Considered one of the most mysterious cities in Mizahar, Alvadas is called The City of Illusions. It is the home of Ionu and the notorious Inverted. This city sits on one of the main crossroads through The Region of Kalea.
The Wolf’s Cave is one of the two competing taverns in Alvadas. Each one of the inns provides and promotes its services to a different type of patron. The Wolf’s Cave is known to promote towards Kelvics, Symenestra, Zith and other races that are more at home with a wilder type feel to their lodgings. The Wolf's Cave is run by a Kelvic Wolf pack and their primary customers tend to be Kelvics.
Apartment Prices 1 sm per day for Simple Room: bed, desk, chair, chest
3 sm per dayfor Luxury Room: double bed, desk, chair, chest, carpet, shelf
The main communal area of the inn is effectively a large cave complex. In the very centre of the room is a large fire pit, which keeps the place warm despite the cold undercurrents provided by the cave and its inherent dampness. A particularly large boulder is propped up by the wall near the entrance. Behind it stands a member of the Kelvic pack, ready to rent a room to any of the town’s guests and locals. Scattered around the spacious cavern are large, round, flat-topped boulders vaguely reminiscent of tables. Fur covered stools litter the room and provide comfortable perches for its patrons. Multiple doors and a set of stairs lead out of the cavern and into the individual rooms. Rooms resemble small cave-type dwelling with rough wooden furniture that you would expect in a standard room anywhere else in Mizahar. A bed, a chest of drawers, a chair and a table. A higher-quality room is avaiable for those wanting a more luxury feel and those willing to pay the price.
NPCs :
Micah Netven Micah always has a playful smile hovering on her lips and a stray lock of hair in her face. She is the most docile of her Kelvic wolf family and the least likely to spontaneously take off on a hunt in the middle of the day. Since she is so gentle and usually compliant, the duty of minding the inn’s front falls on her. She always has a nice word and a smile to offer any customer who stumbles in. She usually spends a bit more time talking to the young men who walk through the Cave’s doors and has been known to offer discounts if someone catches her eye.

History: Micah is the daughter of two wolf Kelvics who also happen to be the owners of the Wolf’s Cave. With her parents spending more and more time in the wilderness, Micah has been left to look after the inn. She is only three years old, but has the necessary management and people skills to succeed in the business. She rarely transforms into her wolf form anymore, enjoying the responsibility that had been vested upon her.
Korin Netven Korin Netven is much feistier than his “sister” and is even regarded as dangerous at times. He takes over greeting the guests whenever Micah is busy. Overly protective of Micah, he has been known to rough up men who have gotten too close to her for his liking. He appears to be just over twenty in human years and has the rugged good looks that so many girls pine after.
History: Korin joined the wolf pack right after Micah’s birth, when he was two years old. Micah’s parents happily took him into their little family and he has associated himself with the Wolf’s Cave ever since. Three years have passed since he was accepted by the family and many other Kelvics have come and gone after him. Korin, however, has stayed loyal to the inn. Even though he mostly does manual labor for the inn, he occasionally looks after the lobby.
The Watering Hole
Upon first glance, it seems like the Wolf’s Cave does not offer any food or drink to its patrons. However, that is not entirely correct. Down one of the many tunnels that create the entirety of the complex, a large cavern can be reached in a hop, skip, or a jump. Illuminated by a mix of candles and torches, the Watering Hole features a moderate bar, a smattering of boulders for tables, ratty armchairs and other pieces of mismatched furniture.
Drinks Fresh water: free Ale (mug): 5 cm Fruit drinks (glass): 1 sm Food Steak: 2 sm Salad: 1 sm Loaf of bread: 5 cm
The bar is of unpolished wood, littered with scratches and other signs of use. Winona, the Watering Hole's unspoken owner, usually serves fresh water, ale and several nutritious fruit cocktails for Symenestra. Food comes in three categories: steak, salad and buttered slices of bread. Despite or perhaps because of the simplicity, those meals are surprisingly satisfactory. Those who prefer more refined cooking, however, are free to dine elsewhere. Behind the bar hangs a large wooden sign reading ‘Do not bring your own food’ in big letters with a clumsy drawing of a bleeding rabbit crossed out underneath. As with most things in the Wolf's Cave, signs are not always followed. Fortunately, the soft spoke Winona is a favorite among many of the more rowdy residents, and those who disobey the rules are often harshly reminded by the more long term patrons with bruises to boot.
One of the more popular hang outs for those seeking simplicity in an ever changing whir of the city in which it was established, the Watering Hole appeals not only to the more wild denizens of the city, but to many visitors as well. Though it is certainly not what one might expect when defined as "a breath of disillusioned air" as many visitors might suggest it, it is a place where many races mingle - not always in good humor, but kept under control well enough. Thanks to Winona's surprisingly entrepreneurial tactics, the Wolf's Den is more than a simple inn, as it holds its own with several landmarks within the city as a place to visit at least once. The simplicity of the establishment makes it unique in what many travelers find as the over complexity of the city proper.
NPCs :
Winona Timbrel Winona is a soft spoken, introverted calico cat kelvic. Everything about her suggests she might belong in a quiet fabrics store, silently knitting a scarf or sewing patches over damaged clothing. Instead, she is, for the most part, considered to be the owner of the Wolf's Cave's Watering Hole, an establishment that began as a joke and grew into a surprisingly successful business. While not the most sociable of individuals, Winona has a sharp mind and a soft tongue, able to hold her own even in the face of a great grizzly or a cunning snake, her lack of prejudice and appreciation for the person beneath the skin has made her an endearing presence within the Cave, though occasionally her quiet demands go unheeded among the more boorish patrons. Though she runs the Watering Hole, Winona rarely uses her position to exempt her from any sort of work: she cleans, tends the bar, cooks, and occasionally will socialize right alongside her employees. Rarely does she ever need to solve anything with physical violence, as it is even more rare for those situations to ever arise. If and when they do, the more capable customers will often "escort" troublemakers outside for a few "lessons" in Kelvic etiquette.
Danisar came to Alvadas a few seasons ago, took up lodging at the Wolf’s Cave and soon became a resident at the small bar attached to the inn. He loves flirting, joking around with bartenders and likeminded patrons. Due to the bells he spends at the bar every night, he is always aware of the latest gossip, always eager to tell a juicy story or two. When he is not drinking or flirting with people of both genders, he works at the Tattered Thread. Some say he is looking for a pretty girl to bring back to Kalinor, but while he enjoys forming connections and appreciating beauty, he does not seem inclined to leave the city anytime soon.
The large, gaping entrance of a building called the Wolf's Cave seemed to be Dlight's savior from the dizzying city of Alvadas. The Zith in him let out a silent, desperate cry urging him to go into the cave, and the Ethaefel did so, eager to escape the wild streets. What a cave was doing in the middle of a city, Dlight wasn't sure, but the interior was true to it's name, a large fire pit warming it's chill.
Low boulders were scattered around the floor of the lobby, fur-covered chairs placed nearby them. In the back of his mind, Dlight could picture something similar to this, a shallow cave with a boulder as a table and furs nailed to the walls with sharpened bones. Containers made from skulls held bones, claws and teeth, along with a few items picked up from the corpses they'd been collected from; it was his favorite home from his most recent past life.
Finally taking notice of the counter, Dlight headed towards it, readying to put his worn bag on it's surface so he could pull out a few miza. Hopefully it would be as cheap as the Traveler's Row.
Alea walked to the entrance of the inn and walked up to the desk.Behind the desk was a man who smelled like a wolf. Allan didn't like it but it would have to do. He pulled out some silver Miza and handed enough over for a week.
He hated being in an enclosed cave, He preferred being free.
Every time I spend to much time in the delusional streets of this city, my head begin to ache at every sound and light. I needed to go lay down, and rest for a bit.
As I walked into the large cave complex, I spotted the wannabe alpha male, Korin. Luckily, he is busy greeting some new guests that I'm assuming are Kelvic, since he never plays that nice with the unaware humans that had the misfortune of walking in here. He hadn't noticed me, so this is a great chance to get to my room.
While pasting by the front desk, I peer out of the corner of my eye at Micah. She has always interested me; she's the only one from her pack that I have met who doesn't have some universal dislike of humans; she always acts graceful and kind to her customers, but she isn't above deceiving guest into extending their stay here or into tipping more than necessary. She looks up and meets eyes with me, and gives me that soft smile of her's.
As I exchanged glaces with the young Kelvic; a strong, rough hand reminiscent of a paw with its sharp claws that would dig into your skin with ease grabbed me by my shoulder. "Relic," a snarling voice accompanied by a slight growl. I turned around with a tired expression, and stared at Korin. I responded by scratching the back of my head, and yawning.
"Where's your rent?" he demanded more than asked, "It has been a month," I gave him a cocky grin and answered, "You know Korin, the whole alpha male act doesn't work than well for you," Everyone that was present that heard my almost threatening, cocky remark awaited with anticipation for a brawl. "Why not try staying at the Cubacious Inn Relic, for once. They are a lot more accepting of your kind," I look at him inquisitively, "Oh, you mean human," I looked around at the numerous Kelvics, Symenestra, and other non-human guests that has come out of their rooms in hopes of a fight. "Well I may be human on the outside, but I have always been an animal at heart," I remarked patronizingly, as I placed my hands over my heart.
As I seen his expression get more whale eyed, I decided to defuse the bomb before these people get what they came out to see. I reached into my pocket and pull out 3 gm. I twirl the coins in my hand and walk to the front desk. I place them down and slid them to Micah. As she picks up the coins, I give her a flirty smile that she returns; the fact that it irritated Korin was only a bonus. I turned back towards him with an innocence smile, "That should be enough," I turned and continued my walk to my room while avoiding people's glazes with a smile of victory on my face.
Gadir turned the corner, following his merchant group to lodgings. However, as they all turned the corner, the group promptly vanished from Gadir's sight. But he was in front of some building that seemed to be lodging. Learning this city was going to become as hard a task as becoming a master mage. He followed the path down into the caves, a homely setting, and not one totally unwelcoming to an Isur.
As he entered the front room, he was met by a rather pretty human looking female.
"Can I help you get a room sir?"
"You certainly can. I'd like the basic room for the rest of the season."
"I must warn you sir, this is a very... rough place to live. I wouldn't want you to get hurt."
Gadir grinned happily and grabbed her on the shoulders lightly.
"I can handle myself. Especially with you around eh?" Nothing like making friends in the city. It promised to be a good time. He popped out his wallet, and pulled out the mizas, adding 50 sm to it and dropping them into her hand, holding his over the top of hers for a few extra seconds watching her startled face before taking the key for his room and heading to check it out.
Cooler than the outside. Spacious. The decorating left something to be desired in its simplicity. There were no stares to greet Summer, with her large pack and hunched walk, there were only passing glances. The more she looked around the more it reminded her of home. Not Sunberth. That had been...the opposite of home. It was comfortable in a way that made her uncomfortable, she couldn't, wouldn't, trust the feeling so soon. Summer would get her room and crush the feeling before it grew into something worse. She couldn't imagine anything worse than another failure. Was there anything worse?
"Can I help you?" It came from a scruffy man.
"Yes." Summer replied just as clipped, "How much is a room?"
The man gave her a clear up-and-down so quick it could be missed. Summer chose to ignore it. She waited while he nodded, like he understood something.
"One silver a night or three for the big rooms."
"For this?"
"Yes."
"Fine. I need one for the season. I'll pay you now...wait while I count." It wasn't hard. Despite the interaction taking the barest of minutes, Summer felt strained. Her skin too tight and the money too loud when it clinked. "Here."
Eight gold and some silver for a place that wasn't in Sunberth. Again the tricksy feeling of contentment rose. The quickness of it this time made her disregard it more than the first. At least the rooms were nice, Summer thanked her host and speedily shut the door in his face.
