Physical Description

Human: Sari is short, about 5 feet 2 inches. She is very skinny, weighing about 125 lbs. She has large, watery blue eyes, and a snub nose. Her hair is very long and thick, and almost never has a tangle, as she cleans and brushes it often when in this form. Her hair is a dark brown that looks near black at the base of her hair, and it lightens to a mid brown around her head. She has a couple of pale gray speckles here and there, but she is not old. Her round face makes her look barely 16, which she is, maturity-wise. She has rather small ears, but they are usually covered with her hair, which she always has long. (Cannot change into this form currently)

Otter: Sari is smaller than most other otters, about 3 feet 6 inches if you incude her little tail. As with most otters, she is skinny, about 35 lbs. She has dark, almost black, fur that lightens to a mid brown around her head, throat, and chest. It is very thick and long. She has pale gray speckles here and there, and large watery blue eyes. She has a pale pink ribbon around her throat, and it is rather tight. When she swallows it hurts, so she doesn't eat as much as she is supposed to, which made her small. Other than that she looks like any other otter you might see, though her eyes freak out most fisherman, because they say it looks like she's a human, listening to their conversation.

Character Concept

As both human and otter, Sari is friendly, though she is somewhat guarded as a human, for most humans think that she is dumb. She is actually quite smart, but cannot read or write. She can sing quite well though, but hasn't in a while. She views reading and writing as something done by either those with too much time on their hands or very smart. She is inwardly a little jealous she never learned, but thinks going to a school would be time-consuming and boring. She is very playful in both forms.
She snores a little in both forms, though it's really more like a whistle. She is carefree and happy, except when people treat her badly. However, she is a little naive about some things. When it comes to her survival though, she knows her buisness. She would never abandon a friend though. She is quite stubborn, and a bit optimistic. She is also very impressionable, and learns quickly.
 Also, she likes to collect pretty objects from the bottom of the sea, and sometimes makes jewelry or trinkets out of them. She can hold her breath for up to five minutes, either form, though rarely stays down for more than four. Also, Sari is scared of horses, and when away from the sea and saltwater she gets antsy and nervous. She likes to catch her own meals, and not burden others.

Character History

Sari was born with no father, as he'd left much before she'd been born, and lived on a small boat docked at a city she never learned the name of. Sari spent most of her days as an otter. She grew quickly, as most Kelvics do, and soon was almost old enough to be independent.
She never knew or has never learned what species her father and mother were, and she assumed they must be Kelvic.
One day, Sari was swimming without her mother to watch over her. She was young, and when a man approached her in his boat, instead of calling out for her mom, Sari said hi. He had seen her morphing, however, and grabbed her by the throat. Thinking she would be able to wriggle away, Sari changed into an otter. But he kept his grip on her and locked her in a cage, with a pale pink ribbon tied around her neck to keep her from morphing. She rocked the cage about, so the man got out a dagger and threatened her. She let out a scream, and her mother came to the side of their boat. Sari's mother yelled back, but could do nothing, as something, most likely magic of some sort, sent her flying back into the mast. 
And so Sari was captured. She lived with the man showing her off for half of a year. She didn't grow any, as he fed her gruel when he remembered to. The man one day obviously forgot Sari's longing to be free and let her out when a friend was over. She bit him on the hand and made a run for the door. However, it was closed. Luckily though, there was an open window and Sari got out. The man lived near the sea, and soon Sari found herself swimming with other otters. She never saw her mom in the numerous otter groups she visited, and soon gave up hope of ever seeing her mom again.
Sari has lived a year in the Suvan sea, drifting from one group of otters to the next, never able to get the wretched ribbon off. She really hates the ribbon.
