Mok and Carina” With that he placed a full mug in front of her before taking a long gulp of his own giving Shishi to speak on her own behalf while hand nested upon her leg once more.

A Night of all Nights[Cade, Carina, Shishi]

Postby Shishi on April 2nd, 2012, 7:05 pm

Shishi sat slightly uncomfortably and awkwardly in her chair. There were so many people around and this made the woman feel smothered. A thief never liked to be too close to a large group. There were so many watching eyes and it made work difficult. Her gaze was focused on Mok for a moment. If she focused on one single person she could ignore the fact that so many were around her.

Her gaze broke and traveled to the woman she knew as Carina as she addressed Cade. The woman called Shishi another playmate. “Another playmate” those words bothered Shishi especially in the tone that they were spoken in. Carina was smiling at Shishi, but it was not one of those “I am happy to meet you smiles” It was a smile that said “I’m better then you and you’re a joke.” It was a taunting smile as if this mysterious woman knew something that she did not. Shishi felt that something about this woman was off. This woman did not like her and Shishi couldn’t imagine why.

Carina extended her hand with the same irritating fake smile on her face. Shishi held her gaze, hazel eyes with a harsh edge to them. “I’m Shishi nice to meet you.” The woman spoke. Half of this statement was a lie, but that was the statement that she was taught to use when meeting another. Shishi did not try to fake a smile and she did not shake her hand.

Mok was there to pull Shishi from this awkward interaction. He caught her gaze to signal her attention. He told Shishi that it was a pleasure to meet her and unlike Carina’s statement, his seemed genuine. This man’s voice was kind and calming. Slightly more at ease, Shishi smiled at the man and replied “It’s nice to meet you as well.” This statement was not a lie.
Shishi then listened to the conversation. Mok was talking about gambling which Shishi loved so much. He must of shared the same adrenaline rush that she had when gambling. He called Carina his good luck charm and placed his arm around her, but Shishi thought that if your gamble wasn’t going your way that you could make your own luck. Carina was not needed. The pair seemed to be mates. But if this was true then why would this mysterious woman have a problem with her?

Mok suddenly through Shishi into the conversation as he asked her what was good in life. The woman thought of gambling, stealing, and the man who sat beside her, but Cade answered first. Cade called her beautiful and good company. She looked at him with a slight hint of pink on her cheeks and smiled. Cade was looking at Carina and Shishi couldn’t quite comprehend the expression on his face.

Shishi’s attention moved as she sensed another presence near the table. It ended up being a one of the girls who worked here and she set some drinks on the table. Cade set a class in front of her and himself and poured some liquid into them. Shishi smiled and said thank you to him. A man had never bought her anything before and it made her feel special. Cade put his hand on her leg and took a large gulp of his drink. Her heart rate sped up a bit.

The woman picked up her own drink and an awful scent hit her. She wasn’t trying to smell it, but she couldn’t help it. Drinking it faster than Cade must be the challenge. The game was on for Shishi. The woman brought the glass to her lips and drained it. The liquid was kind of sweet, but it burned down her throat. Her ears felt warm, but she was winning the game. She set the glass down and smiled as she answered Mok. “I met Cade which is good and gambling makes life exciting. I love to gamble.” The feeling you get from stealing things was good too, but that wasn’t exactly something one told another. Shishi smiled at the group.

A Night of all Nights[Cade, Carina, Shishi]

Postby Carina on April 7th, 2012, 9:42 am

After a few moments had passed and Shishi had yet to accept the 'kind' gesture of an extended hand, a smirk replaced her smile. There were so many things she could say at that very moment. Words that would surely rouse the girl, maybe even anger her, but she wasn't blind. The subtle glance Cade had given her spoke volumes. It seemed he wasn't in the mood to put up with her jabs and subtle attacks. And she was in no hurry to turn this friendly gathering into one that everybody would regret.

Retreating her hand, she leaned back in her chair, folding her arms. She still smiled though, and it was still as fake as before. Clenching her jaw, it would have been obvious to somebody who payed attention to detail, that Carina was biting her tongue; holding back some cruel words. She guessed they would only earn her irritated glares from Cade who seemed to be enthralled in his newest wench.

That's when Mok finally arrived and took the seat next to her. Felling his strong arm wrap lovingly around her as he jumped into the conversation. And soon amusement took over the both of them, the idea of Cade having a crush on somebody elating chuckles that the two struggled to keep at bay. As quickly as it had come, it left though, and the subject was changed. In the transition, Carina had failed to notice the warm smile Mok gave her, her focus fixed on the pair in front of her for the moment. But when he exalted her as his luck charm, she turned her head slightly to glance at him. The dazzle of a genuine smile blossoming over her features suddenly. When his arm fell from her shoulders, to her waist, she leaned into him comfortably and golden tresses fell like a waterfall over his arm. Then she joined in the banter with a loud yet sweet voice, hinted with humor.
"Finally you realize it! Maybe you'll keep me around now! Ending her words with a bit of a chortle. That's when the barmaid arrived, drinks in hand. Carina passed on the offer though; not particularly interested in sharing a drink with a stranger at the table. Especially one that she found to be unsavory at the moment. While on the contrary, Cade seemed eager to drink and be merry, enjoying the company fully. At the moment, the only company she was enjoying, was that of Mok and Cades. Still trying to figure out the new girl.

When Mok asked Shishi a question, Carinas ears perked, interested to hear what she might say. And as she had expected, her reply was rather disappointing, a mere two short sentences. Was Cade and gambling really the only things going on in the girls life? If so, it was rather pitiful.
"Usually people don't use the words 'good' or 'meeting' in the same sentence when talking about my dear friend, Cade. I'm surprised you found him in a pleasant mood. Why don't you share just how you two met then, hm?" Managing to poke fun at Cade this time instead of the girl he defended, while still seeming to be vaguely pleasant.

A Night of all Nights[Cade, Carina, Shishi]

Postby Mok on April 12th, 2012, 6:43 pm

Low key though, Mok was observant to the tension that was building up between Shishi and Carina. The myrian was never any good at reading female's minds though. Sometimes women had a skewed sense of logic and reasoning, which made absolutely no sense to the myrian. Usually, he would just shrug it off. Mok had ninety-nine other problems and he wasn't about to make a bitch one of them. Drama this, gossip that; the half-blood wasn't about that "she heard, he heard" bullshit. If drama ever came up between Shishi and Carina, Mok would try his hardest to remove himself from the situation.

Carina's last words were full of venomous sting. Not out in the open though, but just from her tone of voice. Raising an eyebrow towards Cade, Mok passed a dark liquid to the seductress. Maybe if Carina was a little tipsier she wouldn't bark as hard towards Shishi. The myrian didn't want anyone to fight. It would lead to a hassle for everyone. It’s not like he was worrying though. If women start fighting the party continues no matter what. If the men start fighting though, the party gets crashed. So in the end it was okay if a little steam was let out.

"Shiit, what do you know about gambling Shishi?" Mok laughed in response to the girl's words, "What do you say Cade? Want to have a strip tease with the girls eh? Some strip dice?"

Other than the playful joke, the myrian didn't have much else to say yet. Producing his container of pulp and his pipe, Mok beckoned the waitress to bring him some timber. Removing some of the ground up herb from the box, Mok packed the pipe full of it. Smoking the plant was one of the more mild ways to enjoy the product. Unlike other methods, smoking it produced a numbing sensation throughout the whole body and stimulated the mind. Lighting the pipe, the myrian took a hit of the pulp and placed it down on the table. Holding his breath in for as long as he could before exhaling, he motioned for anyone who so pleased to smoke.

Then Mok wrapped his arm around Carina's warm torso again, gently squeezing her.
