Aurum held her breath Raise the bid. Someone! Please. If someone didn't she was going to be dead. They would blame the loss of money on her flight. Something about looking too free. She had heard it all before. She didn't think that was what was wrong. Slave stand were all so dirty. It was a wonder people came at all. "Going once... Come on people. Imagine having this fierce huntress obey your every command." Please... Maybe the man himself would raise the bid. "Going twice and sold to the man in the black robes. Please go to the Chains with the number 23985. Next up we have..." The man's voice faded away as she flew off stage. As soon as she was out of sight of the crowd, she changed and was grabbed roughly and her hands were tied behind her back. She was pushed to a large pole and her hands were tied above her head. On her wrist was the number 23985.

She was not standing there for more than a minute when a large muscular man walked up. And he was mad. "One hundred dollars? You are such a waste of money, food and time. I know you have a pea sized brain so I'll say this slowly. You..." He emphased every word by hitting her. She just took them knowing reacting would only make things worse. " Only... Do... What... You... Are... Told... Or... You... Will... Never... Live... To... See... Another..."

Kelvic on the slave stand, waiting for a master (open)

Postby Marcus Ahysen on May 3rd, 2012, 6:59 pm

Marcus was quite pleased. He'd just purchased himself a fine slave for a bargain price. She was clearly worth at least three times what he'd paid, but being a member of the Black Sun did have it's benefits. If he had just been Marcus Ahysen, the son of a painter, he likely would have ended up paying much more, assuming he could even afford to win the bidding at all. But Marcus, Agent of the Black Sun, intimidated people and they didn't want to bid against him. Sometimes it made life a little boring, but when that happened he just pretended to be someone else. This time his station worked well to his advantage.

Marcus quickly memorized the number and made his way through the crowd. People didn't part quite as quickly for him as they had before, considering he was in the thick of it and they didn't have anywhere they could go to get out of his way, so it took him a few chimes to catch up with his slave. When he did, his jaw dropped slightly. A large muscular man was standing in front of the kelvic scolding her and beating her. Beating her. Beating his property! Marcus quickly moved forward, clearing his throat as he did so.

"Ahem!"

When the man finally turned his attentions on Marcus the agent was able to better look him over. Had he been dressed any other way, Marcus might have been intimdated, but not in his robes of black with the symbol of his god proudly displayed on his chest.

"Lay one more hand on my property and I will have you beaten one hundred times for every bruise I find on her body. You're lucky I don't demand a discount for damaged goods. Now, are you going to get out of my way and let me have my property, or must I resort to calling on the Stryfe?"

"No, sir. Sorry, sir." the man mumurmed as he stumbled out of the way. Aurum glanced up slightly at the exchanged, then quickly looked back down after the owner of the stand stepped aside. This man who bought her was someone of a high rank, this she could tell. She wasn't as stupid as the stand owner made her out to be. Her former master had taught her to read and write. The man had her almost since she was born. She had spent a month with her mother before she was sold off. The man died at the age of 78 and she had wept. He had been like a father to her. She didn't know anything else until she was brought to the Stand. She had been beaten when she first arrived because she was late. The carriage had lost a wheel and she had to go find it before they could start going again. The loss of the wheel was the fault of the driver because he ran ove r a very large rock. She got beat twice as hard for stepping out of line when she said so. Apperently, slaves do not speak unless spoken to. She had not known that rule. She had always said what she thought when she was with her previous master. He always would answer her kindly. Aurum blinked back the mist forming at her eyes and contiued to look down. Slaves do not look into their master's eyes unless told to do so. This was something else she learned at the Stand.

Marcus memorized the man's face in his mind, intent on returning at a later time to punish him, despite his willingness to move out of the way. One simply did not beat a slave that had already been purchased, not without the permission of its owner. Marcus reached into his robes, pulling out a few bags of coin and tossing them to the man before he left.

"Here is your gold. And the key?"

Marcus waited for the man to accept the mizas and hand him the key to Aurum's chains before he dismissed him. After the man was gone Marcus approached his new slave, reaching a hand out to cusp her chin and lift her face so that he could examine it. He was not gentle, per se, but he certainly wasn't rough with her as he looked over her body, inspecting the bruises and determining the extend of the damage the man had inflicted on her. His tenderness was more out of nervousness than true concern for her wellbeing, however.

Marcus was not unfamiliar with slaves. His family hadn't been so poor that they didn't own any, but as an adult Marcus had never actually owned one himself. It felt a little strange, but Marcus did his best not to show it. She was fairly attractive and he couldn't help but let a few dirty thoughts slip into his mind. This woman had to do whatever he said.. but did Marcus really want to sleep with a slave? Did other masters do that? He was sure they did. ...more likely he would wait before he ordered to do anything like that, however. He had to be sure she was clean, and competent, and worth keeping.

"Do you feel like you have any lasting damage? Did he break anything?"

While he waited for the answer Marcus let her hands back down in front of her. He didn't remove the chains, he just removed her from the pole. Motioning for her to come along, he led her back through the crowd. It must have looked a little strange, leading a naked woman by the chain through the streets of Ravok, but she was a slave, it wasn't like she came with a full wardrobe. Not that he was overly concerned, nobody would stop to question them, and it was obvious she was a newly acquired slave.

He knew where he was going. While Marcus certainly enjoyed his slave's nudity, it wouldn't do to have her undressed all the time. She needed clothing, and not just any clothing, but clothing that would show her off to the world. They went to the one place he knew could do the job, Azure Reflections, his favorite clothing store. Upon entry they were both greeted by its owner, Alira Wickham.

"Marcus! Splendid to see you again. And who is this with you? Oh my, did you purchase yourself a new plaything?"

"Yes," Marcus responded with a bit of a chuckle, "Just got her today. I need an outfit for her. Something classy, but that still shows off her figure. And she's a kelvic, so it shouldn't be something too restricting. If I want her to shift I don't want to have to wait all day for her to undress."

OOCFeel free to NPC Alira and pick out an outfit. I am terrible at describing clothes, so hopefully you can do better. We'll figure out a price after you've detailed what it looks like.

Aurum, still quieted by the beating and her savior who just happened to be her new owner, simply shook her head. She had had worse beatings. He didn't break anything and the bruises were nothing that time wouldn't heal. She followed quietly keeping to her thoughts. What kind of master are you? What will be your first order? Where are we going? She was full of questions but spoke none of them. She didn't feel like getting another beating today. Finally curiosity got the best of her judgement. She barely whispered a single question.

"Where are we going, sir?"

She held her breath waiting to feel the hand come down on her. As she waited for his answer she followed him into a shop and watched the interaction between the two people. The red haired girl smiled when she saw her master. Then she realized something. She didn't know this man's name, and he owned her.
OOCShould i message her or should we get her to come on here? That would be better i think. If she has time

OOCAlira is an NPC (Non-Player Character) which means we can control her ourselves.

"Well, let’s have a look at her then," Alira said as she walked a circle around Aurum. "She is certainly a pretty girl. I think I have just the thing for her!"

Alira ran off leaving Marcus and his new slave alone together once more. The agent stood awkwardly for a moment trying not to stare at the naked kelvic beside him, even though he knew he was fully allowed to do so considering she belong to him. But he had been raised with manners, even if he was a ladies’ man, and he preferred to seduce his women, not have them served to him on a platter to be enjoyed without all the fun of earning them. There were a few awkward moments of silence before finally Alira came running back, an elegant black dress cradled in her arms.

"Here, let me take her and we'll get her made up for you."

Aurum was dragged by the arm as Alira led her to the nearest dressing room, removing her chains and helping her into the fine garment. It had a dramatic v-neck with a fitted waist to help define the figure. From the waist the skirt gradually flowed down into a full shape inspired of dancing. The rear of the dress was backless and featured a v-shape just over the buttocks. It was made of fine material that was silky to the touch, clearly an expensive garment to say the least. After she was dressed Aurum was positioned before a mirror so she could see herself.

"So? What do you think? Should we go show it to your master now?"

Aurum felt the unconfortable quiet settle over them as Alira went off to look for something. She felt like she should say something... All of a sudden Alira was back, not a moment too soon, and saved her from akward conversation. She was pulled away and hustled into a dressing room. There, she was thrown into the most beautiful dress she had ever laid eyes on, not to mention put on. Sure, her former master was nice and all, but he dressed her in common apperal, since he was not rich. She felt like this new chapter of her life would be different. She looked in the mirror and was shocked. Who was this beautiful girl standing before her? She smiled at the thought, knowing it was her. Her hair, however was something else entirlly. It was so messed, that she felt like she couldn't wear stuck a dress like that.

As if reading her mind Alira seemed to notice. "Oh, we can't have your hair looking like that, now can we?" She ordered Aurum to remove the dress and wait for her in the dressing room while she dashed outside to tell her master that it would be a bit longer. When Alira hurried back in, she dragged Aurum through another door and into a house taht was connected to the shop. She led Aurum into the bathroom and washed her roughly, removing dirt to reveal pearly skin that gleamed. Then Alira gently brushed her hair free of knots and curled it slightly with a warmed fire poker, though the ash had been cleared away. Then she led Aurum back into the dressing room and dressed her in the black gown once more. Now Aurum felt like she was deserving of the dress. She slipped on a pair of black velvet slippers and walked outside.
OOCAnd you said you were bad at describing clothing!

Kelvic on the slave stand, waiting for a master (open)

Postby Marcus Ahysen on May 11th, 2012, 11:13 pm

OOCThat description came only after reading the descriptions of about 20 other dresses on random websites

Marcus waited patiently for Alira to finish her work. He knew the woman would do a good job. Among the many places to shop in Ravok, Azure Reflections was one of his favorites. Alira was beautiful, smart, and wasn't afraid to speak her mind. And she was good at what she did. Few of the other shopkeepers in Ravok could claim all of those qualities.

He didn't question when Alira told him it would be a bit longer. He wasn't paying all those Mizas for nothing, he wanted his slave to be a prize other Ravokians could be jealous of. Marcus was highly devoted to Rhysol, and to the Black Sun, but he still wanted to make a name for the Ahysen family. They were artists, only one of which held any sort of fame, and even he was only known in select circles. Marcus wanted more for his family. He wanted power, he wanted to stand as tall as the Nitrozians. He would lead his family there, bringing glory and power to them and the Black Sun. ..at least, that was the plan.

Finally Alira returned with the slave girl. Except that she no longer appeared to be a slave. Aurum was stunning with her black dress and hair done. Gone was the grit and grime of the slave stand, and before him stood a woman worthy of being in his company.

"Excellent job, Alira. She looks absolutely stunning!"

Marcus walked a quick circle around the woman, examining her from all side. Every angle was as good as the last, and Marcus knew she would be worth every miza. Speaking of which, the agent reached into his robes and pulled out his coin purse.

"How much will it be, Alira?"

"Well, let's see. The dress is twenty, and a silver for the slippers. The makeover is two gold mizas, so that's twenty-two gold mizas, and one silver."

Marcus nodded and counted out the coins, "Let's just make it twenty-five. Keep the change." Marcus handed over the coin, thanked Alira for all her help, and then took Aurum outside.

"Well, my dear," Marcus said once they were out the door, "Now that you are properly attired, would you like to see your new home? Oh, and my name is Marcus, Marcus Ahysen. A slave should know her master's name, right? ..should I know.. erm.. I mean. And what is your name? You do have one, right?"

Kelvic on the slave stand, waiting for a master (open)

Postby Aurum on May 14th, 2012, 11:27 pm

She felt like she was on the stand agian, the way he watched her, as though looking for invisable flaws. Then the man turned away to talk Mizas ith Alira. Aurum watched their exchange with intrest. She hadn't really taken care of the money in her former life and wondered if she would need to in this one. She knew there was ten silver mizas was worth one gold and ten copper was worth one silver. Beyond that, she was clueless. She was defentitaly open to learning. Soon, she found her self following Marcus out of the shop, just a step behind. She smiled inwardly at his stumble of words, but knew to smile outright would be a disaster. She would be hit at least.

"My given name is Aurum, though my old master called me Sharp Eye. Whatever you call me will be fine."

The dust rose with each step and settled on her dress. She gently padded the dust off and hurried to catch up with Marcus. He seemed like a gentle man, but looks can be deceiving, and she deciced to play it safe. Do exactly what the owner says and you probably won't be hit. She just hoped she would be able to fly a few times a day. This dress was beautiful, but she thought her feathers fit her better. The breeze blew, playing at her will power. Then she suddenly saw something out of the corner of her eye. It was a man that was trying to be stealty. She saw something glint. A small knife. Not a good sign. She glanced at Marcus, but he didn't seem to notice. She should say something.

"Um, sir?"

OOCReally? Well its pretty good.

"Aurum or Sharp Eye? I think I like Aurum better. Sharp Eye sounds so.. lower class."

Marcus shrugged and continued on his way, leading Aurum through the noble district which he knew by heart. Though his family wasn't the wealthiest or well known, they still had enough Mizas that he had grown up on the finer side of town. Marcus knew his way around the Noble District like it was the back of his hand. Of course they were only going home, and he'd better at least know the way home, but he knew which turns to take to get them there the quickest, and which turns to take for the scenic route. Generally Marcus preferred the scenic route, and this instance was no different. He wanted to show off his new slave.

If Marcus noticed the man stalking them he didn't show it. In truth, he had no idea there was anyone around but the two of them at that moment. They were in one of the less populated areas of the district, but even so, Marcus did not think to be on guard. Few people were foolish enough to try to rob one of the Black Sun. Though they weren't fighters, they had authority over the Ebonstrfye, and many of them knew magic. Not to mention the gnosis which all members of the Black Sun had. Marcus had never used his gnosis in self defense, but he knew it could be powerful when it needed to be.

Marcus didn't notice the man, and so they just kept walking and the man got closer and closer until Aurum spotted him and worked up the nerve to tell her master. Marcus stopped and turned when she spoke, raising an eyebrow. She sounded nervous, though he couldn't imagine what she had to be nervous about. Unless maybe she was nervous about their new home. Yes, that was probably it. Had to be.

"What is it, my dear? Nervous about seeing your new home? I assure you it's much nicer than the cages they kept you in on the Stand."
