Mok ran like Myri herself was chasing him. He didn't let up for one moment at all. The last thing he needed was for Shishi to catch him. If that happened, his whole plan would be ruined and he wouldn't be able to introduce her to his world. Not the world of pain, darkness, and moral terror. No, he would not show her his evil side just yet. Instead, Mok was trying to show her what it meant to be Crimson. Maybe, if she was willing, the loyal gangster could impress her into understanding what he mean. If he was lucky, he might change her mind as well. Although he was barely getting to know the kelvic, he felt that no one should feel the need to hide their heritage on account of others. People who had a problem with him being myrian would pay the price, no matter what the cost.
Looking over his shoulder periodically, Mok could see that the young woman was slowly catching up to him. By now both of them were glistening with sweat. The myrian couldn't help noticing her breasts flopping up and down with each stride. Grinning ear to ear, he couldn't help thinking about her body. It wasn't Mok's fault though. Except for Carina and one or two others, there weren't many beautiful women in sunberth. Most of them looked like a pig shitted on them at birth and it just stuck.
Now they where within sight of the cliff now. He knew that the lioness had no idea what was going on either. By the look on her face, he knew that she was just enthralled with catching him. The myrian was getting tired too, so he decided to slow his pace down. That was a mistake, because the woman burst forward with speed and pounced like a big cat jumping on it's dinner. Fortunately for the half-blood, she was not in her animal form. Planting with his left foot and cutting to the right, Mok not only changed the pursuit angles but he managed to escape her grasp. On top of that, he was only a stone's throw away from the cliff that overlooked the ocean.
The cool thing about this spot was that from their viewpoint there was absolutely no way to see the ocean. In fact, from the angle it looked like a normal cliff with a normal rounded edge. Death and rocks the only thing waiting at the bottom. Mok knew different though.
Suddenly, the myrian stopped as rapidly as possible about forty yards from the edge. The tattoed kelvic's face lit up with excitement, or at least that's how Mok understood it. Waiting for the very last moment, the half-blood was planning on spinning out of the way so that she would fall on the floor. He had the uttermost confidence that he would dodge her.
Shishi was no idiot though. She knew how to hunt. Trying to tackle someone without breaking down and resetting would never ever work. So she slowed down too and waited infront of Mok. It was the final showdown.
Although out of breath, Mok pointed behind his back at the blue sky, "Look at the blue sky Shishi! Marval at it! Bask in it's glory! Watch as the white clouds pass by indifferent to the struggles of men and women and kelvics too! Feel the wind in your hair!? Feel the grass under your feet!? Then ask yourself: AM I A KELVIC? And if the answer is yes, follow me!"
And with that the myrian turned around, sprinted to the edge of the cliff, and jumped off feet first...
