Not that it mattered to him whether or not he was his father's only hope of regaining a good reputation for his family name. At first he underwent the standard upbringing of any Isur. Training mind, body and craftsmanship from an early age on. But as soon as he was old enough to really understand the meaning behind his father's words, his father started Operation: Corruption. Malchius has been taught to do anything to get ahead in this world, anything. No matter how low, how foul or how evil the method was...The end always justified the means. With that kind of lecture forced into the young Isur's mind, he grew up and became a rather gifted child in the Arcane arts with other useful skills in his arsenal aswell. Anything goes, in order to become a Sentinel. Something his father failed to achieve. Many things were already set in place to achieve greatness. Malchius' way of thinking, his way of life, his abilities and received training, but it wasn't enough to take the plunge just yet. Malchius' had the 'benefit' of a prepared and first-hand experienced father who knew what was ahead on his son's path. Harsh trials and even harsher mentors. But he knew his son would succeed where he failed, he'd make sure of it. Soon the day would come that Malchius' father would use his carefully established connections with influencial and powerful Isurians, to sneak his son in the ranks of the Initiates. Leaving his father in ignorance, Malchius' wasn't content with 'just' that though. He was going to become a Sentinel, with any means necessary, but he was going to become one. Just as his father desired and planned. But Malchius wasn't going to stop there, he had learned from his father that the Sentinels weren't exclusively owned by Izurdin, but that there were Izurians amongst them who were gifted by other Deities aswell. Something Malchius desired, amongst other things, in order to achieve his true goal. Unfortunately for his father...the poor man, who had spent the last 20 years of his life scheming and working for his son's future... He would very soon become aware of the mistakes he made, and the monster he created.
