Hey!

Look, my mod name is gray! So it was initially my plan to just retire and let it all rest, but I realize now that it would be incredibly rude – especially after seeing Anchor’s post in the Suvan OOC.

I’m not going to divulge the exact reason as to why I impulsively retired because that would be impolite. I do want to apologize for any trouble I’ve caused anyone though, especially to Anchor and to anyone I was supposed to do things for (such as reply to, grade, start threads for, etc). I know I haven’t been the best DS these past few months. I’ve been in and out of the doctor’s office and the hospital since the New Year, and the new job has also been killing me—and because of this I had been neglecting my duties on most weeks. Honestly, my retirement took me by surprise as well, so to anyone affected, please accept my sincerest apologies… because that’s all I can really offer to you.

Okay, so one thing I can say is that I can be both impulsive and passionate. I like walking away because otherwise I approach situations with the wrong energy. Even if I think I’m doing it for the right reasons, I don’t execute well. That’s why I like taking breathers – but this time I didn’t take one. I just went ahead and refused to walk away. I did take a breather before writing this though, so this post is a lot calmer than what some have seen of me lately. I know I hurt some people and I do feel bad for that. I do feel like I’ve said what I needed to say to them, and vice versa.

It’s been a fun year as an ST. I say YEAR because it really has been a year… I was surprised to realize that too. I registered on the first of April and resigned on the last days of March. Woah. Thank you to everyone who made it worthwhile! Awww, emotions!

I hope that you and Nira can grow close again and you stay close to us on the site. I think you made the right decision and I see why you did. I would have done the same in your position. Now you can focus on your characters and RL more. It's a great opportunity.

Of course the abruptness was rude, but Anchor and the Suvan will recover. It's better than disappearing without going grey, after all. Now at least we know there is a place to fill.

The muse just isn’t coming back. Hopefully it will soon. I knooow, I know, I owe a bunch of people posts.

I’ll be out of town for a while. Specifically, we’re taking a trip to Seattle and Alaska. Taiwan too, but only for a very short time. I will see you all when I see you.
