Spring 90th, 512 AV Lixue had made a discovery. Zandelia, a patient with a sleeping disorder, had helped in the process. On the 87th of Spring, Zandelia had approached Lixue for insomnia and wanted a remedy. The two had become acquaintances and experiments were completed with a Sleeping Egg. During this, Lixue's mind had wandered. She began to think about new things, or blending objects to help patients at the Injury Ward. Perhaps even with the capturing. The sleeping egg's liquid was mixed with water and filled a needle. The injection had proved to be more effective than the eating the sleeping egg, or having the egg explode. Lixue, after the instance with Zandelia, had tested the theory on a Jamoura. Instead of the regular four bells, the Jamoura was asleep for nearly eight. Lixue estimated it would double the down time for a human, also. Calculating, Lixue figured the more water you mixed and the less orange liquid, the shorter the effect time. The same went on the opposite end of the spectrum. Lixue sought out Centroc, the Eypharian merchant man. He sold capturing supplies and Lixue figured this item would be extremely helpful. The eggs were very fragile and often broke before one could even approach the city. It was extremely dangerous to be close enough to throw the egg at the Jamoura. The feral creature could run away, or attack. Besides just that fact, the thrower had to aim precisely and hope to not be seen. With the needle, one could sneak up on the Jamoura, or shoot threw a blowgun. If the individual was caught in a net, it would be extremely possible to simply stab the needle in and inject the serum. As the liquid would be directly injected into the veins and below the skin, the reaction time was cut in more than half. To put the Jamoura to sleep, it took less than two chimes. With her, she had brought a vial full of the orange liquid, one empty needle, one sleeping egg, water, and a dart. The items were in her backpack. She hoped to show Centroc how to work the items and sell them to him. Though uncertain of the price, she would haggle to receive a higher pay. This idea was one nobody had thought of yet and one that would change how people captured feral Jamoura. Centroc's supply shop was a wagon. Humongous, even by Jamoura standards, it held a wide variety of goods. Apparently, he had been all over Mizahar and nearly anything one sought could be found. Centroc supplied those who wished to capture Jamoura with a pack. Inside of it he had placed a slugsuckle snare, a slugsuckle net, a punch signal, a stinger spear, and four sleep eggs. All that would be needed if one wished to capture Jamoura. Approaching the place, Lixue was greeted by Centroc himself. He was tanned and had a grizzly mustache and stubble. A scarf was looped around his neck, another on his head. The man was taller than Lixue herself, who stood at a petite height of four feet nine. She tried to not feel intimidated as she met his eyes coolly. "I have something you might be interested in buying," Lixue informed him, voice blunt and professional. All emotion was void. No, Lixue would not give him an opportunity to use her emotions against her, or to twist her to his will. "This will impact how Feral Jamouras are captured." Just enough to catch his attention. |
