The giant continued his talk advocating non-violence, his every word rubbing Casper's skin the wrong way. Had the man ever looked in a mirror? Maybe if he didn't carry battleaxes around with him, his propaganda would have been slightly more believable. He also had a very bad sense of humor, and if Casper had smiled at all, it was a smile of condescension. For a brief moment, he actually did wish someone would make a move. It was a similar feeling to when someone looks over the edge of a cliff, and feels an urge to jump just to see if they could survive.

He kept quiet and motionless, letting the Chameleon woman speak instead. She clearly was no damsel in distress, or at least didn't act like one. Then again, no one survived in Sunberth very long playing the role of a fragile woman. And she spoke about these anonymous 'friends' with such confidence that he actually did want to avoid crossing them. Not that he had any intentions of harming her anyway, at least not until she addressed him.

Her tone was playful, but suggesting that he would die by default should a fight arise pricked at his nerves. His eyes flared for a moment before he regained his composure, remembering that he did not want to draw his sword as the risk of death was indeed imminent. He relaxed slightly, and took a step back, as though preparing to walk away. He wouldn't turn his back until Cain had done so, and maybe even the horned lady. She was not to be trusted either, no matter how beautiful she might be.

"Ssparring with ssomeone you just met, m'lady?" he said with a teasing smile, "that would be an interessting ssight. I hope it won't be sso awkward as today. As for me," his gaze turned back to look into Cain's eyes, a look that dared him to either strike or walk away."I'll die another day."

Enough games. Xi drooped his arms back into the cover of his cloak. His mood now getting a little darker, not though his choice but theirs. It seemed to Xi that all the woman was doing was provoking the situation through every thing she said. Pointing out how tens the situation was and trying to prickle the other man's pride into attacking. Throwing oil on the fire, turning a tense situation into a powder keg. She was trying to ignite the issues. Xi looked down at her as she spoke. claiming that he could kill the pair of them, and that if she died her 'associates' would hunt him down and try to kill him. He had enough people after him it wasn't like he needed more. Then the dainty lightly smile hit him like a sack of hammers, and she said he was playing innocent? He smiled. Not light, not happy but a sardonic and almost unimpressed smile.
"the look at it from that perspective. If i could kill you without the use of my weapons. Then i would have already if i had any intention or inclination too." A tundra of icy wasteland appeared in his eyes as he analysed her not her body but her words. "you're the one whose pouring oil onto the fire. The fist one of us to reach for a weapon was you. The first one to claim that i could kill both you and out male friend her was you. Now the first one making threats is also you. From any perspective your actually pouring oil onto a camp fire. Trying to blow this all out of proportion. I won't rise to the provocation." Xi could hear cas talking as he finished claiming that he would rather die another day. Well if this woman wasn't a manipulator then she was quite effortlessly intimidating cass. Far through to the point where he was actually thinking he may loose his head. Xi sighed and tilted his head beneath his hood. Xi let his eyes show beneath his hood the deep black blue frozen orbs.

Xi then felt the gaze of cas upon him. Xi turned his gaze across to the the willing almost dareing gaze of cast but Xi caught his eyes with his own. The deep black blue stare of hollow emotion. Xi had nothing to prove. Nor would he prove anything to a manipulator and a passerby.

"Miss Chamaeleon was it? Why are you so insistent that i'm going to attack you? Perhaps your trying to justify attacking me? After all i'm not the one who has been trying to ignite the situation." Xi looked at her through cold flat eyes. No emotion, no trace of any thing towards her or cas. With not a second thought he stepped back a step.
"If your going to follow me feel free my training area is deeper in the forest. not too far but out of sight." Turning slightly away from them he kept his ears open as he began to walk off.

"What I am doing, Cain, isn't so much threatening you as it is ensuring you know the outcome if you should try to harm me. That's all." A polite, if condescending smile, flickered across her lips. She made sure to stay loose, if guarded, when that behemoth of a man bulked himself up and scowled at her. Was he honestly threatening her now, still?

Chamaeleon spread her arms as though to signify she was helpless, or confused even, as to why Cain had the gall to continue to insinuate her as the bad guy in this situation. Cain's glare was even more disturbing than his attempt to shuck off the intimidation factor his appearance alone offered. There was no feeling in his eyes and that was troubling in itself. She liked to see feelings in the eyes of others.

"Spar, with you? What, do you intend to beat to death without the courtesy of calling it a real fight? Oh, that's low, but I'll bite. Lead on, Cain." She shrugged at Casper as she passed him by, following that massive man. How they were going to actually spar was a mystery to her. A whip against axes was hardly a fair fight. Probably it would be unarmed fighting. Hopefully it would be unarmed fighting.
