Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

A Run into the Backside[Rykanis][Flashback]

Postby Dallisetria on April 21st, 2012, 3:47 am

On a winter 81th, year 511, Dallisetria was in her beast form, her shortbow, arrows, clothes, and shoes were sitting to the side while she chased a mouse around an alley. "Come on, little mousey. Come ooon, little mouse. I just want to eat you," she wailed, her stomach growling. She did not want to change back into a human, as it would just make her tireder, and hungrier. She leaped at it, it squeaked, and then it started running. Darting every which way, Dallisetria found it hard to keep track. But with her large, golden eyes, she did. She growled, and then lunged, once again. She missed. She screamed out in rage. How could she miss so many times!? She started going into rage fits, jumping at it every which way, crying out in frustration every time it missed. Finally, on one lucky leap when it had stopped a moment for breath, she landed on it's tail, her claw sinking in, nailing it to the ground. She grinned as it cried, panting. She bent down and bit into it's neck, and shook angrily, and happily. In a fulfilled manner, of course. She dropped it, just so she could look down on it with such satisfactory that she could just... she didn't know what she could "just" do. She bent down, her hindquarters in the air, and began to eat the poor thing.

A Run into the Backside[Rykanis]

Postby Rykanis Dakshata on April 21st, 2012, 4:14 am

Rykanis had simply been going for a walk, trying to decide were to go... He could head home, and get some rest, or go and get a drink... Really it was his choice, so why not? He had nothing else to do today.

He had simply been minding his own business, when he saw a large cat like thing sitting in the alley, digging into the flesh of a large plump rat. He simply looked at it and smiled, knowing better than to interrupt its meal.

"Hi there kitty, did you catch yourself dinner? Good job, keep all these vermin out of here."

Of course seeing cats in Riverfall was quite common, so many people had them as pets, along with the wild ones, that all together, it was a lot. What he always wondered was how there were so many rats and mice in Riverfall, with all of these cats to eat them?

He took a pace or so around the little cat thing, careful to stay clear of were it might swipe its claws at him, or try and pounce on his feet. Let it enjoy its food.

That is until he went by, to see a pile of clothes and a bow sitting off a bit... Was there someone running around naked? Or had someone been attacked? What was with the stuff sitting like that?

Taking out one of his lakan, Rykanis looked around, trying to find the culprit. He reached down, and carefully picked up the bow, to look it over for any details it might give, before turning to the cat, and quietly speaking to it.

"What about you kitty, did you see who left these? Is there anyone around?"

A Run into the Backside[Rykanis]

Postby Dallisetria on April 21st, 2012, 4:28 am

Dallisetria looked up and purred. She liked the name Kitty. She wished others were nicer when they saw her eating. Since she was done with her mouse anyway, she sat down and looked up at him, her head cocked in a manner of wonderment. She had seen many others, around here, with the same looking skin as this male had, and yet she had never learned their calling.

Even though she wanted to stay an ocelot for longer, this male was nice, and she wasn't going to exactly leave him hanging. She wasn't exactly happy with his touching her bow, though. Her fur bristled at the thought of him taking it, looking for it's owner, and she just could not stand the thought. So, she turned back into a human in just a moment or so, and stood up. She walked towards the male, and then started to put on her clothes.

After fully clothing herself, she took her shortbow and arrows. This was all done without saying a word, until she tightened the latches that held the bow and arrows on her back, and then held out her hand. "These are mine, thank you," she said quietly. But then she grinned. "And if they weren't, I probably wouldn't tell you that anyway. But rest assured, this stuff is all mine. I mean, seriously. Where would you meet a Kelvic that would leave their stuff unattended while they changed?" she paused. "Actually, I haven't met another- sorry. Just running my mouth like we've met before." she smiled more shyly, now. "I'm Dallisetria. But Kitty seemed nice."

A Run into the Backside[Rykanis][Flashback]

Postby Rykanis Dakshata on April 21st, 2012, 4:58 am

Rykanis smiled upon hearing the cat purring, it was such a cute cat sound that they made. Perhaps she was not actually a cat, she was a bit large to be one of the ones he saw around... But he tended to bunch all of those cat like things into cats. It was easier that way.

As he had been talking though, looking right at the cat, suddenly it was gone, and in its place stood a naked woman. He took a moment to take her form in, she was relatively attractive, though a bit on the short and petite side. At least when compared to an akalaka, who towered over her. He could not help were his gaze lingered, as she was naked, and a grown woman more or less...

Of course he knew of kelvics, they were well known in this city, he even knew a few that were bonded to warriors. Though they were still rare enough that they were not all that often seen. The akalak, Rykanis included, did not really see kelvic's as sentient beings, and rightly so. They were more animal.

As she walked toward him, he wondered what she was doing, until she began picking up and putting on the clothes. So this was her stuff? He then recalled he still had his lakan out, and so put it back in his sheath.

Once she was dressed, she took back her bow from him, and grinned. He reached over, to try and scratch her behind the ear, as he always did to cute little cats, and grinned back at her.

"I did not know it was a kelvics, I had no way of knowing. But I am sure it is your stuff, and if it was not, you would have still told me it was yours. So that does not really leave you anywhere does it? Though does who owns it really matter that much in this instance?"

Rykanis smiled at the kelvic, not sure if she had gotten everything he had said. He had to careful with how he said things to them, as often things went right over there heads.

"Hello Dallisetria. You are a good little kitty aren't you? Did you enjoy your meal?"

A Run into the Backside[Rykanis][Flashback]

Postby Dallisetria on April 21st, 2012, 5:24 am

Her eyes turned bright when he scratched her behind the ear, and she nearly melted. "Considering everything you just said, no, it does not really matter. Unless you were worried about whether or not I was, in fact, the real owner of these clothes, this bow, these arrows." she wanted to just slip onto the ground, when he scratched her ear it felt so good...

She pulled her head from his hand a moment so she could nod. "Yeah, I enjoyed my meal real well." she grinned again. She wasn't going to answer the question about being a good kitty, for she wasn't sure if he really wanted her to say anything to that, or not. She was about to, but... she may sound stupid. Sounding stupid was not a goal, although oftentimes, she did sound it.

"What are you doing here? Just walking?" she said in a high-sort of pitched voice, grabbing his hand and pulling it back to her ear, as if asking, can you scratch it again? Can you? Please? She held his hand there, waiting for him to do something. To respond, to scratch her ear, to walk away in disgust that she changed forms in front of him...

The kelvic seemed rather pliant, as she clearly enjoyed his scratching. She almost seemed to regret having to pull away for a moment to nod, though she quickly grabbed his hand and pulled it back to her head, clearly saying she did not want him to stop.

He simply grinned and gave a deep chested chuckle, and continued scratching her behind the ear as she so clearly liked, this time a little harder, though not so hard as to hurt her.

"I don't often see little kitties walking around on two legs like this. Though I have to say, you are quite the pretty little kitty..."

He smiled at her, not making it clear what his motives for saying that was, humoring her, belittling her? Or was he actually complimenting her? It was hard to say by his tone and expression.

"And yes one does generally walk on streets. I was just trying to decide what to do, to head home, or maybe get a drink, or maybe even enjoy a park. Then I saw you, and you caught my attention. "

He tried to think, was there perhaps anything he should consider here? If she had a master, it might be rude to go off with her... Best not to step on anyone's toes... The easiest way seemed to simply ask if she had anything to do, which should say hopefully if she had to be somewhere, or had a master expecting her.

"What about you? What were you going to do once you finished your dinner? Did you have somewhere you needed to, or planned to be?"

A Run into the Backside[Rykanis][Flashback]

Postby Dallisetria on April 21st, 2012, 6:07 pm

She blinked, and then thought about it. She didn't really know anyone, this was the first person she'd actually spoken to. She shrugged. "No, no place in particular. Just gonna wander around, is all. It's what I usually do to pass the time away. I usually go to a park after this, and climb a tree, chase a bird, practice my shortbow." she didn't mean to let her eyes close at the touch of his hand, but they did. If she were in her ocelot form, at the moment, she was sure she'd be purring.

"You don't have any place in particular to go to, either? You were just thinking about where to go, and then you saw me..?" she was basically just echoing what he had said earlier, as she didn't know what she was supposed to say. She paused for a moment, thinking everything over. "You think I'm pretty?" she opened her eyes, her wide, golden eyes. They seem to sparkle at the compliment, and she didn't quite catch the tone in his voice. Just what he said, was all that made it through her head.

She looked over at his hand, and licked it slightly. Her rough tongue only went a slight ways when she caught the taste in her mouth, and she jerked away slightly. She was about to say, "You taste funny," but she didn't. That would be rude. So instead she said, "You're nice."

A Run into the Backside[Rykanis][Flashback]

Postby Rykanis Dakshata on April 21st, 2012, 10:30 pm

It seemed the kelvic was both un-bonded, and unowned. Or at least he inferred that, from the facts she had replied with. If she had no were to go or to be, then surely she had no master? He felt it was safe to assume so.

He gave her a smile as she spoke of her usual pattern, and replied to her, taking on a voice that was a bit joking, as he continued to stratch her behind the ear, which she was REALLY enjoying.

"Now now, that is very naughty kitty. You don't go using bows in the city. You might hit someone, and it is against the rules. You don't want to get in trouble, do you kitty?"

He smiled at her as she simply said again what he had said, so often kelvics were such simple creatures...

She suddenly opened her eyes at his compliment, and he could tell it pleased her. Most of the cats he had met were usually quite fickle, and loved the way they looked, often preening and trying to look there best. So he supposed a cat kelvic would like hearing that she was pretty.

He was about to respond to her question, apparently wanting to verify he had indeed called her pretty, or maybe just wanting to hear him say it again... When she suddenly licked his hand a bit. It felt rather rough, and certainly was not overly wet like a dogs, and left no real saliva.

It was his turn he guessed to be complimented, as she simply said that he was "nice". He wondered though what exactly she meant by it, as it was rather vague.

"Thank you... And yes, I said you are a very pretty kitty... Would you perhaps like to go somewhere? We could go to the park like you were planning, if that is what you want... Or we could go somewhere else..."

A Run into the Backside[Rykanis][Flashback]

Postby Dallisetria on April 21st, 2012, 11:11 pm

At the offers, she merely shrugged. "Whatever you'd prefer is fine. I don't really mind what we do, I wasn't really planning on anything." she paused. "Like I said before." now, she took the time to look at his appearance, other than just his skin color- which still intrigued her, even though she'd seem many with the same color. His black hair, even though his skin was dark, too, contrasted greatly. His eyes were... different. A lot different than hers, which were the only other eyes she'd bothered to look at. She yawned, which she found odd, because she wasn't very tired anymore.

She looked at his size, now. He was much bigger than her, and his build was very defined. His face was a shaved one, at that. She grinned, inspecting his features further. His lips were of much different color than her own. "And," she paused, losing track of what she was about to say. After a moment, she smiled. She'd remembered. "I wasn't planning on going to the park. It was just, sometimes, someplace I go." she playfully punched his stomach, which was hard. Like, hard. She hadn't expected it, and for a moment, her hand hurt. "Ow," she mumbled. It was high pitched, more on the downside. She almost laughed at herself, but she didn't.

If she were an ocelot at the moment, her ears would have flicked curiously. He had repeated himself once, too. "And yes, I said you were a very pretty kitty", he had said. She looked questioningly up at him, her head tilted to the side.

Rykanis simply smiled, as she playfully punched his chest. It was not meant to hurt him, certainly not enough force to do that. But if she was going to punch him, he could do something also, and withdrew his hand, stopping scratching her behind the ear.

"Well, I suppose we could do something... I see you were hunting that animal... But do you have any skill with fighting as a person? It is always good to be able to use a blade or something."

"How about we go to the training dojo? I could show you to use a dagger or some other small thing. Never know when such a thing is useful. And they have practice weapons there."

Rykanis smiled at her. if she agreed, he would take her along to Kendoka Sasaran, let her pick out a practice wooden weapon. he himself would use a wooden lakan, which was mainly only used by akalak. He would steer her more towards the daggers and shortswords and such.
