Ronar Bolbek Physical Description Race: Human Age: 27 Birthday: Season of Spring, Day 62, 485 AV 5'9" Lean build, though not particularly muscular slightly tanned skin Piercing, dark eyes Shoulder length, greasy black hair Slight stubble A scar on the left of his forehead above his thick eyebrows Character Concept Personality Personality wise, Ronar is a curious case. His experience as a child of being lost in Alvadas changed him. there is no doubt about that. A young child should be happy and care free, whereas Ronar was macabre and depressive. As he aged though, Ronar's self seclusion and odd ways of thought developed into a very 'manic' way of treating people and himself. The experience in Alvadas had wormed its way into Ronar's brain and had twisted his thoughts into a game of sorts. Too put it bluntly, Ronar had turned into a madman. He was obsessive over this 'game' of his until it became reality to him. He treated everyone he met as a fellow player, as an adversary in the game. Thus he became very edgy with people. Seeing life as a game, Ronar would often try to outsmart his 'opponents' and from his young age planned far ahead. He was meticulous in planning and wished for things to go exactly as he had planned them to. If they did not, he got violent, murderous even. But these events where few and far between, and in the time between them, Ronar was patient and kept calm. In his trip to Alvadas, he also seemed to pick up a taste for theatrics. When Ronar feels that he is winning in his game, he will taunt his adversary, string them along for a while with false hopes, or he will play games with them before finally crushing them at whatever it is he is doing. When Ronar has a plan put together, he will stick to it. Even if that means bending a couple of the rules... Ethics Ronar sees all existence as a game. He seeks to be above the level of normal being, to be above a level of control. He wishes to play with the lives of others. He will do anything necessary for his plans to work out how he intended Likes Revels in others discomfort and takes joy in ending life Controlling others Watching a person 'dig there own grave' Theatricality and illusion Games Dislikes Authority Petty crime incompetency Character History Pre-creation Ronar was lost in Alvadas for a day when he was young. This scarred him a great amount, as being lost in a city full of illusion and trickery would do to any child. The experience planted a seed of thought in his mind and caused him to lose many of his morals. Being a child, he accepted this as the norm and after calming down after the event, carried on his life. As he grew though, the seed of thought from being lost in the city of illusions grew into a full blown belief that this world is merely a game to be played and the people in it pieces of the game, much like a long game of chess. He considers that this 'knowledge' he possesses makes him an extremely powerful person, almost godlike in his own eyes. However, best the theatrics and mind tricks, he is just a mad man with a knife. Growing up had been difficult for Ronar. For a while he had felt that there was something not quite right. That something was out of place in his life. He had no motivation to do anything and was becoming a waste of space. That is, until he was pushed back over the edge, and back into the world of madness which he so rightly belonged in. At the age of 25, Ronar was beginning to crack. his parents were not happy in the position he was in at the moment. They had a family home in Syliras, him, his parents and a younger brother,Dorak, who was at the age of 8 all lived together. His parents pushed him to try his hand in fighting and becoming a knight, so Ronar decided he would give it a try and at least find work somewhere. He was turned down by anyone he went to about work because he was simply not knight material. He was not honourable, nor particularly brave. He could not win a fight without resorting to dirty tactics and the people turning him down simply didn't trust him with an administration job. Many said he was just devious and sly. This put stress on the family which led to his father hitting him and shaming him in front of people. One day came when Ronar decided to hit him back. All the anger and resentment that had built up inside of him through years of subduing his truly manic side where finally brought out. This resulted in Ronar losing control and hitting his father too hard across the bridge of the nose with a heavy iron rod near the sight of the fight. He died instantly from the blunt trauma. His younger brother ran to the guard as his mother tried to hold Ronar back from following the child to stop him. Ronar clubbed her with the rod to leave her bleeding on the floor. He grabbed some essentials and took his father's Gladius from a display case near the door. He knew that life on his own would be rough so he would need protection. With the guard alerted and on their way, he fled from the house and left the city with a group of merchants on their way to Alvadas. He 'hitchhiked' his way across the Suvan sea to Alvadas on a small trade boat with said merchants. He worked for his keep on the boat and then made his way to the gaping maw. He saw fit that the place that damaged him so, should be the place where Ronar becomes a man. He believes now that he is free and that he may now do as he sees fit. But is this freedom a by-product of the madness he received from Alvadas? Having already killed, Ronar felt that he had freed himself from control, but is beginning to develop a taste for the controlling of others. Life is but a game to be played, after all.
