[Location]The Spring Base Camp

A Safe Haven from the Djed Storm of 512 AV

Built high in the massive branches of Taldera's bloodwood forest, The Spires is a city crafted by the peaceful and scholarly Jamoura. Considered a haven for scholars and sages Mizahar-wide, The Spires is a mecca of philosophy and science that draws people from far and wide with its promise of deeper thinking and higher reasoning.

Shortly after the Djed Storm of 512 AV, several residents of The Spires fled the city, some on instinct, others realizing that something was severely wrong. They fled for several bells, finally settling upon an area above the Wild Djed-laden mist's influence. The small group quickly went to work rigging together rudimentary structures from fallen trees and branches. The basic village came together quickly and became know as the Base Camp. From this location, Marn would govern what was left of his people, send out sorties into the city to try to capture more members of the city, and help his people survive yet another disaster.

The Base Camp is a hodgepodge of small buildings clustered together in the smaller forests up the mountain. The amenities that outsiders are used to are now gone. All food must be scavenged or hunted. Injuries can turn deadly due to the lack of healers. Water comes from a nearby stream, fed by a medium sized lake further up the mountain and is thankfully untainted by the effects of the Djed Storm. There is no economy active here. If you need something here, and someone has it or can make it, then it is done, for the good of everyone's survival.

The law of The Spires applies to the Base Camp as well, however, enforcing it is much more difficult since less than half of the Hahk'Shatara escaped the city. Outside of camp, the nature rules and anything goes. Within the camp no one is to steal from or harm another resident. The Jamoura have long memories and will apply the Judgments when they are useable once more. The Hahk'Shatara and Marn share equal power and judgment during this time. However, when Marn goes missing, the Hahk'Shatara will take full control.

After The Spires was retaken in the Summer of 512 AV, The Base Camp became manned by only a few individuals, and is rarely used. The Hahk'Shatara maintain a very, very light presence here, and the Memorium is talking of having the entire facility decommissioned.
